I feel like good memory usually comes from asians because everything we learn is literally all memorization and has been ever since primary school.

They train and practice a lot to be able to memorize like this. They learn some tricks to help them memorize easily and then grind this skill really really hard. East asians seem to excel something like this ‘easily’ is because they work really hard for that. It’s their cultural ethos.

Looks like you doesn't know anything about Chinese. Chinese teachers trained students at a young age to memorize a single book and we even did that before. Memorizing was the expertise of all Chinese people and if they practice everyday their memory will be sharped like a bank teller.

I mean chess GM's can play 10 games or more at the same time blindfolded. This also looks insane but in chess you also have to think of good moves, calculate sequences and be creative. But i have no clue i can't do neither of those two
China needs the upbringing of talented generation to compete globally. Chinese back then like reciting poems and 3 word phrase in which build better memories.
