I love how gingium starts a task and then finishes it. Like a lot of other RUclipsrs have like 30 projects and do something on one every other video. This is so much better
Ty guys, I’ve followed you for a while and I have a 86 FC that I’m putting a Ford 9” triangulated 4 link in and your attention to detail and how you articulate your words are amazing I’m going to post videos soon. ty so much, seriously I needed this video today 👍💯
By far the best car guy on RUclips. He doesn't complain. He does spectacular videos. Takes a lot of B role. He is slowly moving forward and always trying new stuff. Wish I could give him a raise. Fabium rules.
Just recently saw ur channel and subscribed. Binge watched the drift truck. Adventure bus and lifted Miata. In the past 3 days. Definitely keeps my interest
I’m so glad you didn’t sell the truck all the work that has gone into it is so worth it. I have loved every video since you got it back. Keep up the amazing work @gingium I love it
For future reference, you can bleed by yourself without needing power bleeder. You just need something like a Gatorade bottle and some tubing that fits snugly over the bleeder. Fill the bottle ~1/3 full of water or some other liquid and put the tubing in the bottle so it's fully submerged. Then, hook up the other side of the tubing to the bleeder and attach the bottle to some point on the car. You just need to make sure that the high point of the tubing is higher than the bleeder and the bottle is lower than the bleeder. Crack open the bleeder, make sure the reservoir is full, and go for it. I usually go 10-20 pumps before checking and refilling the reservoir, and go until the brake fluid coming out is clean (per the norm). At least in my experience, this is faster than having a friend help me and it gets great results.
I noticed when you messed up on the reinforcement bars that you put them straight, if you made them slanted making a shape of a triangle they’d be stronger correct? Something to suggest
Actually most of the force through that bar would be vertical from the coilovers and a horizontal bar at any angle is going to have the same minimal effectiveness.
@@xxRyanxx414 Triangles are great because they are strong in any direction on their 2D plane. In this case however the principle force does not like up with the 2D plane of the triangle. If you have a triangle sitting on the floor with the point up at the sky and you push it perpendicular to its 2D plane it will fall as easy as any other 2D shape, say a rectangle.
Congrats on every facet of your career Caleb. Think about how far you have come from just a few years ago until now. A lot of us us have been along with you this journey from not knowing how to do the simplest modifications to cars to doing the kind of stuff that you are doing now. You truly have been a huge influence in motivating me to do more than I thought I could. I'm certain that's trust for a few more people than just me. Keep growing and keep moving. We will be here to support you.
its crazy how far you've come man, i remember i used to watch you doin basic stuff in your garage and now u have your own shop doin all types of things i couldn't even imagine if doin man, dude congrats
I'm actually really impressed with how far fabium has come along . I work in a manufacturing facility as a welder /fabricator and I've been watching since you first started doing fabrication and it's gotten sooooooooooo much better
Iv been watching ging since the gaming days and to see the progression of his youtube career and the progression of the cars is just so satisfying. Seriously great work ging. Keep it up!
I was going to ask you if you need to do some lateral flanges for the shocks..... but then you mentioned at about 10:10 in the video. I'm glade to hear you are thinking about how your going to stress your chassis in the lateral direction and adding structure to the suspension to deal with those issues! I would maybe added some flanges at the top of the strut mouth too, but that probably is not really that much in danger of bending now that the rest of the suspension is supported.. Great project so far!
strongly recommend getting a self bleeder its great for bleeding brakes with a vacuum it also checks for vacuum leaks on any hoses. can even check for cylinder leaks
Just a recommendation. Idk how your truck feels obviously but if you have rear end grip problem, like to much wheel hop or it bounces in corners make an area too add weight. I use to drift my Colorado and it did great with sandbags
that bench vice mounted is still a joy to see... hum... good work on the truck Gingium! except the body panels, I dont' know what is not build by your hand... you cand really say "It's MY truck!"
I usually never subscribe to anyone. So for the record I subscribed because I want to see the Datsun Fairlady. (1500,1600,2000) can't tell from the angle, and the windshield is out so I can't tell if it's pre 66. After I finish watching...I better find a video about that car... And for the ones that don't know 3:31-3:35 the car on the right. Years till mine is done...just got it a few weeks ago, not an easy car to even see...much less own one. Now do some suspension for that. Since that's why I'm watching! 😂 Please please please 🙏 Datsun Love!
Caleb. I’m local to you and have a full stand alone fuel system with a 15 gallon tank and a swirl pot just begging to be put in the drift truck

Dani over Okay interesting! I know people with cages mostly do triangles anywhere they can but i wasn’t sure if it was the same concept for his sake

Dimple-died speed holes in your gussets would look awesome, add strength, and lighten some metal you throw at it. Great otherwise.

I know I'm super late to this party but the 4 link and coil overs on this build look great. Nice work!
There is just something so satisfying about a clean breadline job
