A few suggestions.
1. A better technique if you're using less oil is to lower the heat and not stir too much to get those potatoes crispy and brown as opposed to dark brown-blackish as in the video.
2. Always add soya sauce on the sides of the pan or in direct contact with the pan. It's well known to always let the sauce sizzle/sear a bit before you incorporate in into the food.
Great video!
Ok but whats wrong with unsaturated oil? Nothing bad with vegetable oil.
@@samysdefer nothing wrong with veg oil.
@@jamesha175 ah yes. Not a native speaker sorry
@@samysdefer you're OK
@@samysdefer Nothing wrong with unsaturated/veg oil from a health perspective, but it is high in calories, so it might not be good in large amounts for people who want to reduce weight.
I have to always had to adjust the macros for an online recipe but this is the first time I’ve seen someone actually make a high protein low calorie filling breakfast. Thanks!
615 kcal is low calorie huh?
@@JackFastGame My thoughts exactly lol
@@JackFastGame bro how much do you eat a day? 600 calories is a good breakfast, if you're looking for high protein ur most likely working out so u should burn more than that easily
@@kaykmartins7335 I eat 6 times a day, my average portion is 300-400 calories.
@@JackFastGame bro has 6 lunches a day 💀💀👹
Tried this today. It's the only thing I've eaten and it's 6pm right now and I'm not starving like I normally would be. It was so quick to make. And the microwaving of the potatoes 👌
Nice! Thanks for the feedback :)
All good...but please maintain proper meal time
So you are normally starving.. and from a normally starving person perspective you think this is 👌🏻, just checking..
Your savory recipes literally never disappoint. So proud of how far you've come
Thank you so much for being here from the very beginning

The microwaving step is a great trick!
Maybe that's the step I'm missing! When I do sheet pan veggies my kids always complain my potatoes are still under cooked
Not everyone have a microwave.

Now that the weather is starting to turn and become more cold where I live, I'm in the mood for a nice hearty warm breakfast. This is perfect for those cold mornings. Awesome.
Definitely my favorite breakfast to make. Instead I use bell peppers and garlic as well as onions of course. And i use coconut oil because it doesnt burn but it also gives it a very nice faint coconut taste. For seasonings, i add some rosemary and parsley. Then at the end with the eggs i top it off with some shredded cheese. Put some Tapatio on it and boom, its perfect.
What is Tapatio?
@@missmayflower Hot sauce, very good stuff
I love this!! Instant favorite! Your teaching style is very fluid and easy to follow, without going to fast that you miss your audience. Thank you so much for your protein packed hash!!
That’s a great idea. I am glad I found your channel. I already made your chicken butter recipe and the whole family loved it. I like that your videos are short and to the point.
This recipe will be great for weekends, looks better than dinner brunch.
Awesome! Thank you!
chicken butter is not the same as butter chicken
We've also oven roasted potatoes with egg whites brushed on them. Gets nice and crispy! Love your videos!
Love how this really doesn't waste your time with waffle, very quick explanation for a great recipe, I love it
Every time I make this is blows my mind how filling and easy it is. Not to mention how tasty. Thanks for the recipe food wizard
This looks incredible!! I can’t thank you enough for your amazing recipes and the help it provides with people like me. You’re a hero.
Thank you so much!!
I just want to say I did this
"breakfast" for my dad this morning and he said it was FIRST CLASS! I didn't get to take a bite yet, though. Thank you for making this video. I'm so inspired😂
Amazing as always! Can’t wait for the cookbook!
You remind me old taste of dinners when I lived in my country side as a child. May God bless you for the recipe and whole channel :)
I use a little mozzarella at the end.. that enhances the dish to a different level. Also add tiny bit of turmeric and oregano. Just love this in breakfast!
Made this for the family. Had the leftovers for dinner as a burrito. it was so good. I just made it again as a big batch for the week of breakfast meal prep.
Sounds great! Thank you
Herr Felu, thank you for your consistently concise, clearly presented, practical meals. I guess we can replace the chicken ham with turkey slices too. The microwave potatoes was a great tip.
I made this today..used Worcestershire sauce and some turkey bacon instead of soy sauce and turned out delicious
Nice, thanks for the feedback
My wife and I love this dish! I add a bit of chopped spinach to have some greens and make it an even more complete meal and vegan sausages instead of turkey
Sounds great, happy that you and your wife like it :)
Vegan is very unhealthy and spinach are very high in oxalates
Was wondering about this exact thing but didn’t want to ruin the meal thank you!
Absolutely fantastic! Just what I needed to stop procrastinating and be able to start some consistency with my overall health. Thank you sir.
I am totally in the procrastinating part right now. It's hard where I live cause actually it's a bit cheaper most times to order food online and have it delivered than going to the market and getting some food to cook. Add that to the convience of simplicity of scrolling and picking some food out and clicking a button and that's why I procrastinate.
