Jess Harnell. Not only can he voice act, the man can SING! Listen to his band Rock Sugar if you don't believe me. Grey Delisle. Love her work as Vicky and Azula!
Patrick Warburton was the PERFECT Cast to do the voice of Kronk and I couldn’t think of anyone to do the voice of that Character from Emperor’s New Groove
He also voiced other cartoon characters Darkwing Duck,Pete,Both Winnie the Pooh and Tigger and he also voiced two Looney Tunes characters Yosemite Sam and Taz.
also Steven Blum. he may not be amongst the childhood animation VAs but his voice is so iconic and memorable that its almost impossible to notice his VA. i mean his most recent VA was as Mephisto in diablo 4 and his voice his so menacing naturally. also johnny yung bosch. and yuri lowenthal
I agree with you. So how come June Foray didn't even make it into the Honorable Mentions??? P.S. Ms. Mojo, I enjoyed most of the video, but when I saw your shameful neglect of the one and only Ms. Foray, I "unliked" this piece and removed it from my "Saved" list.
Robin Williams was more than just a legendary voice actor - he was a great actor and legendary comedian that could hardly ever be held back on stage. While he definitely could pull off a serious role or serious moments (bits of Dead Poets Society Mrs. Doubtfire, and the whole of Insomnia), everything from Mork & Mindy to Popeye to ... well, you called it, Aladdin, have us in stitches and in awe of his comic wit! Few comedians hold a candle to his legacy!
@@spaceghostnowthat was definitely an amazing film and just shows how absolutely diverse he could be in his role and proves how amazing of an actor he was and will always continue to have us love him long after his passing ❤
Spot on! And speaking of his serious, emotional roles, don't forget Good Will Hunting. Absolutely fantastic there. Amazing talent. At #4, I was wondering how anyone could top Mel Blanc, but I have no qualms with Robin Williams at #1 here, even with some very stiff competition (where Tom Hanks & John Goodman didn't even make honorable mentions).
@@wordforger I mean, his voice is just...I don't know, the very moment you hear it, you think: This guy's a hugger. It's deep, yet smooth and has a loveable quality to it, which is amplified when you know it's him because let's face it Patrick Warburton IS a loveable guy.
Well yes, his voice is distinct, but that doesn’t make him a voice “actor”. If he does the same voice, then is just “hey kids, look! Patrick Warburton!!”
The Emperor's New Groove is one of my favorite movies of all time, and much of that is due to the voice cast. Eartha Kitt, Patrick Warburton, John Goodman, David Spade... what a lineup! Add to that a hilariously brilliant script, and you have one of the funiest, most underrated animated films of all time. It should be a classic, but it hardly gets much attention outside of its diehard fans or voice acting enthusiasts. Speaking of voice acting, James Arnold Taylor should probably have gotten a shoutout on this list as well. Dude has a long list of impressive voice credits to his name. I was kind of surprised he didn't even get a mention here.
Every single voice in The Emperor’s New Groove was PERFECT!! Eartha Kitt, John Goodman, David Spade, Patrick Warburton, Wendie Malick, whoever played the two kids even the little old man who said it wouldn’t be the first time he was thrown from a window!! PERFECT!!
The late John Fiedler voiced the old man, and was also the voice of Piglet in nearly all Winnie the Pooh animations (most prominent role) and the porcupine in The Fox and the Hound. For those who love animation, whether its tv or movie, you eventually end up following the VA's (Voice Actors) from which series you really appreciate :)
also a super "Over the top" performance, but I guess they just wanted to list voice actors/actresses with wide ranges and even then they werent accurate to that
I am so happy you mention Buzz LightYear: Star Command. That is humongously underrated TV show. It's so hard to find most of the episodes nowadays. It's a nice nostalgic TV show of Buzzes past 🥳
I’m so surprised that Grey DeLisle wasn’t at least mentioned in this video. She’s been in so many childhood cartoons and she brings life to each and every one.
maybe because she's (to me atleast) primarily video games and they aren't the level of animation? I mean, there's no mention of Baldur's Gate when they did Jim Cummings... Mojo is so crazy that they make the Joker look completely sane... Putting Mel Blanc at Number 4...
