Me too
My mother listened to Bob Dylan on the car radio when I was 5 or 6, back in the 60's. I called him "the guy who couldn't sing" and here I am entering my '60s, listening to him in 2022. 💥 Legend
i wish i couldnt sing as good as that goat. you described it great though for a kid..no pun intended as i look at my goat haha
Yet he sounds so good
Great comment. I am right there with you.
mum had good taste
You are right. Still can't sing!😮
He sings "...the next 60 seconds can feel like an eternity" 60 seconds before the song ends. That's genius songwriting.
i didnt spot that..the mans genious is out of this world......he answered my comment about 4 hrs ago..he asked me where i was texting from.
You're not giving away my water pik !!
And at 4:30 he sings "I'm not eager to make a mistake" you hear how he plays the chord wrong.

Yes that's true. That's why we made a cover version of "Things Have Changed"!
It's about our time, the past 2 decades and getting there. This is actually prophetic (1999).
Bob’s songs always leaves tears in my eyes....having been born deaf, My hearing aids haven’t been much help until I was 49 (I am now 56) - once I got my cochlear implant, I fell in love with Bob’s songs...my all time fave is Like a Rolling Stone in 1966 in England where he was jeeered and booed....that song was electrifying! Many of his folk songs are about social issues of the day and love them deeply! Thank Bob for awakening my hearing sense!
Yes his albert hall concert then was beautifully and eloquently sung with such character and class...Genius.. without a doubt...

Love Bob, acoustic or electric.
It’s what’s in the lyrics.
Takes you somewhere…
Brings you back home.
Either way
Your never the same
Were people really booing? What was your opinion on him going electric?
@romancamarda4239 yes afraid so when Bob and Band opened the second half of concert with Like a Rolling Stone lots of loyal folk fans started booing and calling out Judas and started leaving...obviously not happy with going electric..their loss but we were stoked brilliant concert...when the yelling started I'm sure Bob said to the Band "Play Louder "
Dylan is the Real Deal, a great songwriter and a genuine troubadour
Listening in June 2024. I don't know what it is, but I love listening to Bob Dylan on a road trip...especially a fall road trip, for some reason. The light, the color of fall, especially towards evening, is just perfect with Bob's music. Nothing like heading to Gatlinburg listening to some Dylan.
That's sooooo true! Listening to Dylan in the fall is a perfect combo!
I think this is a great song too, sometimes its nice to listen too in the evenings or when you take a motorcycle trip but the times are changing was good for that also.Cool enough
@@garyhorgan680 hopefully they’re changing again. Past time for the young generations to take control and kick all the crypt kickers in Congress out. Those people had their day and then a lot more too. They need to retire. The times they are changin’.

This was the song that encouraged me to get out of a bad relationship, not give in and find a new life. It worked. Thanks Bob.

Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan were irreplaceable giants. I'm grateful to have lived while they were alive.
Dylan's still going strong.

Lol don't speak of him in the past tense! July 2024 he's still the living legend of music. And a master poet - a genius with words. The greatest artist alive.
Funny you mentioned Dylan and Cohen. I am a songwriter with a bad voice and after listening to both of them I decided to start writing my own songs. Nobody knows when I sing an off note. Saw both of them live and thankful for that!
The older I get, the more I appreciate this song.

Lyrics:
A worried man with a worried mind
No one in front of me and nothing behind
There's a woman on my lap and she's drinking champagne
Got white skin, got assassin's eyes
I'm looking up into the sapphire tinted skies
I'm well dressed, waiting on the last train
Standing on the gallows with my head in a noose
Any minute now I'm expecting all hell to break loose
People are crazy and times are strange
I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range
I used to care, but things have changed
This place ain't doing me any good
I'm in the wrong town, I should be in Hollywood
Just for a second there I thought I saw something move
Gonna take dancing lessons do the jitterbug rag
Ain't no shortcuts, gonna dress in drag
Only a fool in here would think he's got anything to prove
Lotta water under the bridge, lotta other stuff too
Don't get up gentlemen, I'm only passing through
People are crazy and times are strange
I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range
I used to care, but things have changed
I've been walking forty miles of bad road
If the bible is right, the world will explode
I've been trying to get as far away from myself as I can
Some things are too hot to touch
The human mind can only stand so much
You can't win with a losing hand
Feel like falling in love with the first woman I meet
Putting her in a wheel barrow and wheeling her down the street
People are crazy and times are strange
I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range
I used to care, but things have changed
I hurt easy, I just don't show it
You can hurt someone and not even know it
The next sixty seconds could be like an eternity
Gonna get lowdown, gonna fly high
All the truth in the world adds up to one big lie
I'm love with a woman who don't even appeal to me
Mr. Jinx and Miss Lucy, they jumped in the lake
I'm not that eager to make a mistake
People are crazy and times are strange
I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range

