CPR is what Floyd needed.
this defence attorney is painful to watch ,talk about clutching at straws , nano seconds beyond nano seconds , trying to find an angle to challenge a distinguished expert with 46 yrs experience.
Also, I feel like the paramedics should be sued for not telling that police officer to get out of the way completely out of the way when they didn't get the police off of, George,( that ) police officers pick him up like he was a sack of potatoes when they should have taken his handcuffs off laid him on his back and put him up on that stretch the right way. If my memory serves me right when ,George, got to the hospital, Ion the hospital bed( he still had the handcuffs on!! ) .
This is also my opinion! If these cops are guilty then so are the paramedics for their treatment of GF too - why didn’t they start CPR on scene? Why did they drag and flop his dying body onto that bed? And why didn’t they relay that GF had possibly taken drugs too!
Lawyer Blackwell's clarity along with Dr. Tobin's eloquence on the stand posits the question as to how have those murderers, dressed in blue, been able to get away with their crimes? RIP Eric Garner et al.
Yes definitely.... the all hinges on cause of death .... traumatic asphyxiation v drug induced hypoxia v excited delirium. You need expert witnesses to prove a cause of death
@AboutMyFathersWork Always you need to prove cause of death.... just looking at the video is not proof enough. If the prosecution failed to present expert witnesses on cause of death it would be simple for the defence to introduce sufficient reasonable doubt: drug use, previous medical history, excited delirium are all differential diagnoses in this case
@AboutMyFathersWork Always what foolishness, of course you need an autopsy to prove cause of death! Negative findings on autopsy (eg no brain haemorrhage) are just as important as positive findings

@@pawegraczyk6050 , that phrase "faster than the speed of light" is just a "saying", not meant to be taken literally which is the context that Nelson said it. So to make it seem like the doctor who is a leading expert and authored many books , authored articles, teaches, etc, doesn't have common sense or doesn't know what he is talking about is disengenuous. Chauvin killed a man and needs to be held accountable and this doctor just destroyed what the narrative that the Defense is trying to push.
"If you look at the 5 minutes and 3 seconds that you focus on, where, if you consider all the nanosecond and milliseconds, in the 5 minutes and 3 seconds, *WHERE* was Mr. Chauvin the vast majority of that time?" 😂😂😂
Mr. Nelson hasn’t much to go on, but I’m tired of him pretty much going over the same questioning with each witness. I’ve never seen anything like it. The bottom line of this case is . . . the knee on the neck even after he was unconscious!!! I think the defense should have plead out. Also, has anyone seen the defense and defendant converse with each other? The defendant is driving me crazy with his constant writing. He doesn’t seem to be helping in his own defense though obviously there isn’t much he can do.
Defense: You are not a Minneapolis Police Officer Dr T: Correct Don't have to be a police officer or doctor to know when someone is dead. Chauvin kept his knees on GF for a few extra minutes after Floyd died. The crowd pointed out several times that GF was no longer responsive, that his eyes rolled back to his head. The crowd thought (correctly) that Floyd was dead. The paramedics testified they initially thought (correctly) that GF was dead before even touching him. Yet, The three cops on top of him couldn't tell (even giving them the benefit of the doubt) that GF was dead it at the very least in medical distress and they failed to do their job of administering CPR. It's about accountability. On that day it was GF, the next time God forbid your own loved one. The doctor's testimony makes it clear that the defensive tactic of putting anyone in the prone position for more than a few minutes needs to be re-evaluated. At the very minimum, Floyd's death should not be in vain. His past, his drug use is irrelevant to THIS case. This case is about whether Chauvin went to far and whether his actions along with the other two officers resulted in the death of a man period. This case needs to lead to changes in how police restrain people (while maintaining their own safety) and what they should do once the person is handcuffed. Everyone is entitled to their day in court, not killed by overzealous police who push the boundaries of their department's policies and hide behind union paid defense teams. There are good cops out there and the bad apples are the ones putting the good ones in danger, not the public.
@@widowerson They take specific classes on law. Of course they are not expected to know as much as a lawyer but they are expected to know certain laws that specifically apply to their area of law enforcement. What they're absolutely obligated to know is whatever use of force policy their department has adopted, and the lawful implications of not sticking to that policy.
@@HariKrishnan-kx1is it's astounding how little they actually have to know. To get a gun, a badge, and license to use force against and arrest the public based off the discretion. What other job gives that much power for such little education? A hitman? A mobster?
Also, @azianknight, ' Prosecution's' should not have been capitalized. But I'm happy you're so much smarter than the Starbucks baristas and McDonald cashiers.
However deep this defence wants to go into the medical and science side of things, the inescapable legal fact in this case, is that the coroner stated compression to the neck and police restraint were significant primary factors in the cause of death given Mr Floyd's heart condition. And however you want to look at it, there is no way to excuse or explain the nearly 9 minutes of 4 people pressing their weight down on Mr Floyd and Chauvin kneeling on his neck applying more and more pressure. The excessive police constraints were direct casual factors in George Floyd's death and seemed to be very prolonged and completely unnecessary, therefore the defence has little to offer..it's a homicide in which Chauvin is taking the blame for. In my opinion all the officers who lay on or pressed down on George Floyd acted inconsistent with police training and standards, so all are jointly liable for second and third degree homicide. All should be on trial. Chauvin seems to be sacrificial lamb, the others lose their jobs but not their freedoms.
Reading the comments I’m not seeing this as a win for the prosecution. Nelson out of the gate established that the doctor is waiving his fee, this could lead the jury to think that he is vested in this case on the side of the prosecution. That demonstrates bias and makes his subsequent testimony biased also.
@@berryreadable It does matter. The guy may be an expert but here is an activist. He is aware that his own colleagues, mistake symptoms of breading problems, yet he visibly has highest expectations on cops than on his fellow doctors 😂 I saw no prove of negligence here, and that is the key.
@@berryreadable expert witness testimony should be impartial and based on fact, the jury then decides on how that testimony impacts other witness testimony relating to the prosecution case. this defence attorney is painful to watch ,talk about clutching at straws , nano seconds beyond nano seconds , trying to find an angle to challenge a distinguished expert with 46 yrs experience.
I know!! What a joke! Nelson was done once dr. Tobin took the stand. Defense is done. Chauvin = guilty ! Thank God! 👍🏽
As my Irish friend would say, "In Ireland we don't mince words, we mince meat."
Nelson...what are you talking about..
He’s just wasting time and blowing air.... very annoying!
Great cross examination. Proving that the state was right and Dr. Tobin was an excellent witness!
Defence counsel was a joke here. Dr Tobin is or should be considered a national treasure.
Wow. That’s a lot of hours put in and excessive number of meetings with lawyers.
Lawyer Blackwell's clarity along with Dr. Tobin's eloquence on the stand posits the question as to how have those murderers, dressed in blue, been able to get away with their crimes? RIP Eric Garner et al.
I so agree!
Dr. Tobin was a star witness for the prosecution.
Watching Nelson struggle here is quite entertaining
To be fair with him, he received the info about Tobin’s testimony only yesterday which left him very little time to prepare.
@@Down-South Makes sense then. Tough testimony to cross anyway, little preparation only made it harder

