We tried all kinds of shakers and rattles. We spent a day trying rattling all kinds of different things that didn't work. I happened to have a walking stick from New Mexico which is a whole rattlesnake. The handle is it's head; the tip of the stick is the rattle. And that was the thing that worked.

Knew Keith in another life......he just seems so familiar.....perhaps it is just that he....and the Rolling Stones have ALWAYS been in my life.....just a radio dial or a turntable away! Keith's solo work, and his stuff with Expensive Winos is fantasic, just as his work with the Stones! We all know he is the epitome of "ROCK STAR" And "ROCK LEGEND", but i am just really learning what an absolute genius he is musically.....it is his influence that give the STONES that superior edge that sets them above all others.....he just has a knack of subtlety accentuating parts of songs that just sends it up to higher levels ....he and Mick as the Glimmer twins have written so many amazing songs, songs that have withstood the test of time.....and are relevent and just as fresh today, as they were when originally played! Keith Richards, may you live long and continue to make such amazing music! Perhaps in our next lives, we could play together!
You got the Silver and Happy were the only songs I know where Keith is the main vocalist, there might be more but those are the only two that I know of.

Love Keith’s guitar, so many genre of music, in one note or a single chord. He’s the shit…a genius.
A native American I met some time ago texted me the other day and asked me how I was doing and that he had a dream he picked up a large white eagle's feather. I answered, I told the story of how I found a white eagle's feather to some of my family, just yesterday, and I was very amazed. Of coarse, my family does not believe my story, and they mock it, but the Indian I know, does believe me. He also knows I'm going thru a lot, and does not get involved, but he did check on me. True story, and lately I rely much on this Native American Vision, it's what keeps me together so I do not unravel and fall apart, under attack from every angle, but I am protected, I have a shield, and I will rise above the enemy. I tell this story because of a mysterious connection that somehow haunts me to the point I must deal with it.

It's a good song. I think Keith's solo albums are great. Wikipedia says, though it's lacking a citation for this:
When Richards reunited with Mick Jagger (who recorded Wandering Spirit while Richards was making Main Offender) in mid-1993 to start work on Voodoo Lounge, Jagger complimented him on Main Offender,[citation needed] and used the single "Wicked as It Seems" as inspiration for The Rolling Stones' next single, "Love Is Strong".
I can see that as plausible because Love Is Strong does have a similar vibe and sound as Wicked As It Seems.
***** --Don't know if it's true as there' no citation but it's an interesting note on The Rolling Stones, their songwriting (and the aspect that they're willing to draw inspiration from each others solo work).
swiftslick I don't know, their solo work has been different as far as Mick and Keith. Keith's was bluesy, and Mick's was more modern and "dancy." Keith's bluesy songs are a little more safer than Mick's past solo albums. They work better together, though. If Mick does a new solo album, as he's recently mentioned might happen, I hope he stays away from the current trend of country music, and sticks to his bad funky self. The Stones have done enough country-ish music, which bores me, and I hate trends. I guess he could mix it up, though not too many slow songs. I thing Some Girls is a good kind of mix, for example. It could be that inspiration is just the act of doing a new album--he did, I'll do it. Not sure.
