New subscriber here . Love your videos . I’ve fished bass tournaments with my dad for 33 years and go weekly with him ! Never caught a 14 but have 11 fish over 10 lbs so far. Keep grinding bud .
Love your content Tyler!! Here in SW Oklahoma, I've prab caught over 200 bass since last May, I pledge next yr to start your tournaments!! As soon as hunting season is over haha!!
Love the content and fishing tips. I also like when you compare 2 different types lures to see which one catches more. I have been reading about barbless hooks and thinking of trying it, since I catch and release. It is easier to remove hook and quicker to get the fish back in the water. What is your opinion on it? Maybe you could do a barbed vs bardless with the same lure. As long as the line stays tight, the fish should stay on.
Man, breakfast on the water? Sold. I was telling my buddy about how people in the south openly but jelly on breakfast things. When I lived in Texas, I got hash browns somewhere and they came with jelly. The sweet and salty combo was fantastic. It’s now a staple in our house now that we live back up north. I just fully retired. Time to get the RUclips stuff together 🤙🏼🤙🏼
I need to get me on the PWF deal pretty soon! Always love the kayak videos to bad the hybrid hunter wasn’t the deal that day but can’t beat top water 😅
Hey I have a 7ft med fast rod thats rated to throw up to 1/2 oz, and a graphite reel with 12lb line. I am looking to try a finesse jig. Would that be able to throw a finesse jig or will it not work. (in midwest if that matters)
i tried fishing in the rain on Monday and overcast skies to experiment how it would be (I wore a poncho and tried staying under the cover of trees). Either the majority of the fish weren't where I was or they just weren't aggressive at all. I felt one tug on my bait and something tried getting my top water frog which it missed, and that was it as far as fishing for the bass went. Couldn't figure it out. I also lost both of my jigs on snags. I'm pretty much done trying to catch bass with jigs as all my catches have been on just soft plastics. I have yet to understand the jig hype.
I have a 5 6' light spinning rod. I use it for 4.25 in fluke. It is rated up to 6lb line. I have 6 lb mono on it but it isn't strong enough. Could I go up to 8lb floro or would you suggest braid. If so what lb braid
Good evening I have just gotten into fishing later in life in my late 40’s thank you for the videos I’ve been learning a lot… one question I notice you don’t say much about evening twilight times for fishing
That's awesome, so glad you’re into it! I just have a newborn, so I don’t really have any time to fish in the evenings! That bite can be awesome as well
@@TylersReelFishing oh good to know! I live in northwest WA , if you come to my area, here’s my recommendations: Lake Terrell (largemouth), Lake Whatcom( smallmouth, maybe a largie) Lake samish(smallmouth) Clear lake (largemouth) Lake Stevens (both) Last tip : I heard from an old head working at a tackle shop, that the word around town is that the new state record bass is going to be caught out of lake Shoecraft. Would love to see some videos of you out here!
Is there ANYWAY you can make a video on night fishing sometime this upcoming week around the new moon? I love night fishing and I can NOT find a video good enough to help me succeed during the night like I do during the midday
If you see this please respond I’ve been fussing about 8 times now but I’ve gotten almost 0 bites i have listened to every single bit of advice casting were I’m supposed to with the certain bait but i get nothing do you have advice because i just want to catch something but i also dont really know how to tell if i have a bite
You have picked up bass fishing at probably the worst time of the year, unless you live in Minnesota or upstate NY. Bites are tough right now, but don’t be discouraged! It gets better in the fall. Learn the drop shot, and weightless caffeine Shad (which I discussed in my most recent hundred ponds episode ) and dont put them down
Love the content Tyler keep up the good work! I just made my first youtube video and im hoping it does well! You've been a massive inspiration for me! I hope to be as cool and big as you one day!
You should do a 100 lakes series where you fish a bunch of lakes in the kayak and the boat!
Should
Yes!
If you do that you should try lake Hawthorn in iowa. Some one and their buddy caught 100 fish in 1 day 2 times

I love how Tyler always banks fish kayak fishes and boats fish with and without radar it’s more realistic to a lot of anglers
One of my favorite Bass fishing show thanks Tyler for making it happen and very enjoyable 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
I will never get tired of watching/experiencing topwater strikes. They're so addicting.
For sure man
Really like the kayak fishing man! There’s nothing like it to me.
Super fun!
You should definitely try a wopper plopper. 👍🏻
“andddd foot focused if that’s your thing.”
you are so funny man hahah
Loving the kayak content lately. Keep it up!
More to come!

Good luck landing a giant on barbless! I have no desire to take that chance 😂
@@TylersReelFishingnever had a giant yet. 3.5lb was my biggest. I was just curious about it. Thanks.

Definitely a delicious combo
need a kayak series!
Wake baits near cover can also be an experience! They get that topwater draw but a little more finessey for those hesitant fish.
For sure

It would be great if you could start a new 100 Pond series!

Yes, that’s good for finesse jig. Not for Flippin or normal jig in any sort of cover. Search “TylersReelFishing jig”, got a video that will help
What is the heaviest finesse jig you would suggest throwing on a med fast baitcaster

Yes 10lb braid to 10lb fluoro leader
I’ve caught 10 lb fish on 6 pound mono, what knot are you tying?

Tyler, i caught a nice 5 pound fish 2 weekends ago here in South Africa on a wopper plopper. Insane feeling when they hit a topwater bait.
For sure!
Tyler where do you buy that think that lets you turn your transducer on your kayak?
would you recommend dock skipping for bass with a kayak or is it to unstable ?
Great video and information do you just post thr pictures of the fish
Tyler have you ever fished the PNW? If so what do you think of the quality of the fisheries?
I have not yet but I will next year!

You had no food today. What was that wonderful breakfast sandwich? LOL
😂
Braid to fluoro leader would help your kayak jig hooksets out so much.
Probably true. I need to get that going in the yak. My rods are all kinda mixed up
need link to your fishing tournament!! Thanks!!
Updated! It’s there now

You misjudged the rod angle needed with that big one. Hard to let go of mishaps like that.
Can you come fish in Nova Scotia Canada can you respond if say if say yes
