I love how people think he does no research before he does something.
"Let me just cut my truck frame and not understand what I'm doing"
K...but I'm not sure he does enough or the right kind.
@@robsorgdrager8477 he does things all by himself and learns from his own mistakes, what more do you want
@@rubenbraekman4515 I'm not wanting more. He's his own person. The best way is to make mistakes. When I train mechanics I tell them " the best way to learn how something works is to break it and then fix it. "
@@robsorgdrager8477 K... so are you arguing against yourself at this point? How do you "do enough" without gaining experience by doing it?
Gingium im so proud of you. Been here since like 30k back when you did forza vids. Never would've thought you would be building cars. Its so crazy seeing how far youve come. Honestly my favorite RUclipsr. You put out such quality content and you have absolutely zero drama involved with your channel. The drift truck is beautiful you did an amazing job on the coilovers. That truck is the definition of built not bought. Love ya ging.
Yeah I am too. I have been here since he sold his ford focus. this is one of the biggest growths I have ever seen in someones channel and he deserves it for his hard work!
I came for Forza content but stayed for his cars

Dam I’m proud of you bro! The truck is coming together crazy fast, looks amazing!
Thank you so much! Cant wait to drive it again 😎

Those aren't going to pay themselves, give him some love on patreon
And a damn bandsaw

@@rubenbraekman4515 I paid for every thing in my shop out of my own pocket. But hey, if people will buy your tools for you....
*hears music*
Me: that kinda sounds like Skyrim music
Me, 20 seconds later:
YOOOO
Drift truck slowly coming together I love it
I remember watching you almost breaking molly while installing a cold air intake. It's so impressive to see what you're doing now. Great job Caleb.
Goddamn the production quality on this one is incredible! Keep it up with the spicy editing gimgim
So proud to see you progress, been here since around 50k when you had the Subaru and did forza. You have your own shop, weld, do metalwork and things like that. You’ve grown like crazy, keep it up Caleb
Literally my favorite build on RUclips rn!
mine is mastermilo82 rebuilding an old T-55

bro are you ok? Seems like you are having a stroke bro...