@@edwardcollins8102 that could be possible, but she’s also I’m a ton of cartoons. From scooby doo to Danny phantom, avatar the last airbender, fairly odd parents, the Grimm adventures of Billy And Mandy and those are only the ones I can think of off the top of my head
How did Maurice LaMarche not make this list? Movies, television, video games.. Hundreds of credits from Animainiacs to Best Fiends to Zootopia, he is an exceptionally talented voice actor.
Maybe because they have finite space in the video. And it wasn't a list of people who have the most credits. Edit: they may could have left out Dwayne Johnson and put someone else in, I like him but I wouldn't say it was exceptional.
Grey DesLisle deserves a mention at the very least. She’s one of those actors who WAS our childhood from Foster’s Home, Danny Phantom, Scooby-Doo, Grimm Adventures of Billy and Mandy, The Fairly OddParents, and SO MANY MORE! But if we’re just talking “over the top characters,” she takes the cake with Azula. That was one dangerous 14-year old who easily made men in the ATLA universe shake in their boots! Zuko and Iroh would’ve rather been killed by the Earth Kingdom than turned over to her. And who can forget the line where she’s “about to celebrate becoming an only child!” 🔥
How on EARTH is Mel Blanc *not* #1??? (Side note: I've met and spoken to Rob Paulsen a few times, and he's truly one of the nicest people I've ever met. He's also SCARY talented)
Hamill is without a doubt THE definitive Joker. I especially loved his portrayal in the Batman Arkham game series. I don't think anyone else could have brought that blend of comedy, madness and menace to the role. Now that he's apparently retiring from the role, that's going to be some awfully big shoes to fill.
He said at one point years ago that there was no need to ask him to voice the Joker when Kevin Conroy (RIP) was voicing Batman he would always be in. So it may be that without Kevin being Batman he doesn't feel the need as the 2 actors did play off of each other in the recording booths.
Gul Dukat from Deep Space Nine has my vote for best villain voice. I think Alan Rickman, Morgan Freeman, and Meryl Streep would be on the list. I'm struggling to think of people who are famous for having good speaking voices that don't have a lower register.
I swear, the animators took a look at Eartha Kitt and her energy and just made a caricature of her for Isthma. Such a good character, it's hard to ever truly dislike her.
@@emtpet, I think she took over the role from Julie Newmar, so while she wasn't the "original" 1960's live action Catwoman, she was definitely a memorable version of the character.
I was shocked not to see Clancy Brown on this list. Mr. Krabs (Spongebob), Lex Luthor (multiple shows), Savage Oppress (Clone Wars), and Hades (God of War 3), just to name a few. He’s got an instantly recognizable voice, and he shows up everywhere.
While I absolutely agree he's a good voice actor, this was about over the top ones, and I wouldn't consider his roles to ever be wacky, zany, outright insane, or anything else that'd put him over the top.
These voice acting performances may be over the top but that's what makes them so legendary, Because it's proof that these voice actors put their heart and soul into their performances that shows just how dedicated they are and how amazing they are at what they do!!!
Honestly, for animated works, if you don't go at least a little over-the-top then it doesn't seem appropriate. It's one of the reasons I like the Japanese voices for anime. They tend to get a much better read on the characterization of the voices for the characters they portray. Also because the language barrier helps to mitigate some of the awkward feelings that arise from some of the cheesier lines.
“Gilbert Godfried …even if his name doesn’t ring a bell…” what does she mean? Who TF doesn’t know who he is? He had a huge career in comedy and his voice is distinct AF
That blew my mind considering that some of them are strictly voice actors that most people never saw in other work. Like their number one choice of RW, GG is visually known, with a distinct voice. From this list, Mel Blanc gets my top honors. He pioneered the modern multi-voice job.
