Just got home from seeing Avengers Endgame.
Commercial for new Star Wars movie..found it odd when screen went black for a few seconds..and you heard Mark Hamill laughing (almost) his Joker laugh! Very weird.

I don’t know if any one else has said but I love the way this video is done.. it’s not just ‘here’s the voice actors do one voice, one time’ it’s a small background on them and the voices. The voices are actually done a few times too and it’s wonderful!

I know who Tara Strong is. I know many of the voices she plays. There's still a huge disconnect watching her perform those voices. It's like watching someone lip sync. It's completely astounding.

Phil Lamarr is amazing definitely one of the voice actors I look up too as my favourite voice actor of which there is not really many? as I dont know alot of voice actors, main reason being because he voiced some of the characters in shows I watched alot of as a kid especially Samurai Jack is my favourite and Static shock

That was like my favorite for so long and it's crazy cuz anyone I ask has no idea what I'm talking about like almost if it's fake and I'm the only one who has even seen the show, making me think maybe I made it up while I was in the mental hospital while I was a kid but not anymore!!! That's the most humble thing I've ever heard a performer say. A lot of the time actors are praised way more than they actually are (in my opinion), but its good to hear the fame doesn't go to this actor's head.
Voice acting is amazing. Rob Paulsen is a childhood hero of mine (as is everyone on here).
Luke Abbott no. He’s legitimately and consistently humble. Most VO actors are. Look up Frank Welker. Possibly the greatest VO artist of modern times no offense to the incredible Mel Blanc. But Rob is usually so deferential to fans love of the characters. Truly an amazing and inspiring human being

Jack Stevens It's not about race, it's that Japan, as a country, is simply much more committed to the art of voice acting. No other country has that dedication to the field.

Idk, I thought most of them matched. But the Mortal Kombat guy did NOT look AT ALL like what I would appropriate to that voice... My first impression, he somehow reminded me a little of Stanley from A Troll In Central Park. Very kind. NOT AT ALL like the voice he does!

When you're as multi-faceted as Tara, I can't imagine any of her friends *not* constantly begging her to speak in voices.
I do voices myself, but I can only imagine her level of being persuaded to speak in them.

Also yes, the most insane part about voice acting is that no one knows what you look like, and it's a wild reveal to see who voices our beloved characters, especially when you create an image of what they might look like. It's crazy!

Met Tara Strong in person while I was doing security for Comicon, very sweet and cute. Short as hell too lol. She has a shit ton of fans. I’m a big fan of her in Ben 10, Fairly Odd Parents, teen titans, and of course Harley Quinn. She also gets a lot of weird fans (example a 40 year old man dressed as My Little Pony) and she has awesome patience and respectable qualities to handle some of her “biggest fans” lol.
She has so many acting gigs. I love that she does Harley and Raven (yes, Teen Titans Go Raven is still good as her character)...

Awesomeness Dom I thought they just hired child actors for cartoons. As a kid didn’t really think much about it I just liked watching the shows. I recently learned who plays the voice of sponge bob which is just mind blowing.
@@meakofx6071 it's not a great idea to hire kids as voice actors for the simple reason that their voices change a lot during a short space of time. With a fully grown woman, their voice is likely to stay very similar in five years time to how it is now, so it allows them to keep it the same a lot easier over several years of recording.

I mean really, just imagine how many times he messed up before he got it right and now he can sing it no problem. Neat to see voice actors getting some love! It's a truly hard, but fun, job bringing pictures to life with your voice. One that I don't think people get enough credit for - a good voice actor and a bad voice actor are the difference between heaven and hell, they *will* make or break a character, probably more than any other single thing in the show. Even horrible writing can be made up for with a truly amazing voice actor, and even truly incredible writing can be ruined by a bad voice actor - same goes for animation, art, or sound design!

This probably gets overlooked but I appreciate the editing and directing of this documentary. Especially at 7:00 where the televisions are accompanied by background movement and food being taken. Great artwork 🤌
