- We fitted this customer aerial to 5 rooms and everything worked perfect but 2 weeks late the customer stopped the payment on PayPal! So on the 4th we took payment on the 18th they stopped payment because they said it was some one taking money out of there account what they dint know about! So understandable they said they was sorry and the would send the money back the next day. Still no payment so we rang them and they said the was in Australia. ???? But.......it was a UK dialling tone. We left it till the 28th June still no payment so that's it aerial is getting took down! If u can't pay we take it away!

My uncle (a carpenter, and something of a "character") fitted a large detached house with a complete set of new windows and doors, only for the customer to refuse to pay, making the lame excuse that something was wrong with them, so he turned up at the crack of dawn and started to take out the sealant around the master bedroom window.
The curtains were flung open by the shocked householder who demanded to know what he was doing, so he said "I'm taking them away to fix the fault you complained about. It might take me a couple of months, but don't worry, I'll board everything up really well". The customer couldn't get his cheque book out fast enough ! 😁
(And yeah, it's always the people who can afford it most that are the worst at paying up)

He should have been arrested for trespassing and vandalism. Turning up at someone's house without their permission is trespassing. Odd that you people cry about customers not wearing face coverings and refusing to leave stores citing "private property rights," yet you don't respect the private property rights of homeowners to order contractors to leave irrespective of what services they have rendered.
As a antenna installer i get it,well done. However I'm more impressed how he handled a three storey ladder.

EVERYBODY LOSES, except the scumbag lawyers that only care for billable (real or not) hours. If a person wants justice in this world they need to take matters into their own hands. The justice system is designed to make everyone pay, even victims.

Tip for contractors: on your contract state: 'all materials remain the ownership of x until balance paid in full'. That way you can legally remove your goods without getting into bother with police or courts

@@ds--pu1tvbut you have to reinstate what you replaced in the first place ie in the event of a boiler change, you can't just remove the new one without reinstating the old one as you found it. Impossible and takes twice as long. The only way to stamp this out is customer's who don't pay are charged with theft and therefore receiving a criminal record. As someone else commented, it's generally the people of wealth who are the one's that won't pay.

I like it! My Master Electrician I served my apprenticeship with threatened a neer do well that refused to pay to install lighting on a sign outdoors. My master basically told him pay up or I come dismantle the installation and take my equipment and fixture away. Payment was then, after that declaration, forthcoming immediately. It's a sorry lot that will take your work, use it and then not pay.

As a tradesman myself, what I feel sorry for is all the labour that goes into these jobs. Yes fair enough it’s ripped out (and you may be able to reuse whatever you fitted?) but the labour is often the most expensive part of the job. Society is screwed up when people think it’s acceptable to refuse to pay for a decent job done.

Also send him a bill for your time taking it back! He'll never pay that either so sell THAT bill for $1. to a collection agency. His credit rating will go to hell.
When it goes to collections, its paid and you can dispute it on credit rating.
@@jknott1509 I was a collector long time ago. The collection agency buys the debt or takes a commission but the bill is still under the name of the original creditor and debtor. Legally they become his 'agent'. His credit suffers. Ask around..

Elmwood 1965 My father had a couple of people do that to him, but as a builder he couldn't take everything back(much as they wanted to) took over a year to get the money and even then he didn't get all of it.

I am so obsessed I can’t sleep without starting at the window of my neighbors basement, Yk I just love them so much.
I saw one video where contractors built a brick extension to a home's entranceway. Think of a small brick room in front of the door. The woman refused to pay. The contractors came back with sledgehammers and destroyed their work and carted off the bricks. The house was NOT damaged in the process.
I took apart a couples water heater when they tried to stiff me on the bill. And l was sure all the nieghbors knew what all the fuss was about.

Seeing him up close seems like a nice fellow, watching him go up and down the ladder he kind of looked like a creature.
I once did a job for a woman who didn't pay; after weeks of phoning etc. still didn't pay. So I went to the local builders merchants and ordered two cubic meters of loose sand to her address and had them tip it on her drive way! She called me immediately, I had a brief chat with her. She demanding I get it off her driveway! I refused and told her to stuff her money where the sun doesn't shine; with her then calling me repeatedly and me not answering! Still to this day, I have no idea what she did with the sand!
That's the way to do it, but unfortunately she used your money to buy some deckchairs and turn her drive into mini Blackpool pleasure beach

Full turnouts with air aperatus on with mask then carrying a 65 lb (29.4 kg) up a 45' ladder. I passed but was shaking like a leaf. This guy on here, steady as a rock
