not only did he have an assistance....but what person that would go grocery shopping would ever leave it neatly organized so it can be easy for the cashier to scan the code
Our company guideline is 34 items per minute* BUT we don't bag them ourselves (it's not really a thing in Europe) *And I'm only at 30 so far ;-; It'd be more if our fucking system actually recognised all the codes and we didn't have to look up a bunch of them manually, or if we didn't weight produce on the scanner :/
Just a couple of notes I picked up on though, that was a VERY staged scenario with items with very easy to scan barcodes, their bagging setup was made for this exact situation with a bagging slide for two people, at Wegmans our setups are designed for one person so having a bagger helps, but it's not as easy to just "slide" the items through like they do, we need to pick them up and pass them to our bagger, if we even have one, in addition to this, they had no produce or anything that requires input, nothing that needs to be separated like raw meat or chemicals, no alcohol, and I didn't see their bags, but I'm willing to bet it wasn't bagged well. When you watch them scan, they really aren't moving that fast, they just have so many advantages for that situation
My highest was 67 and I hit that today within 126 items of total (alone including bagging myself) No produce stuff though. But still I feel like me and my Meijer co-workers are way faster than them.
That's fucking hilarious When I worked at Walmart they measured our items per hour I guarantee there's a Walmart cashier out there that could blow this record up
I would beat their scans per minute. I'm Doing this with the Magellan 9800i without having any digimarc packages. But this scanner is very awesome. You can easily read multiple codes at once, something a old school scanner will never be able too. I hope i can find digimarc on European packages very soon :)
I think it should have been more items including produce and a few odd objects(misc keys). I agree. Nothing exciting about this Guinness. I work at The Market in Louisville Nebraska. If I'm working, expect a swift checkout and the customer service too! :)
Yikes, I work at a hannafords and I scan twice as fast on a regular basis. Plus, it's faster if he scans one hand to the other instead of grabbing one item in each hand and scanning them at the same time
Lol dude that aint fast o.O Im from germany and also a cashier this is just average... And our system is like 10 years old and old touchscreen panel and sometimes they just dont scan the item. This is really not fast
A staged world record attempt never does justice to the real thing. Put them in a store for 8 hours with the usual people buying usual things even the mother with her crying children who is taking a long time to gather her items and even the man who wants an item for way less than what you are allowed to give without supervisor approval and then measure their over all speed. This here really isn’t that incredible. When you get to the point, as a cashier in which you are moving as fast if not faster at the end of your shift than when you began, you know you are getting good at the job and learning to overcome the tiredness that comes with it.
I wonder if there is a record set by single cashiers bagging items themselves. If that were a thing I swear I'd try to make that. I get 20 items per minute while bagging simultaneously
Well... that was pretty... average lol. I thought it was going to be fast as hell.
😂 me too. I scan faster in the self check out.
Ikr lmao clickbaitt
Usain bolt
Yeah and all products were placed with the barcodes below. How does this count...
The workers at aldi’s be on
x games mode when the scam items
Clearly never been to ALDI
I know righttt!!!!
For real. I just started working at aldi's. It is a crazy fast pace
Factd
That feel when they think this is something special, but I have to do this everyday for 6 hours at this speed.
6? you lucky bastard
I do it faster. I mean way faster.
bullshit
me too 8 hours every day with returns and stupid people
Same and thats on a slow day
not only did he have an assistance....but what person that would go grocery shopping would ever leave it neatly organized so it can be easy for the cashier to scan the code
The host is about to break the record for slowest talker and longest to get to the motherfucking point.
That was really slow...
I feel like I would be able to challenge this record since I average 20 items per minute while bagging them by myself as well
Me too. I'm anywhere between 15 and 20 on my own. . ANd the poor quality of their bagging is something to be noted too...
Our company guideline is 34 items per minute* BUT we don't bag them ourselves (it's not really a thing in Europe)
*And I'm only at 30 so far ;-; It'd be more if our fucking system actually recognised all the codes and we didn't have to look up a bunch of them manually, or if we didn't weight produce on the scanner :/
This is sad
On a average I do 30 ipm
I’m at 40 ipm lmaoo
That's crazy. How lmao. My ipm is 14 and the highest in my store is 20, I wish I could average 20 lmao
Go to Aldi, they’ll do that in 10 seconds flat 😂
All products were placed with the barcodes below. How does this count... and even then it was slow.

After hearing the audio at 3:12, I don't think I'm gonna be able to sleep tonight.
had to switch for what reason? pulled his arm bagging the black pepper?
I can do this twice as fast -- been doing this for 20+ years
My highest was 67 and I hit that today within 126 items of total (alone including bagging myself) No produce stuff though. But still I feel like me and my Meijer co-workers are way faster than them.
126 items, bruh thats like 3 orders💀💀
WIC: YOU UNDERESTIMATE MY POWER
Customer: I'mma ruin this mans whole day
🤣🤣🤣
This is such bullshit. Must cost a lot to even stage a record attempt, because these 2 old guys are not even close to being the fastest in the world.
that was scary average.
This was like kinda slow tbh
That's fucking hilarious
When I worked at Walmart they measured our items per hour
I guarantee there's a Walmart cashier out there that could blow this record up
When I worked at Stop&Shop I had to wait for the register to catch up. It would stop scanning and would not let me scan until it caught up to me.
They didn't have no produce item like fruit and vegetables that sometimes you have pause and count for few seconds...
I would beat their scans per minute. I'm Doing this with the Magellan 9800i without having any digimarc packages. But this scanner is very awesome. You can easily read multiple codes at once, something a old school scanner will never be able too. I hope i can find digimarc on European packages very soon :)
I’ve scanned two items at once before.
I think it should have been more items including produce and a few odd objects(misc keys). I agree. Nothing exciting about this Guinness. I work at The Market in Louisville Nebraska. If I'm working, expect a swift checkout and the customer service too! :)
In a real scenario, a cashier would not be throwing food in my bags
Yikes, I work at a hannafords and I scan twice as fast on a regular basis. Plus, it's faster if he scans one hand to the other instead of grabbing one item in each hand and scanning them at the same time
Visit your local Costco or Aldi and they can get this done in less than 30 seconds lol!
slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
The worst part is he thinks it’s a difficult skill and that he’s done something incredible
Aldi: *hold my off brand Walkers*
Some Aldi cashier :... "Amateur 😒"
Lol dude that aint fast o.O Im from germany and also a cashier this is just average...
And our system is like 10 years old and old touchscreen panel and sometimes they just dont scan the item.
This is really not fast
All of my cashier co-workers at heb are 3x faster than that
So, this is the guy that was scanning the items while my mom was getting bannanas.
Instead of a world record how about a raise.
Dude I do this speed these guys are doing as a warmup at food lion
with 2 people? i think i could beat this since i average 34 per minute alone
I am a faster checker than those two guys combined.
LMAO everyone flexing on everybody else with their checkout skills in the comments
Makes me wanna find a job as a cashier
How is this fast? I fell asleep

Watch in 2X
They obviously had all the grocery items pre-positioned, with bar codes facing down so not having to search for them.
I work at Aldi ireland and im a lot faster :)
No produce codes, scan is Easy, like that there is people faster than you

Okay?
I wonder if there is a record set by single cashiers bagging items themselves. If that were a thing I swear I'd try to make that. I get 20 items per minute while bagging simultaneously
I swear my coworker goes 2x faster than them lol
Thats not fast, im quicker then that
Don't go to Walmart and expect anything FAST.... You are lucky to watch them work like they are getting paid.... SLOW!
Not in my line 😂😂
I could definitely do this
