1:56 A What If scenario of Bastion being one of the first X-Men had Professor X got him first does sound interesting.
He and Beast would make a dynamic duo when it comes to tech and science together.
I don't find it interesting at all there is no strategy at all they don't talk about their power it isn't inspiring
I was seeing a pep talk and we are far from it
With maybe Nimrod resurfacing trying to influence him more to stab the X Men in the back. Sounds very interesting
“We face it as we always have as a family” (amazing moving line)
Sunspot: I DO NOT KNOW YOU PEOPLE
be prepared for a lot of team fragging
lol
Vin diesel: that shouldn’t matter sunspot. Once your family, your family.
“Without warning”
The attack on genosha WAS the warning Scott. I would be with magneto so fast if anything like that happened to people I know
Did you miss the fact that Magneto is killing the planet? Storm herself says so.
Soooo... babies die in hospital and the vast majority of Earth who had nothing to do with this deserve to die because of Bastion and Sinister? No way Magneto isn't just as bad a Hitler.
The dude is literally killing the planet, the planet! no just humanity, its the planet now, we are beyond justifications now, the guy has quite literally lost his mind
That attack was planned by another mutant just as much as bastion, to start a war with mutants by a mutant
@@Ares99999With either that or let the prime sentinels take over
0:20 This gives me vibes from Masters of Universe Revelations.
Skeletor: "So what? We just walk in the front door and ask Evil-Lyn, saying "Please don't destroy the universe!"
Adam: *smug face*
Skeletor: "Oh my God, we are!"
That actually sounds like a pretty funny joke to be perfectly honest 😂
Sunspot suddenly running his mouth like he's a boss....
Rich Brat
He’s a rich kid with op powers it comes with the territory
let him be, bro thinks he's important 💀
I mean, the whole reason he was tame was because of his love for his mother. Then she turned him over to the genociders with no hesitation.
He was a chicken with Mommy issues earlier. He's moving just like Magneto and Rogue now......off of recent hurt. I hope he and Rogue eventually pull through.
Man, Magneto can never stay a hero for long. Something always has to screw it up. He really did do a good job when Xavier gave him the X-Men. Too good of a job, I guess. Probably why writers have always made it a temporary change.
Yeah Charles really did a great job giving the x men to a *well-known* unreliable misanthrope with unstable alliances
if they ever let magneto stay a face, marvel (and more specifically disney) has to reconcile with saying that armed resistance against an oppressive state is a valid choice and not hopelessly trying to "fix things from the inside" like xavier posits, and that's a huge no-no for them. like, status quo resetting aside, they can never commit to that or trying to make the x-men stories about anything other than fetishized oppression. it happens all the time in the comics, it happens all the time in adaptation.
just gotta learn to enjoy the ride as just that and know when to get off when it comes to x-men, unfortunately. at least 97 is a particularly fun ride.
It’s starting to get repetitive, magneto always becoming the enemy
@@ryogahibiki7806 Not to mention making relatively little sense. The man is one of the most powerful mutants on the planet. He's stood toe to toe and side by side with cosmic entities and come out on top. He's even overpowered the full might of the Phoenix Force on a number of occasions. Even if the X-Men bring their a-game, that dude's just out of their league.
If you've been given multiple opportunities to reach out to a man like that, to help him deal with his grief in a way that *isn't* inherently destructive to the world and its inhabitants, why would you then turn around and screw that up? The most egregious example being how quickly the X-Men turned on him the *instant* it looked like he did something, only to later learn it was his clone. The whole situation made them look like idiots.
It was only 5 episodes of him being a hero
Blue and Gold reference
Still have my Marvel trading cards from the 90's with Blue and Gold team!
Rogue wearing Gambit's trenchcoat.
and leaving for Magneto. She's for the streets 😂
@@JasonBoyce Beside that mark
Yep
Storm channeling Dom Toretto in this episode.
in absolute disregard of a valid point of Roberto. Its like Hank said "lets revive nazis", Roberto said "but they are going to strike us later" and Storm answered "and we will face it as a family". How about not revive the fucking nazis?
0:01 At least Magneto neutralized the Prime Sentinels with his EMP.
That's why Scott shot Xavier later.
If he undid what Magneto did, the Prime Sentinels would get activated again, meaning Gold Team would have more problems besides Bastion and the basic Sentinels.
