Loved this video. I love your work because I can see the research present in the video. More often than not video essays (visually) read as authoritative fact, and that's just not what history is. :)

You'll have to do a video on Henry Christophe after Marlene L. Daut's book on him comes out next year!Great stuff.

Slavery and inequality is a choice that people make.
And it can be ended in one declaration. One vote. At any time

Also, you should consider using future videos to draw some attention to the current crisis in Haiti. Things are quite dire there right now.

Lol, Haiti has an absolutely INSANE history, not only during the revolution, but also after 🇭🇹

Why are you making it seem like Touissaint was plotting to overthrow the French agent's/get rid of them? Simply not true. Why Sonthonax was sent away by Toussaint we don't know to this day.

Why so fast? Your words run in on each other and make comprehension tough. A story which many more should know and appreciate but your effort could be vastly improved by production improvements.

This is a bit of the good old style you portrayed... Sadly, this is just part of the epilogue of this channel. Irregularities and downside of the quality have ostracized it. 😢
