- Close your eyes for just a second. Is that a dinosaur we hear? A turkey? A baby baboon? No, it’s all Dee Bradley Baker, a voice actor known for Hollywood’s monsters, creatures and animals. You may have enjoyed his vocal stylings as Perry the Platypus on “Phineas and Ferb,” Klaus the Fish on “American Dad” or Daffy Duck on “Space Jam.” Or maybe you’re a fan of Squidward’s arch-rival Squilliam Fancyson on “Spongebob Squarepants.” We could go on and on. Baker invites us into the recording studio to watch him at work. Wait ‘til you see how he uses his nose.

He didn’t even mention that he’s EVERY CLONE TROOPER from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars: Rebels and Star Wars: Battlefront 2
Oh crap I hear it now
Morrison is the real actor behind the masks
@@elmerjfapp5730 Not from The Clone Wars.
Elmer J Fapp yeah but Baker is the one who gave each clone their own feel. He made the clones more than just expendables.
Where I know him from.
Voice actors are consistently among the weirdest of all actors.....I like that
well, when you gotta do so many roles...
You underestimate actors hahaha
@@nekotori7043 those are my favourite voice actors
I feel their work Is extra hard because they only hace their voice to convince you
My number one dream job. Not just because I can replicate cartoon voices ( Just check my video when I was in Walt Disney World ) but because I sometimes come up with my own voices too. 😊
This man played a large part in my childhood and adolescence and I never even knew about him until now
Same dude, same!
I CONSTANTLY saw his name all over every show I watched and now I know what his face looks like
How About Part 2
Dee Bradley Baker: I voice monsters
Every clone: maybe I am a monster
Ikr xD
In order 66
Good soldiers follow orders
Fuck! I read that in their voice.. haha
Better than storm troopers
I love people in the comments saying, “Are we just gonna ignore the fact he played so-and-so in such-and-such?!?!” When he literally voiced everything. It be ridiculous to mention them all. He’s a legend.
A legend indeed. I can only wish to have a fraction of that love and passion for what I do for a living. Just wish I could find that to do so I don't have to work for a day the rest of my life. 💖
Ok but in their defense, he was a man of a thousand voice for the clones in Star Wars
Yep, he's literally THE most prolific voice actor of all time. There's not a single voice actor with more voice credits than Dee Bradley Baker
@@RockOrgan He's also voiced several other characters too in the shows, such as Bossk and many of the Geonosians too, I believe.
You're absolutely right, Dylan, but at the same time, you just can't talk about Dee Bradley Baker without talking about Star Wars. He's done a lot of little stuff and a lot of major stuff over the years, but Star Wars is *one of the most major* things there is, lol. How can you not even at least mention that in a 3 minute video? He literally voiced all the clones in Rebels, The Clone Wars and the new Battlefront 2 game. Those shows and that game are some of the biggest Star Wars properties that have come out in recent years, especially The Clone Wars, with how so many from all over love it to death, including myself, haha. ;)
Well if it isnt my old nemesis, Perry the platypus
I literally heard doofenshmirtz voice reading that😂
CURSE YOU PERRY THE PLATYPUUUUUUUUUS!
Human Perry the Platypus!?!
We meet again Doof.
Didn't Know That Dee Bradley Baker Voiced Perry..
he didn’t mention it here but he also did appa and momo from avatar!! they’re some of my favorite characters he did :’)
honeypeach Omg he’s a hero
he's holding a plush tho!!!
Mia S - he is! I just meant they didn’t actually talk about it (also I would do anything to get that plush it’s so cute)
I was gonna say, where is the mention of Appa and Momo, it's where I learnt his name because "Dee Bradley Baker" was so weird, and whenever I see him in credits or something I get hella excited.
*o* *m* *g*
Most VAs: I took a lot of classes, theater, acting etc.
DBB: Yo, check out these ants.
DBB also did theater....
@@Butterflier00 hes trying to make a joke
@@frozennbutter6425it fell flat and it wasn't funny
Don’t forget, he voiced every clone in the clone wars and rebels
And Bossk I believe!
@@StrivedeLaLear yup.
And butchered the accent
How the hell did he voice over a million clones?!?!?!
He's voiced basically every clone in star wars games shows and movies
Voiceover actors have the best of both worlds most of the time. They act on famous shows and they can go grocery shopping without getting mauled by fans.
Plus they get paid a lot as well. It's the dream!
what worlds?
@@kevin084life HAHAHAHAHA that's a good one. Most don't get paid squat. Only the ones that are booking regularly get paid a lot
@@kevin084lifeonly the good ones do tbh, rest of them barely make that much
I wonder if this guy just talks to himself in various cartoon character's voices when he's alone lol
He played every Clone in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, they literally paid him to talk to himself 😂
I bet he does!
That would probably honestly be entertaining
i mean.. wouldn't you?
It’s what I would do
I can see this guy having alot of fun with prank calls.
Yes
L0ST S0UL I wish Olmec would prank call me
As various clones
DEE BRADLEY BAKER FINALLY GETTING SOME RECOGNITIONS
He also did Appa and Momo from Avatar
and the clone troopers
Absolutely agree! Awesome guy, big fan of his :D
Lester Koh and the German guy who likes cheese burgers in code named kid next door.
He's every clone Trooper in the clone wars
And the gravemind from halo
I recognised his voice straight away as some of the spongebob extras
Mason S I heard that too
Your avatar, no
BIG MEATY CLAWS
oh damn yeah fr
Is he the “MY LEG!” Guy?
Keep in mind this dude also voiced the Gravemind in Halo 2 and Halo 3, it almost sounds like he does two voices at the same time when he did the voice lines.
I'm disappointed that more people don't mention the gravemind
Finally, I searched for this comment! Aye, such shame, his voice really brought to life the interstellar horror that was Gravemind.
@@farisanwari777 I searched for this comment too! I’m actually practicing my grave mind impression and I’m getting pretty good. Not as awesome as him though. I’m making my own grave mind lines for a halo story I’m starting
THERE WE GO! YOU SIR ARE THE ONE I NEEDED
He does two voices at once with the gravemind. I’ve seen some raw recording footage when he was working on Halo 2 and he somehow does the deep voice and this weird higher harmonised voice at the same time. Then the flood sounds he does are added in over his voice and it creates that brilliant gravemind sound. He’s incredibly good
*Tara Strong:* _I have some of the best and the most unique voices for your childhood..._
*Me, as an intellectual:* [platypus noises intensifies]
She has done a lot if characters though. Man it seems like there are only a handful of voices actors in the business with every other person having done a ton of notable cartoon characters. Maybe I should give a crack at the voice acting business.
Hey, then go for it. Everyone’s gotta start somewhere, even if that somewhere just happens to be at home watching something awesome.
i like food yeah I noticed when he had the appa plush
He didn't even bring up my favorite voice of his: Numbuh 4
@@dcb99filmz Well, that's just a load of crud!
Just to know that this one man's voice has followed me through basically my entire life, through almost all of my favorite shows molding my humor into what it's today is completely outstanding. What an impact.