I was in my early 20's when I first started listening to Bob Dylan music. I'm in my 70's now!!
Just like me.
I was 7 when my uncle put headphones on my head to listen to Dylan. Been obsessed ever since.
What song still kicks you in the feels?
Preferently, the songs I heard in the sixties. It was my best time in the life.
Later, " Jokerman", "Sara" , Mountain thymes" and many other ones, because he is my absolute songwriter. And, you ?
@@mariececile3973 one too many mornings and ballad in plain D also most of his stuff from bootlegs 1 2 and 3 even new stuff like time out of mind..... his sound and words painted my world and the world that was my marriage... He has been involved in so many of my moments of recall
This man really knows how to make good music, I'm only 19 years old, people sometimes ask me: "Why do you listen to those strange and old songs?" I just answer them "Society will always want to drag us all into its trends and new banal habits" but only we decide if that happens or not. I listen to Bob Dylan and I feel like I don't even belong to this time, and the truth, I wish I could have been in those times and thus forget a little about the disastrous future that for those times, we would not have imagined that these days would come. I love your work Bob Dylan, hope to meet you soon!🖤🍁
Tenho 62 anos e posso dizer com certeza estes eram os melhores anos que eu vivi.. 🇧🇷
Dylan has some old songs but this is not an “old” song
I have a better answer for those people: "Go away".
@saddler if that's how you answer, you sound insufferable. Just enjoy your music and let others enjoy theirs. I'm sure you and I share music taste, but the way you go about it is so pretentious.

Interesting perspective... quite Dylan like
Machiavelli
In Postively 4th Street he says "If you're so hurt, why then don't you show it" and in this he goes for "You can hurt somebody and not even know it" - of course the contexts are different but i think it's cool - he mellowed out
Yeah, maybe. But, still the hard rain's gonna fall.
Adam Nicholson yes things have changed. president Trump is in office. yea
There are several advantages to having been born - mid-twentieth century America…being a contemporary of Bob Dylan is...without a doubt…a significant one of them.
Just kidding everyone knows that you and everyone in your generation is selfless and has definitely left the world a better place than you inherited. I mean just look at America now compared with your coming of age! We were a third world country in 65. Now look at us. An economic power house. At war with no one. All the societal problems are gone. We have a homogeneous society with law and order. The list goes on forever and then we are going to be blessed with the opportunity to get choose which aging Boomer we want to more good to us this fall. Trump or Biden. Good times
This is a great jam. Love Wonder Boys and it's dance scene. I understand Mr. Dylan won an Academy Award for this tune.
This one has a Leonard Cohen vibe to it to my way of thinking. Man-o-man what a song
Yeah. That makes sense for those that know.
They were good friends for many years.
The beauty of it is the simplicity of the melody and the home hitting lyrics, just fantastic.
Absolutely. Totally Cohen style. One of my favorite Dylan songs.

