- The banknote counting champions from four major banks came to CCTV’s “Impossible Challenge” to try and break the Guinness world record for the most banknotes counted in 30 seconds while blindfolded. The four champions used different techniques to quickly count the money while blindfolded. In the end, Zhuo Minjing from the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China broke the Guinness world record of 178 by counting 202 banknotes.

What if the guy really counted 201 but he thought the result was a nice 200 number so he changed it...that feels even worse.

I think it's the amount of notes each person counted and the accuracy is for how much did they really count. That's why they had different numbers.
Remember that they are only using 50% of their power without eyes
Depending on person. The ones who lost probably used more eye sight.
i mean when ur going that fast eyes dont really play a part its all about feel. I think blindfolding them would maybe help them, for it limits distractions.
Blindfolding is actually worse and makes them lose focus more easily because sound becomes more prominent and you can get distracted the sound beside you. Imaging you are going "101 102 103" then beside someone is flipping faster pace "1 2 3 4 5 6", totally messes up your tempo and calculation

I actually think they maximize it when they're blindfolded. It's more of sense and focus. Just the way fastest typists don't look at the keyboard.

@@josealmeida5768 we got calculator why spending time to train ppl doing 10x10digit calculation; we got lifting jack what a waste to have weight lifting in olympics; why there are titles like grandmaster of memory while the computer can simply store anything ...there are so many 'useless' case like these, but the whole point is to see that human being exceeds the limit and does impossible things which most of us can't. just respect and appreciate the hard work and dedication lol

When I was in college I sold my books back at the end of the semester. The guy handling it counted the money like guy #2. He rolled off $125 in a second or less. I stood there with my jaw on my chest in amazement. When I turned my back to him and moved away a little, I recounted. He was accurate. I'm 72 now but that I remember clear as if it were yesterday

When you've practiced for many years to mastered bank note counting but in the end the counting machine's your judge.
Lol,.In the first few seconds of the video I thought they were adding up the currency as well until I saw that they were blindfolded.
My mother could do 130ish blindfolded .she could also type app 130 words a minute on the 1960 style type writers.she quit doing short hand at our court house .she said that there was no way to get better.everyone talks the same speed .she could have a conversation with you while counting thousands at the bank.and she could pick a counterfeit with her fingers while counting stacks.she could really multitask. She took a bad stroke and only has use of 1 hand. Still types 80 a minute on the computer

New world record is 202 notes in 30 sec set by last contestant.

It is possible, but you need to be extremely quick, and that hard cause you can easily forget the correct number.

They had To Count as many as they can from the Given X amount. Tho her No was Correct (191). Winner Counted More than her.
In short Given Money was Same they just needed to Count as Many as they can In 30 sec but should be More than 178.

Should have a competition amongst countries. I know the Indonesian uses 4 fingers to count instead of one. It is a more efficient method. For a 200 count, they just need to sweep through 50x instead of 200x.