Him, Phil Lamar, and John DiMaggio could voice an entire movie by themselves, sound effects and all

I CANT BELIEVE HES KLAUS ON AMERICAN DAD, I LOVE THAT CHARACTER
If you've ever seen KnD, he's also Numbuh 4 and the Toilenator
Dude same and I think I just died and went to heaven.
And every clone trooper in clone wars

Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated...after hours
Are you the real KIM JONG UN?
Hi *t h i c c b o y k i m*
What a week!! What are the chances if me running into the real kurt Cobain, and now the real Kim Jong-un?
South Korea's best. 😒😒
I feel like this isn't even a third of the things he does.
He's also the clones from all of star wars shows and games
Your feeling is correct. Basically every time you hear a 'strange' creature in a movie or video game, you're hearing this guy's voice.
There's literally a whole seperate Wikipedia page for his filmography. This isn't even scraping the surface of his work lmao
Don't forget Frank Welker.
He's one of if not the number 1 prolific voice actors of all time. Some sources state over 2,200 voice roles, it's insane the amout of stuff he's done
"Look around. We're one in the same. Same heart, same blood. Your training is in your blood, and my bloods boiling for a fight."
When he did that perch perkins voice it filled me with so much joyful nostalgia
It just made me smile instantly
Where do I apply to become his next-door neighbor?