Keep doing what you do, the important thing is to be different and unique.
Been throwing you $2 on Patreon for like 5 months now and its constantly the best thing I spend my money on every month. Hope more people support you on there too I always wondered why you dont ask for support more often you desurve it
Loved the fast sawblades shopping edit ^^
Thanks for answering comments and what not, I know you do research and before and people don't realise you do. But it's abit of assurance for viewers. Keep up the great work!
Glad to see gingium taking his time to enjoy himself. Sure I wish for more videos but couple of weeks won't make me forget to watch his videos.
Good :) dont forget about me!
You might consider boxing the top of the coil mount as it can take quite a bit of force if you tag a pothole.
Right? I was thinking "Why not just bridge those two tubes with vertical plates and then drill mounting holes for the coilovers??"
@@Drunken_Hamster I have seen air bags set up that exact way. The question next is are you willing to add how much weight with that setup? Tradeoffs to be made..
Best thing of 2019 is the clamp you mean😏
this video was really nicely edited dude! Keep it up!
So I'm confident this will just get lost in amongst all the other comments but here goes anyway.
There will always be haters and idiots who think they know better than you and deserve to have more of a say in how your vehicles turn out than you do. But I've been around since before the days of Molly and seeing how far you've progressed as a home brew mechanic is amazing. You bought the mud panda and a cheap welder to learn to weld, it didn't go to plan but hey, here you are smashing out custom fabbed 5 links on old Mazda's with Lexus engines and Ford diffs.... I'm a qualified Vehicle technician and I'm confident there's still loads I could learn from you and I really do admire your efforts, commitment and passion for what you do. Keep pushing on Gingium, you're a true inspiration for me to get on and get a project of my own and tackle tasks I've never delved into before.
Much love from the UK!
ok please don't cut the bed too much, keep it clean
Miguel M Silva it’s already fucked because of the fuel neck, when he does a fuel cell and paints and stuff he will probably get a new bed from somewhere
Dude you're almost at 400k that's insane to think that you grew that fast
Make a custom bed floor out of diamond plate that has an angled hump contoured to the notch humps. Also, if you make custom wheel wells, it'd be interesting to come all the way up to the edge of the bed rails and share the same shape as the notch hump, but be longer so that an actual tire can fit in there. PS, you can paint the diamond plate black or even just bed-line it.
As a mechanical engineering lover, that suspension is a fat nut😍. Amazing job Caleb, you have come a long way since 27k
Loved the little HowToBasic style segment when you went to get saw blades! 😂
YOu have parts swappers and than you have gingium, 'oh thats in the way' cuts it off and than fabricates another piece....
Really underrated, just saying
Thank you
Great video before working! Glad i saw the notif
I've been watching gingium since may of 2016 and the fact you listen to skyrim music while working brings a whole new level of respect lmfao
each video you upload is better than the previous one! All time favourite youtuber ever! Have fun on the vacation!
Just found you tonight. Killer job man. Never seen a 4 link done wanted to do one to my 65 El Camino. Doing a good job keep it up man.
Oh and the triangles are "gussets". Lol cheers m8
I used to watch your Skyrim videos, you've come a long way. I'm proud of you :D
loved this video! really fun to watch because the way you edited it!
Honestly, when I started watching the channel one of my favorite things was that Gingium would specifically ask for constructive criticism, and usually directly address actual issues.
We've come a long way, but there's still something new to wrestle with.
Also, GINGIUM CANADA TOUR? xD
Ive been chugging rum and that skyrim scene was a fat nut. Keep up that awesome work bro
Love the video and the way the truck is turning out. Looks so good
Y3ss new vid is heree, life is great at the moment
The music was really good on this one. It had sort of ASMR vibes with you working to it.Also the cannel "Project Farm" might help you with cutting costs, when buying things like sawblades.
hey gingium... I told you so... awesome content keep up the good work and drift truck looks amazing
7:25 I was an adventurer like you once, until I took an arrow in the knee. The back half is going along nicely.
I can't wait to see how this beast is going to handle!
The sawblade edit killed me lmao. I'm going to be doing sketchy suspension work on my daily to slam it and your vids give me motivation to actually go through with it 👍🤙
Don’t ... don’t do that
@@klassenkustoms9932 just doing a mild body drop on the front, its fineeee 😂😂
You’re killing it!
Wonderful video Caleb! Thanks for the SkyRim soundtrack. Best wishes and Peace Out!
The reason it's like that is because if u have it parallel during the movement of the axel up and down the axel shifts from being center depending on the length, in this setup the axel doesn't move side to side at all at full droop or under full compression, alot of off road 4 links won't have a panhard rod instead they have 2 of the 4 links mounted in the center of the diff and the other 2 mounted on the ends of the axel and on the frame the links are mounted just like they are here