Jim Cummings, Tara Strong, and Rob Paulson are all such talented voice artists with such varied roles to their names, it's how the managed to such distinct life and personality to so many of our childhood favorites.
I'm so glad you added Tim Curry to this, he gave me nightmares when I saw the original It movie when I was a kid, but I got to love him in ferngully and the more of his work I saw, the more I just loved his voice, his vocals and his style. He's basically the british Jack Nicholson; being someone who can be extremely creepy, but at the same time so suave and charming it's irresistable.
Mark Hamil Voice acting is amazing and I love how he goes all out with his character like Joker, Hob Goblin, Fire lord Ozai and Skips from Regular show. Mark is my personal favorite. However my overall favorite voice actor is Tara Strong. Tara Strong is my childhood favorite voice actor and has voiced my absolute favorite characters.
June Foray deserves at least an honorable mention here. She voiced many characters including Rocky the Flying Squirrel, Chatty Cathy, and her evil Twilight Zone doppelgänger Talky Tina.
I've read a lot of comments and none have mentioned Phil Hartman. Like Patrick Warburton, his voices were all the same but always perfect. And justice for The Simpsons cast!
If I ever get to see Robin Williams in the next life I would love to tell him how much of a difference he made to the world. All versions of him on the big screen are amazing, he was a lot of peoples childhood. and also when he died it started conversations, conversations about how happy people suffer from depression too. His death was very hard on many of us and it got people talking about mental health and how to help people before they hit rock bottom. We will never stop loving you Robin
the character that I recognize Kristen Schaal's voice is Barb from Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2! So much nostalgia! The other character that I do recognize is Mabel Pines from Gravity Falls (didn't watch this show too long). No other characters that I know of with her voice
Glad you got Tim Curry in here. That guy has so much range. My two favourite roles of his were Darkness from Legend (1985) and Dr Frank-n-furter from Rocky Horror.
Let's not forget that Rob Paulson also voiced Bobble in the TinkerBell movies. Also, here's some other great mentions: Mae Whitman (TinkerBell, Amity Blight, 2012 TMNT's April O' Neil, Katara, etc). Rachel MacFarlane (Some female Family Guy characters, Odalia Blight, Eris, Hayley Smith, etc). Grey DeLisle (Vicky, Lola Loud, Daphne Blake, Moon Butterfly, etc).
I’m sad nobody mentioned Jess Harnell. He’s Wakko in the Animaniacs and Ironside in Transformers. My favorite is Wooten from Adventures in Odyssey. But when he sings, oh my gosh the impressions he can do!!
Have you seen the episode in Emperor's New School where Kronk has to attend court day as a witness? I never thought court days/hearings/trials could be so hillarious 😂
Keith David is one of my favorites. He has done so many great characters, including Spawn, Goliath from Gargoyles, Dr. Facilier from Disney's Princess and The Frog, the President of the United States in Rick and Morty, and the voice behind the Navy commercials, to name a few. I've been a fan of his my entire childhood. Loved him as an actor in the films They Live and Men At Work.
My 21 year old son had never seen Aladdin...until a couple of weeks ago. We watched it and I was blown away, again, by all the impressions he did in the movie (including actors/comedians my son has never heard of). His performance as the Genie was epic.
for Dee, his role as Olmec from legends totally threw me off freaking guard. he could also pull of announcing very well. he actually announced a few game shows.
The thong to note about Frank Welker and doing say the voice of Soundwave from Transformers G1, he used Dr. Claws voice from Inspector Gadget and they used a vocoder to get it the elevtromic efftect. If you ever watch some of the old episodes, they forgot to put his voice through the vocoder.
E.G. Daily should have had a place on the list as well. She voiced Tommy Pickles in the original Rugrats series, all the Rugrats movies, and I think she still voices him in the Rugrats reboot series. If you don't know what she looks like then check out the movie Pee Wee's Big Adventure. She plays Pee Wee's girlfriend.
