yes but to be fair Nick did line up the top of Ronaldo's head at the highest point of the jump with the BOTTOM edge of the soccer ball. So Ronaldo could definitely touch this hanging ball (barely), but not hit it forward/score it.
I'm sure he's okay with it because the dude jumping was putting on a show for everyone there. He wanted him to get it done. Easy $100. I wouldn't be complaining.

what they don't realize is how much harder it is for Ronaldo. Imagine a ball flying towards you at about 80-90km/hour , then defenders fighting you off, trying to outbalance or push you over when jumping.

Great video Nick. I was wondering if you can make a video on testerone levels lowering with endurance sports since you trained hard and competed at the Olympics. And like your perspective of and ways maybe we can limit the effects of impacting us. Thanks.
The thing is although Ronaldo is a crazy athlete he is also utilizing the collision with the defender to help his jump, causing a sort of trampoline effet
It's way harder than I thought. My thought process was that a 6' person would need a vertical jump of 43" to pull it off, plus it's not standing, so that some basketball or football players would make it easily (they could be taller than 6' too).
I hope people appreciate Ronaldo's capability even more. Ronaldo jumped off from grass which was soft., and he his forehead (not the top of his head) hit the center of the ball. Actually he had to use his forehead to hit the center of the ball to achieve that goal. His max height might be considerably higher than that.
Yeah, this is definitely too high for an actual header, but they also weren't doing a header, just trying to graze the ball. Even so, it's likely still higher than he jumped, but it made for an exciting video so it all worked out
Yeah, but what Ronaldo did was even more difficult. He had to get to the ball, watch it's trajectory, jump at just the right time, and somehow head it into the net.
The ball needs to be hit with near forehead for actual scoring the ball to the net. That means the jumps has to be higher than the Nicks challenge height. Which will be dam difficult to achieve. Ronaldo’s jump is a super human jump. 👍
