D. Lewis is one of the best actors in my heart! He was so professional that earned tremendous respects. His decision not to act is a huge loss in the film industry!
Last of the Mohicans was the most romantic movie I have seen in years and the music was phenomenal. I wish they would make more movies like that.
Sheridan really looks like the type who wouldn't understand a genius like Day-Lewis.
Day Lewis is a once in a lifetime Actor he is difficult and one off and if I was allowed to watch one film in my life it would be a Day Lewis film and I think actors who have a problem with him have recognized his brilliance and can’t compete with that . His last film the Phantom Thread is a masterclass in acting everyone should watch it .

One wonders what Mr Lewis thinks about the situation going on in England right now. These actors are so fond of preaching their gospel and correcting the audiences belief systems. Is he on board with Herr Starmer's policies or will he choose to lie low and protect his millions. One wonders indeed.

I think that DDL did the right thing by being ''difficult'' on sets. He would have been the one critics would have pointed their fingers at if the movies bombed.

I totally get it. Lewis didnt like the "plastic" and phony celebrity obsession with Hollywood now. It's even worse now. Overdose of the Red Carpet. It is too much. I dont know how Streep stomachs it.

One of the greats! Loved "Phantom Thread". His movies are consistently interesting, thought provoking, and real cinematic art. I miss him, like so many others who take their lives and craft seriously.

What a loss to the world. It's akin to the greatest band breaking up. Or if Michelangelo stopped painting the Sistine Chappel before halfway. Or the fastest runner stopping mid- way in an Olympic race etc etc..... imagine all the masterfully acted films we don't get to see now. Hollywood is brain dead & only churns out remake after remake, nothing original or great anymore. So many fascinating untold stories out there.