Stumbled upon this vid and made this earlier, so easy to cook with few ingredients and delicious. Thank you!
I am in love with this channel. So many cool recipes!!!
There's something seriously special about potatoes and eggs. Never thought to use soy sauce but will definitely try that out.
My grandma taught me how to make this except, instead of ham it was bacon, and milk with lots of cheese. It was cool seeing the microwave technique in a video 😄
This is the kind of Chanel i was searching all over RUclips finally a healthy useful cooking channel
Thank you and welcome 😊
Tried this recipe, it's really easy to do and it's delicious!!
Everyone in the house loved it
Thank you bro ! 👌
I saw potatoes, heard the German accent and immediately trusted this guy. This looks amazing!
You can't trust germans with ovens mate.
High calorie version for bulking:
-Use 80/20 ground beef instead of chicken ham
-Use more oil
-Top it with your favorite shredded cheese
-Add a slice of peanut butter toast on the side
I use heavy cooking cream and pancetta and sometimes kidney beans as well
Thank you so much for sharing this recipe video! I can't wait to try it out in my kitchen
t 99 I'm looking forward to new videos g1
your recipes are a game changer! i really love them! i think it would be more convenient if u also include the amount of fibre in each dish when u show the macros for us ppl who wants to track their fibre intake. thnk u for the amazing videos and recipes and keep it up!
Yeah, my microwave even has a "1 Potato" setting, whenever I do a breakfast skillet I start with that before the pan. Perfect home fries.
❤ thank you for so much for sharing! After a while of upping, my protein levels, I always have trouble creating new recipes. This video gave me great ideas. Thanks again.❤
Awesome! I did this with 1 whole egg, 2/3rd cup of egg white, and turkey bacon instead of ham. I saved around 100 cals on the recipe clocking in at 516 cals from my measurements and ingredients, which is perfect! It made room for my morning coffee which is 100 cals with 15g of sugar and 1/3rd cup of milk!
Tasted amazing, and wow it is filling. Way better than the egg white wraps I would make
Thank you for the recipe! It looked so good hehe Potato hash is amazing
Loving this Felu! Definitely a perfect addition to my weekday rotation!
That looks terrific. I will try it. Thank you. And have a great day.
easy to make and high protein. can't wait to try !🤤
Tried this and it’s amazing 1st time ever eaten the egg white too! Such flavour cheers for the recipe 👌🏻
This is it. Very few ingredients most people actually have! Easy, quick and doable! Nutritional and perfect for when you wanna lose weight or just eat more mindfully! Subscribed.
Glad you like it! Thank you
In Sweden we call this dish "pytt i panna"! Which means "small things in a pan". we usually eat it just like this, but with pickled beetroots :P The meat can vary, but usually is some kind of diced beef/pork
I have never owned a microwave, so I'll need to oven roast them first. I might sub the ham and chilli for Chorizo.
Made this today! its sooo delish 😋 thanks!
Simple, quick, healthy & high in protein. Gonna start cooking this now
What to do if you don't have microwave
Buy one
Steam the potato in a pan

This looks really nice! I can´t eat onions, so I will try it with chickpeas or regular peas instead.
Thank you so much for this quick food idea! It´s not easy to find things that will work in the morning, especially with my two small kids, but I bet they will love this.

@@Felu I will report it back to you ;)
It was awesome :) the kids wanted noodles instead, but I liked it just fine.
Dude the macros are actually insane for this. Can’t wait to try it out.
Now this is actually quick and easy. Can’t wait to make this!
I've been doing this for ages, minus the soy sauce. Super tasty, but didn't realize it would have that much protein.
I usually smoke my hash
Straight to the point. Much appreciated!
This was such a delicious and filling breakfast, thanks a tonne!!!
Potatoes are full carbs
Yum!! Great video can't wait to make this recipe this week!
Excellent recipe. I tried with air fried potatoes as well, tasted great. Thanks!
you lost me at "microwave"
Boil them for 5 mins the fry in pan
Why?
@@GlennConnolly-ii1mv softens the potatoes up cuts down on cook time and gives them a better crisp
It's a good filling breakfast, but there's nothing particularly healthy about it. Neither fried foods, nor processed meats are healthy if you eat like this on a daily basis.
I'm glad someone else noticed.Healthy this is not
Thanks for this recipe made it this morning and it was really good.
Absolutely incredible recipe! You are 100% strike rate with every dish I’ve tried Felu 🙌👏👏👏
Thank you :)
I use steel wool to clean my starchy vegetables - potato, sweet potato, carrot. What this does is it cleans it thoroughly buy also thins out the skin slightly, so you still have some of the nutritious skin but not too much. And it saves me a ton of time.