@@uncannydcmarvelous5732But if not reversed fast enough it will cause ireversible damage to earth
Interesting how Professor Xavior went to see Bastion when he was a child and his mother turned him down even though she knew her son was going through issues. The women just pretended that Bastion was just like other children instead of allowing Xavior to take him to his school where he could learn to hone his technopathic powers and maybe resist Nimrods anti-mutant influence. Xavior's school is supposed to teach these sorts of individuals to accept their differences and find a way to do good with their abilities. This is just my own subject conclusion, but it seems Bastion's big plan is mainly him just trying to be normal by changing everyone else into machine & human hybrids like himself. When the UN lady called Bastion a monster his only response was to say he was born that way conveying he probably never learned self-acceptance. It's twisted that he may have infected his mother with that techno-organic virus, however I believe much of Bastions depravity could be because of her poor parenting by allowing her prejudice to prevent her from seeking help for her son. The way she acted was the equivalent of a parent knowing that their child has schizophrenia or some other mental disorder but refusing to get psychiatric help and pretending everything's fine.
0:45 😂GOLD TEAM RULES!!!
This makes me think that Bastion is indeed a mutant, if Cerebro detected him.
Maybe NIMROD didn't choose two random humans- perhaps it "knew" which two humans would create a mutant, and even what kind of mutations would result, so it intentionally created a mutant that could control electronics in order to further it's own schemes.
Or maybe there is an alternate timeline in which Bastion is a regular technopathic mutant and NIMROD just knew about him and took advantage.
likely the latter, it knew there would be a Technopath and simply.. made sure it took control.
agreed, he is a mutant. I didn't know a sentinel could be a bloody hypocrit. Nimrod, not Bastion. I doubt Sebastion knows... or at least chooses not to accept.
He could talk to the Machines it made Charles to think that he was Mutant.
@@sanitizerwilson1599 I mean that's not exactly a crazy conclusion Forge can do much the same
It does beg the question, was bastion’s mom infected prior to meeting Charles? I’d reckon he’s considering how bastion’s mom accepted her son in the e flashback, it does lead me to believe she was on the plan (hence infected) to help make bastion the definitive killing machine.
And it hindsight it woulda been better for them not to be associated with bastion. He absolutely would have turned on them, learning their secrets, and undermined them.
If Bastion had been on the X Men he probably wouldn't have turned on mutants, he'd have had someone to help him learn to control his powers. I don't think his mom was infected until more recently, they only recently started infecting people and Trask was one of the early ones
@@JasonBoyce Bastion is NIMROD, so yes he would indeed have turned on them. The boy Sebastian might as well be considered possessed at best, brain dead at worst.
Blue Team/Gold Team.... Thank you, Jim Lee!!!
0:24 That sounds Cold AF
😢😢😢😢😢😢 Poor B. He may be a monster, but he didn't choose to become 1 like Sinister.
I'm laughing so hard at Beast in this scene. Dude is wearing his suit (tights) and a lab coat over it.

Bet Latveria is perfectly fine, lol.
Dr Doom probably had some emergency power in case something like this happens.

Magneto effectively set the planet the be nuked and he's only saving like minded mutant everyone else dies he might as well be Bastion.
Hold on to your butts people
Tomorrow is the day
Lol
Shut up sunspot you don’t even go here
Bastion is a robot not a mutant
He was a mutant, but with his powers he took out a lot of his organic parts so he could be fully tuned to his powers.
he said "I assumed" he was a mutant.
I don't think he technically is because his dad was infected by that sentinel goo and passed it to him, but his powers manifested like a mutant so Xavier thought he was
Human Hybrid. Watch the Demon Seed!.
nope, he is flesh and blood, probably a technomorph to boot. I mean he's up and walking around while all his primes are catatonic. He cries, he experiences joy, and he is was born a child. He's a mutant. And a man. I wonder if that is Essex's plan. He has to know right? why else would he side with him?
I dont get why cyclops stopped ProfX from taking control of Magneto's powers so he can revert back the magnetic fields.
If Xavier reverted back what Magneto did, then all the Prime Sentinel humans would get reactivated, and the other team would have more trouble besides Bastion and the basic Sentinels.
No lie, if the Avengers existed in this universe, Magnus would be dead in literal minutes.
They apparently do.
