    Thank you. I am glad I'm not the only show person... because I stopped selling because of all these settings.. I hope there are more videos that are all about settings on ebay. I want to be able combine shipping, make sure I'm not losing money on shipping. Just making sure everything is set right in seller hub. I haven't bought q store, I don't sell that much. 1,000 is the highest I went in a year. Hoping to do more... thank you both ... hugs

    Man am I glad I ran into this video. It is super helpful and informative. I haven't sold on Ebay in 15 years and am getting into it again and having to learn all the changes like USPS parcel post is now ground advantage and or shipping methods. When you mentioned that most buyers don't care which shipping carrier you use, they just want their item, I am probably the 1% exception of buyers to that as I don't get USPS mail or deliveries to my home in my rural state so I can only get shipments from Fed Ex or UPS. I had an item that I purchased from an Ebay seller who said it would go out Fed Ex and they changed over to USPS and it got sent back to them. But thank you so much for sharing your experience and knowledge, liked and subbed the channel to learn more.

    I just started selling items on eBay. I have to say this is more difficult than I was expecting. I've sold one item so far and it was a total nightmare. I wasn't prepared and ran to the post office. I didn't bring a box or tape because I thought I could get both there which I did but I was so confused as to which box to get. Also, I could not find the QR code to purchase on ebay to show the clerk, and i ended up paying for a printed shipping label. So I had to write the address on the box, and go back to the clerk only to find out my parcel was over 1lb so I had to pay $14.50 which was more than I had thought so total for the bubble wrap, box, thank you card and to send cost $20. I just felt so overwhelmed I never wanted to sell anything on eBay again. I still don't understand where the QR code was. I went on eBay chat and they told me where to look, but I still couldn't find it. So, now I'm panicking about the next sale. I did learn that USPS 1st class is a maximum 1lb which was so confusing as compared to USPS Parcel Select Ground max 70 lbs. 😮‍💨🤦🏻‍♀️

      Ground Advantage is the best option now for small items. Poly bags are the best to use with ground advantage. Easy and cheap.

      @@purplehearts3287 I've learned a lot Im good at it now which I bought a $10 scale off offer up and a measuring tape and started boxing the item and cutting the box down if there's unnecessary space and putting the dimensions bro at first I was losing money on shipping now I don't because I do that the exact amount they pay is what it costs me

    For calculated shipping do you need to round up to the nearest pound or do you use lbs and ounces? Example the item packaged weighs 2lbs 12oz, would I round up to 3lbs?

    I don't understand how I can compete with a reseller selling the same thing I'm selling, he offers free shipping with low price and I can't afford the low price and pay the shipping.

    When you say the weight during calculated shipping do you mean the weight of the box? Thank you

    My son is new to Ebay, and I noticed that he posted a item postage too low. What happens if you realized the shipping is wrong after a buyer bought your listing? Can we adjust the label or do I have to cancel the order and contact the buyer? Is it possible to pay the difference at the post office (USPS?) Thanks

    So can some people just put on flat shipping, decide the amount and be ok with covering the difference if there is any? can we just do that? So it would come out to buyer pays half shipping and seller pays half shipping.
    Thanks.

    the shipping calculator seems kind of useless..how do i calculate something for flat rate if i dont know the buyers zip code..I do like your videos though thnx for posting them 🤩

    • @FleaMarketFlipper
      @FleaMarketFlipper  Год назад +2

      we just use the zip code furthest away from us. Example, we are in Florida so we use a zip code in California to get an estimated cost for flat rate.