Cree Summer deserved an actual place more than an honorable mention imo. Kath Soucie got neglected on here, too, as the voice actress for Phil AND Lil in Rugrats plus her characters in Tiny Toons and various other 90s shows. If we're doing one-offs, Jaleel White as Sonic the Hedgehog from the various Sonic series. Someone else mentioned Peter Cullen and there's zero mention of Tony Jay, one of the most iconic villainous voices EVER from Reboot's Megabyte to the Elder God in the Legacy of Cain and Soul Reaver series of games; plus he was the asylum owner in Beauty and the Beast.
God knows I absolutely love Robin Williams (R.I.P.) But if I have to be honest, I'm having a very hard time picking between his performance as Ginie and Eartha Kitt (R.I.P.)'s performance as Yzma as my favorite from this list. It's seriously hard. But one thing I can say is that I'll never ever forget how much and how hard I laughed throughout all of Emperor's New Groove the second time I watched it on the same day. Back in the day when Disney Channel was made available in Latin America I remember my sibling and I caught the already started movie on tv and we liked it so much that we wanted to record it on videotape. So we waited late that night till it was being transmitted again and we basically laughed the whole movie through! I don't know how was it possible that we laughed that much the second time we watched that movie but our stomachs hurt so much from all that laughter. We even had to contain the laughs most of the time as to not wake up our parents. I'll never forget that night😂
FRANK WELKER!!! ALWAYS FRANK WELKER!!! I will say his name forever until everyone knows it because he is a part of everyone's childhood to at least some degree and I love him!!! I got far too excited when you mentioned him!!!!!!!
It has always been my goal to try and match the Genie's impressions and jokes in Aladdin. i did the same thing with James Woods' Hades from Hercules, but King Williams is at another level, and it is SOOO hard to emulate him! 30 years of trying, and I still haven't got it all... RIP Robin! I wish all had a friend like you!
Even to this day, I sorely miss Robin Williams! I'm just SOOOOOO grateful that I was alive to watch the fenominal work that he graced us all with!!!!! ❤❤❤😔😔😔😭😭😭 🥰🥰🥰
Tara Strong does such great voice acting for characters from my childhood including Timmy Turner from fairly Odd parents, and Raven from Teen Titans. Gilbert Gottfried was also the best to have ever played Iago from Aladdin RIP 🙏🏻😇 Tom Kenny voice of SpongeBob is also another one of my favorites!! Josh Gad Both Perfectly Brought the Voice of Olaf to life in Frozen and Bringing LeFou to Life in the Live Action Beauty And The Beast!! 💕🍻 Patrick Warburton Is also the King with his deep baritone voice for his characters like Kronk, Joe Swanson, and buzz Lightyear (though I still love Tim Allen as the true voice). And James Woods is like the master to bringing to life Hades the villain we all know and love to hate from Hercules as well. Jermey Irons Was best actor to have ever voiced Scar from another one of our favorite Disney Animated classics The Lion King!!👑 And Finally Robin Williams will NEVER be forgotten for one of mine and my Dad's favorite Roles that Robin has ever played in Cinema History The Genie From Aladdin RIP🙏🏻😇
How did the voice actors of The Simpsons get overlooked? Nancy Cartwright, Hank Azaria and Dan Castellaneta. Talk about people doing various characters throughout the show. Incredible what they can do!
I absolutely LOVE Patric Warburton's "Cronk" and James Wood's "Hades", but Alan Tudyk's voicing of the robot "Sonny" in the scifi movie "I, Robot" was breath taking.
You should have mention Dan Castenella; THE voice of Homer Simpson who also did a very good job in voicing Genie during the Aladdin series and second movie.
Yeah that’s very inaccurate list if you choose to leave out a body of culture inspired work like the Simpsons, the show has definitely earned some respect.
Another omission: Benedict Cumberbatch as the voice of SMAUG in The Hobbit! I know this list was primarily animated movies, but he did both the motion capture and incredible voice work for Smaug! "I know you're here... I can ssmmmeeellll you!"
