I found that he at several occasions stated theories as fact, and estimations and conjecture as proof. We will see what kind of experts the defense can find to serve as rebuttal later. It is not sensible to expect a general defense attorney to go toe to toe with a domain expert in the field of pulmonology.

For people that have a problem with science , this trial is hard to watch. I see this as a teachable moment of how death is determined using science. Some people were going to reject any thing that doesn't fits an opinion as to the cause of death.

Here's another amazing doctor who is providing witness expertise without getting paid. She is doing it because of the importance of this case as she stated early on. Dr. Thomas is thorough in her explanation of subject matters that were asked of her. Dr. Thomas and Dr. Tobin are both saints in my opinion. 👍

I'm not 100% sure which statement you are referring to but I'm assuming when Dr Thomas was talking about cause of death. When Dr Thomas was referencing "sudden death" she was talking about a cardiac arrhythmia which causes what is medically referred to as "sudden death". Basically the heart suddenly stops beating effectively and the person "drops dead". Asphyxia can be "sudden", as in relatively quick, but not referred to as "sudden" in medical parlance. Hope that makes sense 😊

The forensic pathologist had no physical evidence of asphyxiation and knew he had a lethal dose of drugs along with a severely damaged heart and still called it a homicide based on .... kissing someone’s butt. No good pathologist would refer to impressions from a video and override the more pressing medical issues along with lack of evidence to support their video impressions. They base conclusions on facts. I’d believe him more if he said “undetermined” but neck compression is one of the contributing factors along with these other major issues. The pathologist isn’t credible and I wouldn’t trust him to look into my loved ones death. Not picking sides but he is just not a scientific thinker.
There is no such thing as a uniformly lethal dose of any drug. Asphyxiation doesn't necessarily have to leave marks. You are confusing "Asphyxiation" with "Strangulation". You don't necessarily have to have a medical degree to have an opinion, but you'll have to forgive me for lending more credence to the medical opinions of those who do.

I'm not 100% sure which statement you are referring to but I'm assuming when Dr Thomas was talking about cause of death. When Dr Thomas was referencing "sudden death" she was talking about a cardiac arrhythmia which causes what is medically referred to as "sudden death". Basically the heart suddenly stops beating effectively and the person "drops dead". Asphyxia can be "sudden", as in relatively quick, but not referred to as "sudden" in medical parlance. Hope that makes sense 😊

The forensic pathologist had no physical evidence of asphyxiation and knew he had a lethal dose of drugs along with a severely damaged heart and still called it a homicide based on .... kissing someone’s butt.
No good pathologist would refer to impressions from a video and override the more pressing medical issues along with lack of evidence to support their video impressions. They base conclusions on facts. I’d believe him more if he said “undetermined” but neck compression is one of the contributing factors along with these other major issues. The pathologist isn’t credible and I wouldn’t trust him to look into my loved ones death. Not picking sides but he is just not a scientific thinker.
There is no such thing as a uniformly lethal dose of any drug. Asphyxiation doesn't necessarily have to leave marks. You are confusing "Asphyxiation" with "Strangulation".
You don't necessarily have to have a medical degree to have an opinion, but you'll have to forgive me for lending more credence to the medical opinions of those who do.

SeanChYT the doctor did his calculations using physics, he has all the parameters, including his weight , he even noted that the weight of Chauvin and his belt, or whatever Chauvin had on his belt, he did not know his weight at the moment. You think because he did not know Chauvins weight at hand will sway the case. Doubt it
