Hey, I just want to inform you that your videos reach Germany also. I really like to watch and learn from them. I just started learning two weeks ago. when I suddenly got a board to my 30th birthday. I think I told my girlfriend too often how cool the skaters are nearby the cinema we use to go to...:)
Took me about 2months to learn ollie almost perfectly, so i guess its going to take another 2months to learn to ollie while moving :D Also i learned casper stall in 3hours, and landing a kickflip is very close !
+sirsenpai. I have the same problem, I live in a rural area where I only have my driveway (which is quite long) But it's not smooth at all. The only good area I have is my carport which is usually occupied and not level.
I'm 44 years old just learned to ollie standing on my board in the garage. I am really excited to learn to pop up curbs. I skated ramps and just down the road hill bombing for years. I almost can't believe I've been able to progress. An old dog can learn new tricks
Thanks for tips man! I'm getting back into skating form the Bay Area as well :-) I'm 22 used to skate back in middle school and high school. I knew how to Ollie but never was the best at them. Only when I stopped always looking at my board like you mentioned I was becoming more better at skating. Now that I'm back trying to skate like I was before I realize that I'm really focused at looking at my feet/board and that's why I don't always land clean or even get a nice Ollie going when I know I can. Also just keeping my body straight and shoulders would help a lot more. Cool thing that we have videos like these to help out with skating. Sometimes I just don't realize what I'm doing wrong but now I know. Thanks dude!
This was the best tutorial ever now I know how to do a Ollie thanks and that is the best thing I have ever seen😄😄😄😄and keep making more videos thank you😊😊😊😁😁😁😁
You can start with the rear foot more over the trucks than the tail if it helps you shift the front foot but after a while you should be able to adjust with the rear foot on the tail too. Remember to not lean backwards over the tail; keep your weight centred over and forwards (in the direction of movement) even if you're unweighting the front foot for either a kick turn or popping. Practise this a lot and it just gets easier to pivot without putting too much pressure/friction on the front foot. Repeat by doing it switch, remembering to keep your rear leg fairly straight and your weight forwards, not over the tail.
+Corelachew I think he said that he changed it from "Pro" to "Sponsored" because kids were getting their panties in a knot over the fact that they don't think he's a "real" pro (which is complete bullshit of course, Aaron's got his name on a board - he's pro).
Radio Personal* AYYY! THIS IS CALLER 99!! MAY ASK WHO'S SPEAKING!!!? Aaron* "Hi my name is Aaron Kyro I'm a sponsored skateboarder from the San Fransisco Bay Area "
The riding around with your board to get comfortable is very important, I was getting really better with my skateboard just because of this one tip Aaron mentioned. Unfortunately I got busy for a few years and now I have to ride around to feel comfortable again. Only challenge is I'm in Vancouver which is always raining and now its snowing XD Does anyone know a good place to skate around in Vancouver or MetroVan while snowing?
NOTICE::: when you ride your pops are allot "poppier" or they pop higher or easier how ever you want to say so when you practice Ollie-ing while rolling take that in consideration while practicing (like for more people to see it'll help them allot)
Hey Aaron, I was walking a lot at work breaks for exercise but decided to get my first board and try it instead. Rode about 3 hrs last night and your tutorials give me a lot of good help. By the was I am 45 and am looking forward to progressing in the hobby. Thanks, Kevin
Great info. Getting back into skating after many many years. Old school skater from the 80s, refreshing my rusty skills. Maintain focus on obstacle. Great pointer.
As a beginner adult (41 yo) who just learned to ollie rolling properly here are my tips:(and YES they are valid, because I am old, "wise" and share my personal experience which is FAR different than a professionals' who learned ollie 30 years ago)... 1. Learn standing ollie on carpet to get confident 2. When you have the technique down move fast to concrete and use a crack to stabilise-You need to get the feel of the pop on concrete 3. Standing-still ollies on concrete are actually harder than rolling cos your wheels are slightly "rolling" when you crouch (if NOT on a crack) back and forth and you feel like you are gonna fall anytime 3. Chances of falling and hit are higher on standing-still ollies (on concrete) rather than rolling-When rolling you will automatically bail out and the skate will fly away-Trust me on this 4. You need 10-20 attempts of rolling ollies just to kick the fear out-Thats the only obstacle actually-Even if you land 0 ollies, its important so you stop fearing 5. Pop is NOT important and actually it should require small effort-The harder you push, the likely the skate to fly forward 6. Front foot is ALL the MONEY when rolling. You really need to slide it to the nose. It guides the board and makes everything simple-It also guides the jump-It also makes you feel connected to the deck and more in control so you fear less-The back foot will ALWAYS follow if the front foot goes where it should 6. Don't be afraid to land on the NOSE-You are NOT going to get hurt-Landing on the tail is FAR worse as the skate flies away and you fall on your back, hurting wrists and head 7. Use hard wheels when standing still, soft wheels for smooth roll when rolling (unless you have a very smooth area or skate park that you go to). Having a smooth rolling makes you feel safe and balanced more. But soft wheels when standing still just roll back and forth when you crouch and you fall. 8. 99.99% of the time Its NOT the shoulders that are turning your board-Its the front foot! If the toes point forward you WILL turn as your leg makes a small cycle rather than going straight up to the nose. Keep it sliding on the SIDE up to the nose. Still working on that actually... 9. Don't look at the board-Do standing ollies without looking down. If you look down while rolling TOO MUCH, it messes up your brain while you move forward-You need to tell your brain that you want to go forward, NOT UP and DOWN!! 10. Buy protective gear-They give you sense of safety!..... Now go and ollie. Things that don't help: 1. "Commit"-If you are old you wanna go to work next day-Be safe and kick fear out safely-don't jump to your death 2. "Keep shoulders straight"-its the front foot, Every ollie clip I have seen by pros, they NEVER keep their shoulders straight..they even hold phones FFS... 3. "Don't practice on carpet"-Thats half true. If you practice on concrete without ever done a half-ass ollie before, you will die. Get the technique down-Moving to concrete is all about fear on instability and understanding pop (less effort on concrete). I actually ollie higher on carpet and that says a LOT about pop.4. "learn to ride"-I ride pretty fast and well, turning and kick turning, but I just learned ollies. This is like saying because you can drive to work with your car, you can also race an F1-NO!- Obviously you need to "drive" to ollie, but thats about it. It WONT give you extra help.
Hi Irmasil3, I am a year older than you and actually working on the Ollie for a few month now. Maybe you can help me out? Just as you said, I know I must slide my foot more, but I also have a problem with the weight distribution and that is my biggest problem. Do you jump forward - like somebody wrote in the comments earlier: jump forwards to where you predict to land with height. Or do you jump straigth up and do it all with your front foot?
a good practuce thing is starting 2 ride fast amd just pop your tail and comtinue riding and do that a few times thn add the foot slide .. thn add the kick out 2 straiten the board. just got my 1st ollie yesterday cause of these vids and a friends help ! so stoked!!!
"And then skating is more fun, and more fun, and more fun. Its fun from day one but the more tricks you can do, its even more fun." This sounds like a Donald Trump tweet lol Thats with love, Kyro!