Peter Cullen deserves to be on this list. He is the only person to ever play Optimus Prime and for good reason. He perfectly encapsulates a leader who is kind and compassionate. He is a soldier but despite being a transformer has never felt robotic or forced and he gave hope to so many gentle people to feel like they could be heroes too.
Honestly Patrick Warburton and Dee Bradley are the top two actors that are always apart of my childhood because I had heard them both as well as watched them as characters they are so iconic.
Mel Blanc was peerless, in an age that hadn't really even figured out voice acting, yet. Was it an acting role? Was it visual sound effects? James Earl Jones went through much the same thought, going uncredited as the voice of Vader in the first Star Wars movie because A) He didn't consider it more than sound effects, talking in a booth while B) there's a big irish guy _working_ in the suit, and Jones didn't wanna step on the toes of Prows(sp?), who was sweating under the stage lights (funny thing is the guy in the suit thought they were gonna add sound effects to _his_ voice, not replace his voice _entirely,_ *"THANKS,* _George!")_ Still, Mel Blanc still holds the all time greatest voice acting take for the "Rabbit Season/Duck Season" episode of Looney Tunes: Bugs doing an impression of Daffy Daffy doing an impression of Bugs _Both_ of them arguing back and forth Elmer Fudd is present, and Blanc plays him, too _He does it in _*_ONE TAKE!_* He also did the "BEY-oooooo-WHP" sound at the end of every cartoon
I would have ranked Mark Hamill higher than you did, but can't argue with your top five! And all twenty are a delight to hear. It's like meeting the ghostwriter of a celebrity book you really enjoyed: everyone knows the celebrity (Batman, the Genie, etc.) but can't put a name or face to the ghostwriter. Or in this case, the voice actor. Thanks for this collection of brilliance. All twenty richly deserve the honor of being on this list!
Alan Tudyk is and always be, a Legend in world of voice acting, Y'all forgot to add Alan's performance as the Joker and Clayface in the Harley Quinn series,
I would have had Mel Blanc at #1 just for the sheer versatility he possessed. No disrespect meant to Robin Williams, but he pretty much played the same character every time. There are many Warner Bros cartoons where Mel was the only voice actor used and played every character. Of course, this list was about over-the-top acting and I guess Robin does come out on top in that category, but much of his career was based on his over-the-top persona. Actually, I was more impressed by his acting as he managed to rein in that part of his personality.
Grey de Lisle needs to be added to the list. Her work is extensive, and most Nick fans will recognize her as the voice of Sam ("Danny Phantom") and most especially as Azula from Avatar the Last Airbender.
I sometimes wonder if Yzma wasn't Eartha Kitt's "dream roll". She played so many temptress and sultry parts that required her to be rather restrained. Her Catwoman was hands down the best of all the actresses that played that part, but was still limited in how "far out" she could go. Yzma allowed her to let loose and that's exactly what she did. And that is what made Yzma so lovable. She was insane and dangerous while being inept and harmless at the same time with a touch of vulnerability thrown in). No one could play that part except Eartha Kitt. P.S. I love the resemblance between Yzma and Eartha, even though Eartha is quite attractive while Yzma is "scary beyond all reason".
Loved this … would like to see more split screens … the actor on one side with the character on the other.. both speaking the part. These people are so talented, ❤
Julie Andrews I think should have been included somewhere…I mean I wouldn’t put her high on the list but she’s been doing a LOT of voice work over the years and deserves a nod
0:56 - "Baker was the voice of our childhoods whether we knew it or not." I don't know how this guy could have been "the voice of my childhood" when none of these shows existed when I was a child. Why do the people who write these things so frequently assume that EVERYBODY is the same age as they are?