They do exist and they don't care
They are in this universe they know the X-men are the only ones to stop magneto and we know this is leading up to the Onslaught saga which has the X-men and Avengers team-up to stop onslaught from Desiree world which will most likely happen season 2
@@Rolfhn Unlikely. 90's xmen never implied the Avengers to exist. Other supers do, but the Avengers themselves don't.
@@karanrawat835 Makes no sense not for them to be available then. Saying they don't care about the Earth would be a lie or extremelly out of character.
Only explanation is that writers just don't want to use them OR they don't exist.
Hybrid Human!!!! not a Mutant!!!
Isn't properly a Cyborg?
When 90's Marvel Animated Universe and others are better and more comic-book accurate than trash lazy MCU.
Sunspot is like a jew in a room full of jews being the only one concerned that everyone is discussing how to revive a bunch of nazis that jumped on the first chance they had to become a very lethal anti-jew weapon AND will carry this with them, dormant or not, by at least a few years.
also, Storm is like, the woman that is actually stopping any permanent way to deactivate (not kill) the actual genocidal genious with strong world leader support that is going after her own people.
I really get why people side with Magneto. Xmen have modus operandi is a dumb pacifism that is basically suicidal in the long run.
Lol where are the avengers 😅😅😅
To busy not being as aweosme as the X-Men lol 😅
I don’t think the Avengers even exist in this universe even though individual heroes do
@@patrickmcguire7896 They do exist. We just haven't seen them. They were mentioned in an episode of Spider-Man The Animated Series.
Well, Rogue threw Captain America's shield pretty far. He's probably in the mountains with a shovel looking under snow XD.
They could be busy dealing with the fallout of Magneto's EMP. It caused a lot of collateral damage as they said in this episode.
They need to bring back Marvel Animated Movies and make World War Hulk, Civil War that is more faithful to the comic, Secret Invasion that is more faithful to the comic, House of M, Rated R Old Man Logan Elseworld and others.
An accurated Civil War where everyone are so out of character for the sake of the versus? meh xD

Xavier voice is still terrible
lol i cant stop hearing rudy from invincible when xavier talks
This show jumped the shark when they started claiming Magneto for 'declaring war'.
It fits the idea of showing humanity a reason to be scared. It was a global scale event that the UN could make a decision on mutants everywhere. The theme of one mutant is responsible for all. Magneto isn't a lone wolf.
They is a stretch, Logan specifically is using that terminology because of how he's seeing the situation. Even if they all recognize the issue, it's clear the other characters had their own thoughts on the matter
@@GreaterGrievobeast55 it doesn't make sense to me. They knew what happened on Genosha. It's like the Xmen see atrocities against mutants and do not care. I think it's jarring that after living and training with Magneto and seeing how he changed, they decided to still follow ineffectual Professor X. I love the show but the the way it was handled was just jarring to me.
Because Magneto is lashing out and going back to his terrorist ways on all of humanity for the actions of a few....his literally destroying the planet by unleashing the EMP and he doesn't care who gets caught up. Billions of innocent humans and mutants alike are going to die if they can't stop his crusade.
@@Ricky_Spanishh Honestly, it's less jarring than one might think. In the Cartoon, Eric is just building off what Charles built up.
That sterling reputation? Charles.
That belief that mutant could live along side humans in general populous that Bastion had to overcome? Charles.
The concept of a semi-peaceful resistance movement that worked in the benefit of humans and mutants that could be a respected ally to governments that supported mutants? Charles.
The whole reason that Bastion had to move in the shadows rather than in the sort-of-open with operation 'Wide Awake' in the comics? Charles.
Charles didn't fail, he's arguably the most effective Xavier of the many variants we have, he just never should have left. That said this whole situation could play out that Charles leaving prevented him from Dying on Genosha and then truly having no way back from there. Magneto looking to wipe out all life on the planet isn't an answer the Xmen wouldn't be willing to accept no matter the circumstances, even if it's 'Only to wipe out the humans and leave the mutants untouched (if there are immune to massive doses of gamma rays)' it's still something the xmen wouldn't allow with or without Charles.
In the end, Magneto's action could very well be the reason Bastion won't in the timeline, Magneto blaming the whole human race for the action of just a few? That would galvanize people, particularly those who one would have supported mutants. Bastion's whole plan wasn't extermination, it was to force humanity onto his side by painting Mutants as the dangerous threat the bigots said they were. Magneto is quietly playing right into Bastions hands here.