Nice one for picking up skateboarding at 30. Have you kept it up?
Took me about 2months to learn ollie almost perfectly, so i guess its going to take another 2months to learn to ollie while moving :D Also i learned casper stall in 3hours, and landing a kickflip is very close !
Awesome!!! Keep progressing!
Well you see, my roads and streets ain't that smooth if I tried riding it, it stops after a second or two
+sirsenpai. I have the same problem, I live in a rural area where I only have my driveway (which is quite long) But it's not smooth at all. The only good area I have is my carport which is usually occupied and not level.
+TheLastBattalion yea....that kinda demotivates me
same 😓
you don't have skateparks?
*****
No. As I said, I live in a VERY rural area in the middle of nowhere. Even in the closest town/city there isn't one.
Aaron kyro.. the Mr. Rogers of skateboarding
+Noah Fekt lmfao I totally said this a year ago when I found his channel lol
Mike Pichardo haha! That's hilarious! XD
34 years old, and just got my first board - super excited :D The daily dog walk just got a whole lot more fun! (no leash involved...)

Wasnt Talking to you lol
I'm 44 years old just learned to ollie standing on my board in the garage. I am really excited to learn to pop up curbs. I skated ramps and just down the road hill bombing for years. I almost can't believe I've been able to progress. An old dog can learn new tricks
Man i swear you good af. You make my heart beat 💪🏾
Bro what
Funny is that I can't do ollies standing still anymore hahah
+LostHanded pls do not stop trying
Me 2 brah
Do a game of skate on a sandbag
I spent two years on the riding step bombing hills all the time getting into tricks now!
8 months later, can Ollie alright stationary 😂
One week later, I can Ollie 3/10 times perfect with level and everything,. Working on moving ollies now 🥺
How to ollie while riding.
Step 1. Ride around
Step 2. Do an ollie
I always mess it up at part 2.
That's a joke I can ollie. But not rly... High :l
Hey man, how you doing with the ollies now?
exatcly
Same question
Ollie: *hard*
Riding: *EZ*
Both: *D E C E N D E N T*
Damn, Cali has some smooth-ass roads. Michigan roads are full of big bumps, cracks, and potholes...
cali privilege
I swear this is a meditation video than a skateboarding tutorial
Almost fell asleep lmao
5:45 is a fantastic explanation with great super slow motion !! Really helpful seeing what’s really supposed to be going on to get a great Ollie
This was the best tutorial ever now I know how to do a Ollie thanks and that is the best thing I have ever seen😄😄😄😄and keep making more videos thank you😊😊😊😁😁😁😁
whats the easiest way to turn your front foot forward while riding?
ball of your foot, think like your walking. you move your feet to wear you want to go, do the same with the board, it will come to you over time
practice shifting your feet on the board while in grass
ROTTEN FACE ZOMBIE turn your front foot forward
You can start with the rear foot more over the trucks than the tail if it helps you shift the front foot but after a while you should be able to adjust with the rear foot on the tail too. Remember to not lean backwards over the tail; keep your weight centred over and forwards (in the direction of movement) even if you're unweighting the front foot for either a kick turn or popping. Practise this a lot and it just gets easier to pivot without putting too much pressure/friction on the front foot. Repeat by doing it switch, remembering to keep your rear leg fairly straight and your weight forwards, not over the tail.