Chauvin's ⛔☠️⛔ Guilty ⚠️
Exactly, Chauvin knew how to do this restraint correctly and he chose not to do so. Nothing influenced his decision but his own choice here.
Did we really need an expert to figure this out 🤔
Yes definitely.... the all hinges on cause of death .... traumatic asphyxiation v drug induced hypoxia v excited delirium.
@@MD-pl4ww oh I definitely get why we need one in court I was just being sarcastic cause the bystanders in the video called it through common sense. You’re 100% right though

Yes he is lovely but actually does not understand physics. Nothing is faster than light. Like someone said, a step done out of the field of one's expertise is like a step done on the edge of the cliff. He may be an expert but here he is an activist...

Poor Nelson has lost his voice 😂

May be but here he is an activist looking for some distraction in his life.. Those slides from previous hours are all unscientific.
Defense: You are not a Minneapolis Police Officer
Dr T: Correct
Don't have to be a police officer or doctor to know when someone is dead.
Waiting how long they on a break for?

You understand police officers are not obligated to know the law right.
Nope they literally enforce it which requires them to know it

@@widowerson They take specific classes on law. Of course they are not expected to know as much as a lawyer but they are expected to know certain laws that specifically apply to their area of law enforcement. 90% of smokers lungs aren’t affected by smoking. Wow. What’s causing all the lung cancers and COPD in smokers?
Lol. Defense council is not going to outwit Dr. Tobin.
Reading the comments I’m not seeing this as a win for the prosecution. Nelson out of the gate established that the doctor is waiving his fee, this could lead the jury to think that he is vested in this case on the side of the prosecution. That demonstrates bias and makes his subsequent testimony biased also.
All expert witnesses are biased, so this argument doesn’t matter.
If you can demonstrate bias this denotes that at least part of the evidence and testimony is unfair. This is not a court of morality, a court of law should be impartial and based on evidence.