One of the greatest storyteller and artists of all time.
AGREE
I would say that Bob just keeps getting better but he has always been the same ..always amazing and always the best.
you so right my friend
simple comment, but very true.
...
One of my favorite quotes from Bob ☆
"There is nothing so stable as change.
- Bob Dylan
Bob Dylan's entire musical life has been a continuous peak experience
... and we've all benefited from it
+fishinsolitude ***
yeah I agree. I've binifeted from his everlasting career.
I guess his quote " nothing is as stable as change " ( if it was his quote :)
was a reference to other areas of his life.? who knows...✌
dylan is the Messiah !
Congratulations! Your poetic genius set to music has spanned over 50 years and is still so relevant to all of us.
I was 14 when I first saw him I'm 73 now.
I personally cannot think of any artist of any genre that has made me think about what the world is truly like more than Bob the man Dylan has
Dylan is "The Poet"!!!
I agree.
+Paul Forman your si right he's a poet okay bro
He says he doesn't like the word "poet."
+Paul Forman for sre
I listen to Bob Dylan when I'm happy, when I'm sad, or when I just feel frustrated and need to calm down. He's got a song for every occasion and he's truly the poet of his generation and every generation since.
I have such appreciation for his music. The day we don't have Dylan anymore is going to be a very sad day.
I try not to think about life without Bob's music. Take care.
thankfully we will always have his body of work
Bob surely is a blessing.
Bob Zimmerman is a legend godly. He is a spirit in a human form.
A poet par excellence. Bless u.salute u.no words to describe his poetry.
I could keep listening to this song again and again and again.
I do❤👍
i am right now. i loved it from the first time i heard it when i saw the film in 2000. found the sheet music online as did my brother - an early dylan fan. i listen many times at a time. genius. sapphire tinted skys....
Oh yes.. Bob is like fine wine❤
Dylan the GOAT
1966 I first heard rainy day women, I’ve been listening to Dylan ever since. Cheers from Australia.
Happy 75th Birthday Bob Dylan!!!
I remember being 19 when this came out.. was dating this smoking hot rich Greek girl. Every time this would come on the radio she would get excited for me and blast it with a big smile... years later i recognized how priceless a girl like that is.. 20+ years later we still talk. Ill always remember those moments with fondness. Its a beautiful thing when the woman in your life shares joy in your simple joys! Much love.
Legend doesn't even get close. Been like a major organ in how many lives? Certainly mine. Thank you, dear God, for sending him to us.
Congratulations Mr. Dylan for winning the 2016 Nobel Prize in literature!!
"I hurt easy but I just don't show it/ You can hurt someone and not even know it..." "People are crazy and times are strange/I'm locked in tight, I'm outta range /I used to care, but things have changed..." He's The Master Craftsman!!!
Certainly. And listen to the lousy metre he uses to demonstrate it in the first line, awkward, graceless, and quite outside the verbal arts. It's like he's blurting it out, which is perfect considering what he is expressing. What he says and how he says it are thus somehow the same thing, the correct term for which is artistic coherence.
Dylan is so good at this (at provoking the intense satisfaction one feels when sensing the coherence in a work of art) that he can sneak it past you dozens of times in a single song. You think it's good and you don't even know why, nor perhaps do you discover why for many years, or ever.
I'm still realizing why after decades and still not all the way through.
I have always given Bob Dylan a miss, but its me thats been missing out. I am hooked on this song!
Every time I hear this I need to get up and dance in celebration of what Bob Dylan has given us for over half a century.
You don't have to be an expert to know when you are in the presence of a genius and his high capacity to create such a pearl like "Things have change" I know some day Mr. Dylan will leave us but rest assured his awesome work will live on for ever.
A sad contemplation of life these crazy days.
God bless you Bob Dylan Zimmerman. Y live 1000yrs.
That will be the day When Music and poetry dies
You don’t need a weather man to know which way the wind blows
Oh my word!!! I forgot how amazing this song and video was:) Bob Dylan is the coolest guy I know of and he is 78!
This song was recorded at the exact moment that Dylan’s voice was perfection. It took time to master his sound. This is it.
The older I get, the more I appreciate this song !!!
I TOO .GREETINGS FROM SOFIA 🇧🇬BULGARIA
He has the perfect voice for this song
I remember reading an article years ago that suggested that Dylan might lose his legend status if he kept touring frequently. I think the writer was wrong-the Never Ending Tour has no doubt added to his legend.
Read an article about how the never ending tour has messed up his vocal chords. Explaining his ever changing singing voice
I saw him live about 15 years ago. I said to myself if I never see another artist live I'm good.
Dylan could give a f*ck about his legend status and so should you. Meaningless crap.
Wonderfull song . Feeling the same
No doubt about it, there will Never, Ever be Anyone Like Mr. Dylan ❤❤❤
Masterpiece.
I'm an artist and Bob Dylan is the only music I can listen to while I paint. It just goes together naturally.
Hi Deann, How are you doing ?
I write poetry and find his music the best for stimulating creativity. And like you said, it just feels natural.
What a good song for 2024
Possibly my favourite track ever.
People are crazy and times are strange.... yes indeed Bob, yes indeed.tell it!!
Maybe my favorite song of all time. Means a lot to me.
Tomorrow, on my birthday, is his concert in Stuttgart. Can't wait!!
My god suddenly I can relate to this song..i heard it when i was just a kid, dint make any sense. Crazy how his work hits you when least expect it. Genius.
Dylan saw the future in this song from 1999!
The world will weep when he leaves, thank you for the beautiful memories 💋
I tear up just thinking about it
How dare you jinx him!! Music Gods dont die
Today in the morning i listened a critic about why Dylan will not present in the Nobels ceremony, they said that he is watering, but I thing that Bob Dylan is my master. He doesn't need any prize in order to demonstrate that he is a poet and a great musician..He´s the best!!! He is just a simple person that knows that he doesn't need to be recognized. We know who is he and that´s all he needs to be Bob Dylan....my love forever to him
U have it right...always did
I suspect he was simply overwhelmed by the honor & didn't know how to respond. Idiots somehow leaped to the conclusion he was being arrogant jerk, quite the contrary I suspect.
This gem is addicting
I can't stop playing it.
Where the heck have I been to have missed this song until today?
Wow!!!
Good question. Tell us, lol!
I'm glad you got to hear it.I play it over and over, and pretend I'm dancing with Dylan.
Raising two sons alone and trying to keep my head above water. 🎉
@moeshiner156
*" I'm trying to get as far away from myself" I can relate to that statement.