omfg, when i'm depressed i check your vides, and it makes me feel so much better, ty for all :D
you aint just sponsored, you're PRO AARON
What if hes not pro anymore jk lol
+Corelachew I think he said that he changed it from "Pro" to "Sponsored" because kids were getting their panties in a knot over the fact that they don't think he's a "real" pro (which is complete bullshit of course, Aaron's got his name on a board - he's pro).

Radio Personal* AYYY! THIS IS CALLER 99!! MAY ASK WHO'S SPEAKING!!!?
Aaron* "Hi my name is Aaron Kyro I'm a sponsored skateboarder from the San Fransisco Bay Area "
One of the best skating tutorials of all time 🧠🧐💪🏾📈🛹
The riding around with your board to get comfortable is very important, I was getting really better with my skateboard just because of this one tip Aaron mentioned. Unfortunately I got busy for a few years and now I have to ride around to feel comfortable again. Only challenge is I'm in Vancouver which is always raining and now its snowing XD
Does anyone know a good place to skate around in Vancouver or MetroVan while snowing?
Yo parking garages. Gotta make due in Boston also
NOTICE::: when you ride your pops are allot "poppier" or they pop higher or easier how ever you want to say so when you practice Ollie-ing while rolling take that in consideration while practicing (like for more people to see it'll help them allot)
It’s been 4 years and only 12 liked. Lol

Hey, I can totally ride my board any where and I can Ollie really good on a crack but I can't bring my self to pop the board while riding
Great info. Getting back into skating after many many years. Old school skater from the 80s, refreshing my rusty skills. Maintain focus on obstacle. Great pointer.
I can Ollie and Ollie while riding but I just need to get more consistent.
It WONT give you extra help.
irmasil3 very true I found out that doing Ollie’s on a carpet is very easy and a very good way to practice it
Hi Irmasil3, I am a year older than you and actually working on the Ollie for a few month now.
Its fun from day one but the more tricks you can do, its even more fun."
This sounds like a Donald Trump tweet lol
Thats with love, Kyro!
Haha! Ikr! “Tweety-boy”

Once I started to try to ollie onto a curb is when the whole front foot kick motion clicked in my brain.
When Aaron gets pulled over by a cop he’s gonna say hi my name is Aaron Kyro and I’m a professional skateboarder from the San Francisco Bay Area
Awesome man, i skated for 7 years when i was younger and now im 28 and feel i need to learn everything again, i love this channel and its helping me get back to being “me”.... thanks heaps man, much love from Australia 🇦🇺
I've been practicing OIlle for a year, but I still can't! Someone tell me there is a video of my Ali on my RUclips... Please, I want to do it too! I've been practicing for more than four hours a day, but I still can't
Send me a skate support
Might as well seperate every step of every trick into more videos right?
Wholesome, entertaining, informative. 10/10.
I live in Virginia so there is a lot of hills and there’s no going slow
Has Lance followed the SMS videos?
ultimaetsolder idk I wanna know too because I wanna know if it's worth buying sms
My friend learned how to Ollie and mike his board higher while in midair. He can Ollie over 12 boards and down 13 stairs. Good job Douglas!
How to get over fear of falling hard
Ties Booij y u so mean
Fall
Fall hard a few times. Use pads. If you are moving quickly, try to tuck and roll.
Wear protective gear and train the calve, hamstring and quad muscles first. Bigger muscles calms the brain down from irrational fear.
My street isn’t made out of concrete...
Gold mate. Your videos have helped me so much since I started skating two year ago at the age of 42. Basically every time I want to learn something new I check out to see if you have a tutorial. Always well explained. cheers dude.
I'm an Aaron sponsored skateboard from the San Fran-Kyro bay name
No
Underrated comment
great, you can go now
Yeah, i live on a village with ONE, straight road... That kinda sucks for Skateboarding.
It doesn’t matter what type of road you have smooth is the best, but it doesn’t reallly matter
I just landed my first ollie but I cant ollie while riding even I swipe my feet forward thats why I came here.
Any advice guys
Any advice guys

It’s been a year but just in case anyone else sees this comment try to jump forward so you can land on the karate board instead of just jumping up
I push mongo should I relearn how to push?
if you don't want to get made fun of I'd advise doing so

+Limepain i don't understand why people make fun of that.
+Sp0ck you look like an idiot (i started off pushing mango, but i look back and see how stupid i looked)
