I just started skateboarding at 40 years old, and I'm having a blast. Your tutorials and the "Skateboarding Made Simple" downloads have helped me SO MUCH! Thank you, especially, for creating a welcoming vibe for newbies.
I remember Tony Hawk going on Nickelodeon one day in the 90s and taught me how to do an Ollie with his hand motions and I learned right away with how easy he explained it and have been skating ever since. Love that this stuff exists. Reminds me of just that, same teaching style. I remember that so vividly to this day.
Aaron Should bring back the intro where he ollies over his name... love the channel and what you do. Also your Ted talk was great Aaron! First one I watched all the way through!
I absolutely love this trick! Here's a trick I learned when trying to pivot my board, My front foot would land on the edge of the board (The edges being the long sides of the board parallel to you while riding) which made it very difficult to land and roll away. I found that I could position my front foot towards the opposing edge when setting up, scooting my foot either more forward or back from where you are facing while riding the board. This helps your front foot land more in the center of the nose. I hope that helps!!!
Thank you for making these videos! 15 years ago i was the "learn the ollie and then straight to kickflip" person and now that i'm learning proper progression, your videos have helped me so much! Keep it up! I even got the SMS Vol. 1 and have never been more hyped about skateboarding!
Just received my new board today! Haven't skated in seven or eight years so I'm excited to see how it goes. Guess I'll pretty much be starting from scratch. Thanks for the great content as always and stay safe everybody :)
Thanks so much. Ever since quarantine I really wanted to learn how to skateboard because I’ve had one for 3 years. These videos really helped and I’ve been watching you guys for so long!!!

I LANDED MY FIRST FS 180 TODAY!!! came to this video a few days ago because i felt like i am pretty comfortable on my board now, seeing how i can now ollie up and down curbs started skating june 19 2019.
I started yesterday trying to land a fs 180 without watching a tutorial and i was skating 4 hours and did so much progress on my own and started to land 5 out of 10 fs 180 and felt so proud and now i just want to master the trick and im watching this video which is helping me a lot.
Thank you for your tutorials. Yesterday I found my old board that I Haden’t touched since Christmas of 2013. I was expecting to take months to learn even an Ollie but after watching your tutorial I learned how to Ollie in 40 minutes. Tomorrow I plan on trying this trick
For those who still can't do a FS 180, put your back foot not in the middle but more back. It will get your rotation of your board easyer and then you just have to go with your body. Hope it helped :)
Thanks for keeping up the content. Been watching your vids and it’s inspired me to skate again after 15 yrs off. I’m 37 now and my bones hurt but it feels great to be on a board again. 💪🏻
Hey guys. Just wanted to say I'm 35 and a big short dude. Been a big guy my whole life and was always intimidated to try skating. And my dog loves it too!
LOL thank you for the channel I’ve been watching for a few years I haven’t been able to do my front side 180 but after the last episode I did it first try and I want to mention that I have also been skating for four years
yo this helped me so much! i practiced pivoting off the nose in the same motion that i would be doing the 180. it helped me learn the motion so much better and got me to be way more comfortable with turning my body and my foot positioning on the board. right now i can only pop it half way but i will be back when i land it for the first time!
