Keith is an inspiration for all seniors that life doesn't have to end at 80 or even the 90's. The hardest part is getting the labels to admit to the quality of the new songs and giving them a chance. There is always room for a great song and then watch your audience grow.
Billy Angelino here just want to say,wow and thank you so much everyone for the likes on my comment. I get a lot of likes on every different video, be it music, sports, movies, whatever, basically because, if you knew me like a lot of people here in Winter Haven, Fl, you would know that I am always honest, sincere, trustworthy, don't bullshit or hurt anyone. Most of all, I see a lot of replies where people will down grade or really give a person a super hard time or out right nasty to someone else who had a different opinion about a video. Remember folks, that is exactly what it is, an opinion, and I respect everyone who comments, even if I don't agree, I will nicely say, I understand how you feel, but just my opinion, and we all are entitled to one, and mine is, then I give it. Great things I remember as a child, from a great teacher, my dad, who I lost last year, I move forward like he made me promise I would, but every morning I awake, I miss him more than the day before. Also folks, I am no preacher or someone special, or better than anyone else, but in this crazy world today, as well as since I was a child, I always try to talk to people in public, have nice conversations, listen, learn and laugh. Do you know how many times, after a day out, that on the drive home, I realized the smile on my face, ear to ear, just happy as hell because of good conversation and being nice to my fellow man. It's a great feeling for me because I see so many miserable people in public, from out right rude to just mean, and it's really sad, because life is great and wonderful and so much to do, places to go and see, people to meet, etc..., but in the blink of an eye, your world changes, some times, for the worse. The day my dad was diagnosed with stage four cancer, nothing could be done, October, before my fifty nineth birthday, doctor said, thank God if he sees Christmas. Guess what folks, he passed away at three am, the day before Christmas Eve. You can imagine what I think of one of my favorite times of the year, my entire life, why?, because of what a joy mom and dad made it for all of us kids, this year, the family had a great time, but I took my beloved little girls, my dogs, to Vero Beach and stayed for a few days, alone and didn't give Christmas a thought. It is a luxury to be able to see and hear this version that Keith Richards makes of "I'm waiting for the man". Lou Reed would have liked it very much..
Glad someone mentioned Keith’s book. Brutally vivid and an absolute joy to read! Every chapter seems to have LOL parts and not just one-liners! Buy two copies- one for the living room and one for the bathroom. Open it to any page and you’ll be smiling very quickly I promise! Also had the pleasure to “ meet “ Lou Reed at the Coney Island Mermaid Parade in the early 2000s. He was the co-Grand Marshal w/ (I think) Gwen Stefani - they were in a decorated rickshaw-type cart just ascending the ramp and turning onto the boardwalk at the start of the route. Lou was wearing a big scowl and my co-worker Vic (who knew him somewhat from working in a recording studio) yells out,” hey LOU! It’s a parade! You’re supposed to smile!” He looked up, saw who it was, and scowled even harder- which made everyone in earshot laugh even harder! Classic Brooklyn moment- ya can’t make this sh*t up😂! (The Mermaid Parade is definitely a “walk on the wild side”! Usually the Saturday following summer solstice- still ongoing but the future’s uncertain (and the end……🎵)

true? someone met amy w ihouse before she passed a wet with spittle roach is not a joint did you when you on the job at the ritz smoke you might have keith dna in your lungs
So exiting - i am 73 - he is 80 - 1965 After Beatles - The Stons was the beginning of my being - thankful - and so on in the centuries with Good Music
For me: The Beatles, Dave Clark 5, Herman's Hermits, The Zombies, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones (Keith was a friend of George Harrison).
We all remember the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. That was a true revelation for all us boomers. But after not too long The Stones appeared and all my 11-year-old self could think was NOW YOU'RE TALKING!
Status Quo and SpinalTap
I'm just a 16 year old girl, but I'm in love with this 80 year old man.
I'm a 66 year old man, and I think that you are so cool. You have great taste in music. 🎉
Many such cases. 16 year old girls have been falling in love w/Keef for about 60 years.
Be nice to your grannies... Do they like the STones? Share your loves of music with them, after asking them to share their music with you/ BTW did you know that genetically you are more like your grans than your ma and pa?
haha. you should try the original.........
17 yo girl here!
Thank you Mr. Richards. Total satisfaction!
Oh my goodness. If anyone can relate it's KEITH. JUST AS GOOD AS LOU.
Soul man super soul boogie❤
How do you compare? Did you own an album?
Actually better than LR
In this cover it's like The best elements of Lou and the best elements of Bowie compounded in a jam session.
I prefer this to any versions of the song Lou did solo, the original VU version is probably better though.
RUKIDDING!! This is the best! A gift from the God's today!! Thanks Lou and Keith!+++
Keith is better than fine wine.
Hello how are you? So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song
Absolutely Fantastic, I miss Lou Reed. Can you imagine both of them singing this together,🤩🤩🤩🤩
They would be looking for the Man ,and more!!!
exactly, as from Lou!
Rock on Keith, you're a totally badass player who's aging like fine wine.
i am 67, a wife. i love to dance all the night long with your rousing rhythmic style!
Long life Keith!
WOW what a force Keith's riffs are... (Stones forever)
God Bless Keith! He's the greatest treasure we have ever had! Real and one of a kind!
Richards, Jordan, Neville = funky, loose, dirty, ragged, all about the groove = unmatched, untouchable, the best.
I'm 73 years old Kieth Richards Memorial for Lou Reeds is simply Amazing...🎉
I'm 66 and you made a good call! I should find it and watch it.