I think one of the best moments in Aladdin is the opening with the trader. Apparently Williams was given a pile of stuff to entirely ad-lib and the producers just recorded it and animated it. Apparently the entire crew were in stitches and there was loads of audio not used that was just as funny. So many names and voices from my childhood, loved it.
other honourable mentions: John Dimaggio as Bender and Jake the dog Richard Steven Horvitz as Invader Zim John De Lancie as Discord Trey Parker and Matt Stone as various south park characters Grey Delisle/Griffin as Princess Azula, Vicki and other characters Alex Hirche as Bill cipher, Stan Pines, king and other characters
I'll give you Robin Williams for Genie's performance but for just quantity of voices it has to be Mel! He was doing characters on the radio as welll. He could do a 1000 voices! I do love Robin though because he was great in everything he did!
I feel like Tara Strong was done a disservice by the fact that there was no mention of her video game voice acting. She is Harley Quinn across Injustice, Multiversus, the Arkham series and the upcoming Suicide Squad game, and literally OWNS the role!
Another vote for the ever iconic Peter Cullen here. How you could miss him was beyond me, he's done so much besides Optimus Prime though I have to say, I *love* him as Optimus Prime!
Josh Gad Not only brought the voice of Olaf to Life in Frozen perfectly, But He also Portrayed as LeFou Fantastically In the Live Action Beauty and the Beast!! 💕😁👍🏻🍻 He brought actual Life and Depth to that character who was one-dimensional in the original, and He did an Awesome Job Bringing a Perfect Live Action version of LeFou to life who slowly realizes Gaston's true nature. If Disney ever brings LeFou to Life in Live Action one day at Disney World, I'd like for them to stay true to both the animated AND Josh Gad's version!!
Ben Schwartz Mae Whitman Kate Crown Billy West Tress MacNeille Tom Kenny Jim Cummings Eddie Deezen Patrick Warburton Brad Garret Alex Hirsch Kristen Schaal Kimiko Glenn Scott Manville Jessica DiCicco

I agree!!!
@aimeelarsen4349 I didn't know she had voiced all those characters
@@krystalirvine5171 oh yeah and there’s so many more that I didn’t mention here
Just for her role as Azula in ATLA alone she should be on this list.
Mel is the top of this list. He was the pinnacle of the art and made voice acting what it is.
Top 3 forsure!
Yes! Mel is number 1. I'd put Tress MacNeil as Number 2. The other can follow close behind.
Seriously. How did Eartha Kitt get higher than him?
@@mochs62512cause Yzma is one of the best characters ever.
How did Maurice LaMarche not make this list?
Movies, television, video games.. Hundreds of credits from Animainiacs to Best Fiends to Zootopia, he is an exceptionally talented voice actor.
or Sterling Holloway
He 100000% should have been #1. How can someone known as "the man of a thousand voices" not be #1 on a list that has to do with voice acting???
cuz its a trash list like everything Mojo puts out
How is Nancy Cartwright not on this list??? Absolute legend.
I think they need to do a part 2.
The Simpsons boy umm 🤔 Bart
Dan Castleanetta should have been up there too. No iconic Simpsons voice actors made it. Hank Azaria deserves some recognition as well
Agreed
YES!!! I was expecting Nancy Cartwright to show up in this list the entire time.
Honestly, i miss Mel Blanc- he was the King of Voices.
Yes, but June Foray was the Queen--and she didn't even get an Honorable Mention in this video.
I agree, but I will say that Alan Tudyk's Joker is pretty solid🙂
Now we need a list of just distinct voices, not just from animated stuff. Honorable mention: Vincent Price ❤
Once you hear her voice, you simply can't UNhear it.
I got to see her perform at Jazz Alley in Seattle back in the day...she was absolutely fabulous! And tiny!
1960’s original version of live action Cat Woman.
Isthma: " I will turn him into a flea, a tiny winy flea. Then put him a box and another box. Then SMASH him with a HAMMER!!!
I agree!
Hades voice actor by James Wood in movie and t.v. cartoons Hercules young Hercules I meant before he was adult.
I had no idea the Kurgen was Mr. Krabs. That's awesome.
While I absolutely agree he's a good voice actor, this was about over the top ones, and I wouldn't consider his roles to ever be wacky, zany, outright insane, or anything else that'd put him over the top.
