Great video. The modern method has merits. The merits of being competent, single handed, either hand, are often glossed over in modern pistol shooting. It would be great practice to train either of the dual styles at least as a supplement.
Not by anyone competent. Sure, training focuses on the most effective method, but "support hand" and "dominant" hand shooting are both considered important.
Can't wait for you to be in a movie doing that, maybe mocap for a videogame? :) Great video and as a big fan of westerns this month is bound to be a fun one for videos.
I refuse to buy another single action in 45 colt until I can get ammo.... I refuse to buy another single action in 45 colt until I can get ammo.... and I'm going to stick to that.... I hope.
This is me but wanting an 1851 Navy. I have casting equipment so I can pick up the mold to make the round balls, and I've got some black powder, but where on earth I'd find percussion caps at the moment is anyone's guess lol.
Might want to check the angle on the cross draw holster as in video it appears to be very close breaking the 30 degree maximum angle? How long you shoot SASS ?🤔
That holster was my dad's, and yes, it got scrutinized quite a bit. Never put a protractor on it, but it was close. I shot SASS from 2009-2012. I shot Gunfighter, with double strong-side holsters (obviously).
I've been with SASS 25 plus years shooting duelist, you would be surprised how many cross draw holsters break the 30, nothing done about it. Thanks for the video.
I'm gonna try doing it this way so that the videos will be seen in 4K right out of the gate. Yesterday's took a loooong time to finish processing after I released it. 😁

Gunfighter style is super cool cowboy stuff.
I have a dedicated video on Gunfighter tips coming. 😁
Thanks, fun video. Duelist stuff looks tricky, for the coordination, looks cool though.
Well that's a darn informative and succinct video! Nicely done, sir!
Thank ya! 👊🏽

My wife is spending the week visiting her mom, so I've been binging Westerns all week. 😁
I believe that hound is requesting a hunt, boss. he sees the revolver...
That's fucking awesome, dude!

Reload, it's way cheaper
@@blackhawk65589 You try and source large pistol primers lately?

Primers are showing up again slowly. In store even definitely online
Doggo shot clock
I really love dogs, but our neighbor's new puppy is pushing my limits. 😆
Wish I could make this, but I'll be in physical therapy at that time!

Interesting stuff 👍
And cap&ball ones?
Cap&Ball still use one of these styles. 👍🏼
Is it tomorrow yet?

Fine looking birdhouse also!
Thy right on the money ans clear.
Not categories but “shooting styles”.
It's been a while. 😁
Either Cowboy Shooting has changed drastically since I stopped shooting 12yrs ago or this guy is ???????? confused.