Brought Tears of Memories! Rock 'n Roll Animal - Perfect tribute to Lou Lou! Thank you, Keith❤
Hello So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song
When Lou Reed wrote this song way back in the day, he was thinking of Keith Richards.
I was born 1974 and this song has been true story when I was in early twenties..💯🎶👍✌
If Kieth Richard was the only musician in the world, that would be plenty
I’m 72 been Loving Keith since 1964 this is amazing❤❤❤❤
wow, Keith understands rock and roll cool better than anybody. The real deal indeed.
It hasn't been a secret .. Keef was born cool.

most folks who try to cover this song really just don't get it, but Keith does.
Damn straight son. Keith for sure gets Lou🕺🤪
brother keith is the only dude on the planet that could do justice to a classic lou reed track about making
a score ,,,,, brill
Amen
This is the proof that rocknroll will never die
ROCK N ROLL IS HERE TO STAY 💛🎵
Kick ass! Saw Keith's Main Offender Tour 1993 Boston Orpheum Valentines Day. Took my wife by limo to Boston and saw Keith & The X-Pensive Winos for Valentines Day. Rock'on Keith!! RIP Lou Reed and Thank You for the music.
I saw him in Cologne in Germany , great time
Just as great as ever - keep on,
keeping on, Bonnie, yeah!!!
Your a good man with that plan. Im jelly-😅😅😅😅
Caught the Winos ‘93 tour in Phoenix. Very front row, exact center. Great show… band was so tight.
Always proud to be a Rolling Stones fan especially Keith Richards....Been a fan for 55yrs.. AlWaYs FoR EveR..
Truly this is a snapshot of KEEF chilling with his homies. Seriously it is beautiful coz it shows that THEY ALL CHILLIN IN THE SAME VIBE...TOGETHER IN EVERY WAY. ENJOYING EVERY SECOND
Lou Reed wrote this about the time that the Rolling Stones had their first hit. I really like this and it fits Keith like a glove.
Beautiful! This was the favorite song of a good friend of mine. He dos not live anymore. I think Keith is one of the few still alive who knows the darkness of this song from the old days.
I'm 76 and I'm hoping he outlives me. Lol he's been a part of my life for I can say years. Keep going Kieth 😊❤❤❤❤
Lou would be pleased as punch. Can't stop listening. ❤
Grinning ear to ear !
Did you know Lou?Ever been a junkie desperate to cop on a corner you totally shouldn't be on except for that one bad thing that you can't help yourself from needing? Nothing romantic in addiction.
@@kevind7422 I hear ya ... I am putting this on every day, sometimes several times. I don't hear anything else in my mind ... It's just this.
What a great surprise. Keef is so rock n roll. My favorite guitar player ever. Gold rings on ya!!!
He’s just the hippest dude on the planet, period ❤❤❤
Keith, man, where ever you are, I want to say you; this is such a great song, I cannot believe my ears! You are a genius!
My weed man walked through the door and I sang and played this for him just a few days ago. Great song, great video
😅😅👍👍
Killer rendition of the song. Keef still at the top of his game at 80! Steve Jordan producing and on drums and Dave O'Donnell at the board
Reeds Rocking In Paradise (RIP) Richards does him proud ....☝🏻🎸💀🔗💃
Das Lied ist einfach göttlich!!! Hab Dank ❤ dafür!
Thats the great Rock-style I enjoy since a teen ... now I'm middle of 70th ages... Go on Keith !!!
It is a luxury to be able to see and hear this version that Keith Richards makes of "I'm waiting for the man". Lou Reed would have liked it very much..
FRENCH COVER ? YES SIR !

Der alte Mann hat es immer noch drauf!❤
Oooowwww WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'OLD MAN' I,LL HAVE YOU KNOW I FEEL AS YOUNG AS I LOOK. ✌️😎
Another home run for our man....Mr. Keith Richards!!
No one can cover a song from Lou Reed ,like Keith Richards, just stating facts🎉🎉
Perhaps Bowie did it better, don't you agree😉
I believe Keith did.
It comes no where near the original song, unfortunately. Wish Keith hadn't bothered, suspect he does himself in retrospect.
@@niallbourke7963Let’s hear your version and you can listen to us tear it apart. Stfu.
Same good habits.😅
Just finishing to read his autobiography...what a LIFE, what a BOOK... What a LEGEND!!!
Thats the second book
I'm pretty sure Keith never had to wait one single minute for "the man!" Thank you Baby Jesus for getting him through! ❤❤❤❤❤
😂
On Tours he had to wait for days, depending whrere he was, according to his words
Oh yeah,he did....Jonesing many times with Bobby Keyes in hotel rooms. Read Keith's book
After he had ”quit” in -78 he was forced to score in the East village, -78 to -80. He was waiting for the man outside som apt.
8lb 6oz baby Jesus in his golden fleece diapers
El mundo es alegre porque Keith sigue rockeando.
From ARG🇦🇷 GRACIAS POR TANTO! Te Amamos! 🎸🎸🎸♥️
The king of rock'n roll!
God dammed! He sounds like Lou reed. Good stuff.
Wow, oozes with cool. Keith you still got soul brother. I'm 63 haven't touched stuff for 30 years. Song is so cool I nearly opened my front door and headed down town. Love the blues riff. Then I remembered I don't take anymore, just joking, Aussie Jim Down Under.
61 year old Aussie and Lou was always on the record player late 70's through the 80's everytime I got on and was feeling good, well not sick good anyway. 😂.
Keith's got just the perfect kind of voice to sing songs such as this. LEGEND. I love you!
Keith ist einfach immer noch ein so cooler Typ ! Meine Hochachtung!
He was waiting for his man for so many years so this song suits him. 😊
yes, what a driving groove. Thank you Mr Richards and the band.
A great groove!
Excellent version, faithful in sonic and atmospheric terms to the original. Walk it home!
Keith - the BEST !!!!!!