@@solandras666 You’re absolutely right. I think I understood “over the top actors” in the title to mean “excellent and well-known”
I would love to see a Alex Tudyk & Patrick Warburton anything! They would kill together
All the voice actors for Disney villains like James Woods, Gilbert Gottfried, and Jeremy Irons were over the top and it was great
James Woods is basically talking to a person in Podcast😂👍🏼
Don’t forget Robin Williams
Don't forget Richard White as Gaston.
Completely agree! I'm not sure which role was freakiest, Forte the pipe organ or Hexxis.
RIP Robin and Gilbert. They brought two of the most iconic characters in Disney alive.
I had no idea Jim Cummings did Scar's singing lines. He NAILED Jeremy Iron's inflections and accent.
Alan Tudyk is amazing-his impression of Ed Wynn to do King Candy is amazing!
He is very talented. Steve the Pirate in Dodgeball was great. But he is awesome in Resident Alien.
Patrick Warburton was absolutely the best part of The Emperor’s New Groove!
Patrick has literally one voice he uses for every role he does. Just like John Ratzenberger.
O that is a huge claim, Love that movie!
pairing him with Eartha Kitt though... Yzma is a perfect foil to Kronk
Patrick Warburton also voiced Captain Flynn from the Skylander franchise!!! (Both games & the Netflix series)
June Foray deserves at least an honorable mention here. She voiced many characters including Rocky the Flying Squirrel, Chatty Cathy, and her evil Twilight Zone doppelgänger Talky Tina.
Mel Blanc was called the male June Foray. That's how esteemed she was.
Chatty Cathy ❤❤❤❤
Also, here's some other great mentions:
Mae Whitman (TinkerBell, Amity Blight, 2012 TMNT's April O' Neil, Katara, etc).
Rachel MacFarlane (Some female Family Guy characters, Odalia Blight, Eris, Hayley Smith, etc).
Grey DeLisle (Vicky, Lola Loud, Daphne Blake, Moon Butterfly, etc).
True. What's really shocking is that they left out half of the Simpsons cast and the South Park creators.
oooh yeah Grey Delisle definitely deserves to be on this list.
I’m sad nobody mentioned Jess Harnell. He’s Wakko in the Animaniacs and Ironside in Transformers. My favorite is Wooten from Adventures in Odyssey. But when he sings, oh my gosh the impressions he can do!!
Honestly surprised Kevin Conroy who has done a lot wasn't on here. Another iconic voice legend
not over the top , so he belongs on a different list. one of great voice acting.
Adam West, Neil Kaplan, Nolan North are other voice actors that are incredible.
So many amazing people who voice such amazing characters.
I’m so glad you mentioned Cree Summer. I don’t think she gets enough credit! ❤️
Patrick Warburton's voice always makes me smile
Have you seen the episode in Emperor's New School where Kronk has to attend court day as a witness? I never thought court days/hearings/trials could be so hillarious 😂
Patrick Warburton's way of voicing Kronk's witness statement changed the way I look at court hearings 😂
Keith David is great in everything he does, but he really killed it with Spawn! And mark hamill too with twitch!

My 21 year old son had never seen Aladdin...until a couple of weeks ago. We watched it and I was blown away, again, by all the impressions he did in the movie (including actors/comedians my son has never heard of). His performance as the Genie was epic.
Show him live action with WILL SMITH as Genie
for Dee, his role as Olmec from legends totally threw me off freaking guard. he could also pull of announcing very well. he actually announced a few game shows.
The late June Foray who voiced Rocky the Flying Squirrel, Granny from the Loony Tunes franchise, and others certainly deserves a mention.
I should also add Bill Scott, who voiced Bullwinkle, as well as Tom Slick, Dudley Do-Right, and a host of others.
Tony Jay also voiced Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame. And his singing!!! Unforgettable.
Tara Strong's voice is part of my childhood , she is amazing
She really is.
Nancy Cartwright was huge outside the Simpsons too, Chuckie Finster, and many other animated works too.
@@dirt-rules Rufus from Kim Possible!