This is a great breakfast idea! Loved the soy sauce addition. I’m exited to try it!
Did this for 2 months and was a great recipe for my morning gains after gym, i would also grate cheese over it and have beans and 2 slices of wholemeal bread. Went from 72kg all the way up to 82kg! (Of course with gym and other meals)
Verry convenient meal and u dont need to be an expert! I started to add different meats aswell. ! Thanks!!!
Looks great. I grew up in a hispanic household where everything we cook is on high heat, so I personally love that burnt tang with my potatoes 👍
Thanks for the recipe it was so good. I added some tomato’s and garlic chunks. Thank you so much 😼
This is a traditional finnish dish called pyttipannu. Diced potato, diced meat, onions and usually eggs and either ketchup or mayo. It’s common at streetfood places.
Just made this and it is delicious. Great flavor and simple to make 👍
Tomorrow morning im going to test this. This looks amazing. I can already taste it🤤
This is so delicious! Thank you 🙏🏻
I've got some leftover cajun turkey from the deli and this is a perfect way to make sure it doesn't go bad! Thank you, Felu 🙏
Just found your channel and subscribed immediately. Keep it up man👏🏼👏🏼
looks delicious. i'm gonna try it out!
Excellent breakfast!! Loving it!
delicious, i added green/red peppers in with the onions and also added some minced garlic. 10/10
I just made that today and honestly it was soo good!!
I just made this right after i watched the video. Thank you. Loved it.
Glad you liked it :)
Great vid. I appreciate that you didn't give the camera a hellacious nod at the end to convince us the food tasted good, as if we are children.
holy shit my friend. i normally don’t even comment on videos but this is amazing. it tastes so damn good and so easy to make
This looks so good, thanks for sharing man! God bless you :)
The egg whites have less protein in it, from a lot of researchers and studies the egg yoke is the best part out of the egg
This was amazing and really easy to make. Thank you!
Glad you liked it :)
I love making potatoes for breakfast. Adding a red bell pepper would be a great addition
this was actually such a solid and easy to make meal
Brilliant recipe - Thank you
Somehow this is nearly the exact recipe my mom taught me for hashbrowns. Except I like my onions really dark so I start them off first with a green pepper or carrot or whatever else I have around. Then in with the ham or bacon cubes and boiled potatos. Anyway, subscribed and will start using the microwave trick
Bro, my mouth is literally watering. Im legit about to make this because it looks so damn bomb! Keep up the work man!
Wow this breakfast is great. Realy going to make it tomorrow.
This looks good. Will definitely check out more videos.
Will definitely be trying this soon!
If you have more time I always like boiling the potatoes with a a splash of vinegar in the water. Then let them cool off on a baking pan for a bit before frying. But that is for the weekend when you have more time to cook.
My guy.. you’re gonna change my life with this channel.
Thank you :)
I theory crafted basically this but no meat a few days ago, add thousand island sauce as a topping at the end it sounds weird but works amazingly
This recipe is insane, i tried it several times already and its absolutely amazing, im also adding few jalapeno chuncks and a bit of cheddar/ementaler melted cheese, which has half of the fat of the regular ones, like 18/100.Its amaaaazing 😍😍😍
Nice, glad you like it 😊
A great breakfast meal option that doesn’t include any kind of dairy - amazing!
If you have a little more time i like to parboil my potatoes, that is to boil them about halfway cooked. Then drain thoroughly and pat dry with a paper towel for maximum crispiness when frying, kinda manhandle them just a bit when stirring too to add some cracks and craggly surfaces for more crispy edges. I would maybe try lower heat than this though, the potatoes are looking a little dark for my taste at least
Replacing Chicken with Soya chunks can be a good alternative. I'll try this. Thanks for this simple yet great recipe.
Absolutely agree with your suggestions! Achieving that perfect crispiness with less oil is an art, and lowering the heat while minimizing stirring is indeed a fantastic technique. It's all about that golden-brown perfection without going too dark.
And your tip about adding soy sauce on the sides of the pan for that sizzle and sear effect is spot on. Enhancing the flavors by letting the sauce work its magic before incorporating it into the dish is a culinary wisdom that adds that extra depth.
Speaking of culinary wisdom, in my keto journey, I've discovered a couple of positive aspects worth sharing. Firstly, the controlled insulin levels have not only aided in weight management but also brought a sense of balance to my overall health. Secondly, the increased intake of healthy fats has contributed to sustained energy throughout the day.
As we navigate through the keto kitchen, here's a wise motto: "In the realm of culinary adventures, precision and technique are the keys to unlocking not just flavors but also a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle - let every dish be a masterpiece, and every day a step towards wellness!" 🌟👨🍳💚
Danke für das Rezept! Werde ich direkt morgen testen.