I would be a patron but i'm about to spend a shit ton fixing my bmw and adding a bigger turbo in the process lol
Ryan Burkett you would have a cpl of dollars spare each month then surely? Lol
Fantastic build man keep it up!
Daaam dude, the suspension is looking sick!!!!
I really love this build, dude.
I think your panhard rod is cool. Great video editing.
you should look into steel-it. it’s a really good product. it’s durable and is weldable. plus looks sick
Yeet! Nice video!
You a wavey dude, Caleb 🌊🌊🌊
You can get the coillovers more far out, put the coil on the gas tank side ,just swap the location if the coil it self, nice work man
You deserve patreon support more than any other RUclipsr I watch, don't ever feel bad for reaching out :)
Thank you :)
make the wheel wells for the bed out of a see through plasic of some sort so you can see the wheels, that would be sick
This dude really went from doing forza videos to learning welding and mechanics , proud of you
From Skyrim
Thank you! 😎
Gingium :)
Project is looking great! Maybe consider some sort of tonneau cover for the truck bed if you end up seriously modifying the bed to help it seem more street/sleeper?
Enjoy your v'cation!
I can’t do patreon but I do watch ads and like all your videos ❤️👍🏻
Thank you very much
Great stuff to give me ideas for my b2200 build. You have a great setup. I would just a few little things on my mine
Keep it up, I’m loving the drift truck!
Welds are mint bro👌🏻👌🏻
you should put a roll bar in the bed with lights on it, but try and make it streamlined like, hear me out, an avlanches. but you know. actually cool. maby use square light pods to match that 90s look
do a weekly live stream on patron of you cleaning the shop
Not a bad idea!
You should make the bed have a hatch going down to the suspension so if something happens when you are not at the shop you could check to see what it is at the side of the road.
5:48 Did I just watch Hot Fuzz? Nice one
Have fun on your holiday
Engineers: You need years of schooling to build a suspension.
Gingium: Hold my controller.
Installing your coilovers more in angle, would help to absorb a lot better and work/feel better on the road than a straight setup, I think it would be bouncy/stiff, unless if you set your bump adjustment really soft 💁♂️ but your build is sooooooo nice too see progressing
5 dollar patreon here love your channel keep up the good work
Please paint and rust protect the frame before putting that bed back on
He would do that, he need get welding done first
Love ur vid have a nice Vacation Sir Fabium
Try higher heat when welding it'll make the welds come out a lot better, keep up the good work
I knew you were going to upload today
Me gustan muchos sus videos, saludo desde Costa Rica 💙🗯️❤️🗯️💙
My favourite part is when you walk up to the camera, talking, from the other end of the shop.
Like Peter McKinnon getting into your editing
You could also triangulate the upper control arms and not have that bar at all
Thank you so much for this video, I’m planning out my build for a 1986 f150 and I wanted to lower it but wanted stiff suspension so no bags or spring cutting to match my frame stiffening set up. one question tho if you were going to have to choose coil overs for such a heavy truck what would you chose????? I have no idea what’s gonna be able to hold up.
Next time you butt weld two pieces of pipe together, try making a sleeve and rosette welding instead of a plain old butt weld. Much stronger, and there's easy guidelines you can follow on the Baja SAE ruleset that will give you solid joints that can safely and reliably bear load.
Do ya think a setup like this with 4 link and coil overs can be a good daily driving setup? But also a weekend ripper
It’s gonna roast tires after this 👌😯😮
Do u have a video how to pinion the shaft to proper ride height?
You can also put then panhard bar on top of the axle
Have a great vacation!
Lmao rocking the skyrim sound track.
ight this is some next level shit, you got my patronage.
Anyone notice better production quality I'm liking it
This truck is so sick. Can’t wait to learn how to fab stuff up one day. What’s a good price starter welder?
good video
If you’re ever feeling fab-y you should re vamp these to a cantilever set up!
You should paint all that staff , after you finish to prevent rust and also look nice
Teo Politis he will, don't worry
So I don't doubt the pan hard bar/ track bar will work under normal driving and probably if you where just a stance boy on bags that just used it to lower and higher the truck but I DONT think it will work that long with you putting a side load from drifting. Deft need one that goes behind the axle, way more durable.
I have an idea... hear this out. Where you have the frame brackets for the front of the links, you have them boxed off. Instead why not link them together, and around the driveshaft put a hoop so the driveshaft doesn't interfere, that will stiffen up everything and also put a hoop around the driveshaft for safety in case you drop a ujoint while drifting.
5:53 sounds like a Lowe's or Home Depot commercial
Can you share website where to get the red coil springs and we didn’t saw how you mounted the brackets for the lower part of the shocks.
Ran the tale of the dragon 3 times today on a bike. First time ever. Videos don't do it justice. At least on a bike.
I felt like I was watching Sherlock Holmes when you were putting in the drive shaft cover
i love the little how to basic edits lol
Good video bud help me alot