Hank Azaria 100%!!!
Watch some clips of Hank and Dan on Conan, I couldn’t stop laughing, you’re welcome.
Got to show some love for Dan Castellaneta, Nancy Cartwright, Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer!!! Can’t believe none were mentioned.
I can't believe they failed to mention June Foray!
Man, I just realized how much I miss Robin Williams. RIP to all the great talents we have lost.
MOJO is great at making videos that showcase something without actually showcasing anything other than the narration.
Patrick Warburton as Brock Samson in Venture Brothers. You don't have to go any further.
Dee Bradley Baker at 20 is criminal. He has an iconic voice a long with extreme versatility
ABSOLUTELY!! I was shocked when she said his name first. Like, wth?!
James Earl Jones went through much the same thought, going uncredited as the voice of Vader in the first Star Wars movie because A) He didn't consider it more than sound effects, talking in a booth while B) there's a big irish guy _working_ in the suit, and Jones didn't wanna step on the toes of Prows(sp?), who was sweating under the stage lights (funny thing is the guy in the suit thought they were gonna add sound effects to _his_ voice, not replace his voice _entirely,_ *"THANKS,* _George!")_
Still, Mel Blanc still holds the all time greatest voice acting take for the "Rabbit Season/Duck Season" episode of Looney Tunes:
Bugs doing an impression of Daffy
Daffy doing an impression of Bugs
_Both_ of them arguing back and forth
Elmer Fudd is present, and Blanc plays him, too
_He does it in _*_ONE TAKE!_*
He also did the "BEY-oooooo-WHP" sound at the end of every cartoon
I would have ranked Mark Hamill higher than you did, but can't argue with your top five! And all twenty are a delight to hear. It's like meeting the ghostwriter of a celebrity book you really enjoyed: everyone knows the celebrity (Batman, the Genie, etc.) but can't put a name or face to the ghostwriter. Or in this case, the voice actor. Thanks for this collection of brilliance. All twenty richly deserve the honor of being on this list!
how is there no mention of billy west? not only did he take over the role of bugs bunny flawlessly, but he's practically the whole cast in futurama.
Alan Tudyk is and always be, a Legend in world of voice acting, Y'all forgot to add Alan's performance as the Joker and Clayface in the Harley Quinn series,
And wasn´t he as actor also in Firefly? The one who died?
@aquelejeito I never saw the firefly series, so I cannot say for sure
@@aquelejeito Yeah, though his character died in the movie of the series, Serenity, not the show.
All of them have THE voice to bring the characters to life
I would have had Mel Blanc at #1 just for the sheer versatility he possessed.
Jack Black is great with his live action roles too. Jumanji and School of Rock come to mind
I can't believe you included Gilbert Goffried (who is the exact same voice every time) and omitted about Paul Winchell !
I wish you would of mention John Razenberger because he did almost every Pixar and Disney movie
Mark Hamill retired Joker because he can't imagine playing the role without Kevin Conroy.
I love Seth McFarlane's singing voice!!! And no one will ever top Robin Williams and Mel Blanc!
Amen to that!
I know it's not technically a "voice acting" role, but Tim Curry's work in Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 is incredibly over-the-top xD
How come James Woods wasn't on the list? I know he's done other great roles, but Hades is so iconic.
other honourable mentions:
John Dimaggio as Bender and Jake the dog
Richard Steven Horvitz as Invader Zim
John De Lancie as Discord
Trey Parker and Matt Stone as various south park characters
Grey Delisle/Griffin as Princess Azula, Vicki and other characters
Alex Hirche as Bill cipher, Stan Pines, king and other characters
Don't forget: half of the Simpsons cast and Justin Roiland
How did Grey Griffin/DeLisle not make this list she is one of the best voice actors and is in almost everything 😮😮😮
She's probably the best female voice actor of all time, she does so much
Another video game she's in: Lollipop Chainsaw
😊
Actuallly, Dee Bradley Baker I only really know him for CN shows in the late 90's/early 00's so not the voice of my childhood!