It will be interesting if he become a storyteller to kids 😆
He's a creepy nerd
Wtf
Borat. Sagdiyev you’re edgy
Im not tryna hear a damn dinosaur at 3am in the morning, being scared to death and than remembering i live next to him 😂
How does he make cringey faces non cringey?!
Because he is a real artist
Becuz he owns those cringy faces
(As in he doesn't look awkward or embarrassed when he's doing them...it looks natural)
@@zak3172 i agree
He's also not doing them entirely on purpose. It helps him get into the persona and he probably does those faces every single time regardless if anyone is watching.
Lets be honest, how can you make sounds like that with a normal face.
You can't...
Hard to believe this guy voices the Charger in L4D2. I know he does the Spitter and Jockey as well, but those vocals still sound very human; the Charger vocals sound monstrous and inhuman. Such a talent.
He also did atlas and p-body in portal 2
I saw he had the plushie but can't believe he didn't mention it - but this man is Appa and Momo in Avatar! Probably his most iconic characters! (and Naga, Pabu, and Tarrlock in Korra)
Hes also secret tunnel guy
What plushie. PERRY

Dee Bradley Baker is officially my hero. He's so amazingly talented in animal voice-acting, and now an amateur entomologist! Literally one of the coolest guys in the world.
Absolutely incredible range and skill showcased here. This man is a treasure to the voice acting industry, and a lot of peoples’ hearts. Very cool video.
He reminds me of Frank Welker, when he did a lot of voices, before Dee Bradley Baker. Also, I liked his voices as Captain Rex, clone troopers, Perry the platypus, Daffy Duck, and other characters.
Numbuh 4 of the KND
@@Churro_Flaminguez don't forget he's Fred Jones!
Someone employ this man as their vocalist in a death metal band!!

He also plays the clone troopers from Star wars the clone wars and he plays the Gravemind from Halo.
finally someone who knew about the clone troopers!
Manuel Moreno, I was looking for this comment!
Ahh halo the center piece to my childhood
Finally! Recognition for the grave mind!
Also variks from destiny
One of the voice actors I have the most respect for. Man was a huge part of the shows I watched growing up and is super talented.
It's crazy how this guy's not only any animal, but also a talking goldfish, a whole stormtrooper army, an Australian kid who's a spy, a villain who worries about constipation, and a platypus who's a secret agent.
And Halo's Gravemind
And almost every monster/animal noise in Hollywood movies. Its insane the sheer amount of voices he's done. It's well over 2,000
He also was in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and played Rex and the other clones.
Every* clone lol
Actually, all the clones
Dam good VA, one of the best! Hope to do some VA work in the near future. People like him are always an inspiration.
Y’all remember the DNAliens from Ben 10? He did all those and a lot of the aliens voices too.
Yes alot of people in Ben 10
Besides like a whole bunch,he's also voiced Ben's aliens XD
You can clearly hear Lonestar
You can clearly hear his normal voice when Ben turns into Water Hazard and Lode Star
Two things:
1. OLMEC IS FOREVER
2. This guy truly is a master of his craft.
Such an underrated Hollywood star. You can tell he loves what he does. Hopefully he get more recognition for his talent!
From doing Perry the platypus everyone's favorite animal
To taking muggies of insects
How the times have changed
2:55 is that a star wars the clone wars poster!
There's a Captain Rex helmet on the shelf to the upper right too!
Yep because he voiced every clones in the clone wars
@Sam Robinson wow, do you think he also voiced commander cody?
He must have very special feelings for voice-acting every clone in Star Wars. Amazing characters with such an incredible arc development. Captain Rex, Fives, Echo, 99, Jesse, The Bad Batch, Cody, etc.
Dee Bradley Baker, what a legend!
That's cool, used to watch Legends of the Hidden Temple.
Now I understand why he voiced so many of Ben 10's aliens. He knows how to make so many animal voices while also sounding otherworldly

I can do it

Next to Anthony Bourdain (R.I.P.), this guy has the best job ever. He has his own pimped out studio filled with replicas of creatures he’s voiced, gets to work from home (which looks lovely), the guy is living the American dream. I didn’t even know about him before, but from what I’ve seen, Dee Bradley Baker is the GOAT
"Help mee!!!" - "I'll get you my pretty..." wa my favorite part :'D

I just found out he's the voice of the Clone Troopers in Bad Batch. He deserves an award. He is so so good!
He's the clone troopers in pretty much all the animated Star Wars shows :)

With his marvelous portrayal of all the clones in The Clone Wars (and Rebels), this man has made me cry more than ANY other actor EVER. I've known Dee's name and some of his roles for years and years, but never realized until this year just HOW much I've heard him over the course of my life.
