I love these videos, because it keeps the common folk from buying these beautiful gems. These c63s are more exclusive than we think, unlike f80/82 M cars and now g80/82. These type of videos talking down on them are good to all of us w205 c63s owners. I own a 2018 c63s and I never had any of these issues but I’ll let him tell it 😊
buy a c43 . you can actually use it as a daily driver , flick it to sport plus and open the exhaust button when the need arises on the weekend , as well as comfort mode during the weekday commute . it has all the same tech on the inside , looks just as good on the outside , and your wallet will appreciate the insurance and running costs difference between this and its older brother . had a choice between both and went for the 2021 c43 . no regrets . still have my licence
Not saying the c43 is bad but the looks aren’t the same. The c63s has a widebody that the c43 doesn’t and it’s obvious. The biggest reason to get the C63s is the v8. You can’t compare the two.
C43 can take a beating. Very reliable. I saw a totally dogged out C43 with panels hanging in some places and it still ran good. If you do a stage 1 tune on a C43, it is faster than the C63. Stage 1 tube is still reliable in the C43.
You guys literally named everything and anything can go wrong. As a 2018 e63s owner that is stage 1 tuned from eurocharged. I have zero problems with the car.
Agreed. I believe long-term owners who have these tuned are too busy enjoying how reliable the car is, to write any negative reviews or go on forums for 'issue resolution'.
I have a 2020 and have only had one problem in 35K miles.. oil pump sensor that went out, so they replaced everything. Harness, oil pump, and sensor under warranty.
You need to get your facts corrected. The pre-facelift W205 had a 7 speed AMG Speedshift MCT (multi-clutch) transmission. It was certainly NOT a DCT (Dual clutch). It utilizes a wet start up clutch in place of a torque converter. The facelift model also has the same kind of transmission, only now it is 9 speed. It is still AMG Speedshift MCT transmission. Hope this helps!
70% of the people who buy this car as second hand car buy it to drived Hard and mess around with it and that’s the result of the list you are given however can’t be taking as a general issues of a model of car . If I go in the internet and search issues in any model of car 7 years old except Toyota you probably will find a Ton of complaints . I own a C63S 2016 I am the second owner and I have it for 3 years and I made 54k miles and the only thing I can agree with you is a bit of rateling in the dashboard apart of that is the best car I ever own and not planning to sell it

Engine mounts are between £160-£210 each made by Febi-Bilstein or SWAG from an independent in the UK. I'm not sure I'd call that 'astronomical' although fitting rates might be if you don't live in Eastern Europe!
I love seeing all the faults listed on these very expensive cars. I bought a 2012 Kia Optima in 2014, have had it serviced every 6 months, and have had zero problems. Totally reliable and very nice to drive.
Well said, the known coil pack issue got me,only 30,000km and two have gone at $800aud each set x4,prices should be reduce to cost for known issues, also sunroof rattle drives me nuts, other than that awesome car.
Don't think i have ever watched a review on a car with more issues than this one, I like the idea of it but it just seems to be a gamble finding one that won't cost you a fortune or get on your nerves.
Would a C43 be more reliable and/or less to maintain? The C63 is obviously a much nicer sounding car, but it’s a lot of car for the road and the C43 seems slightly more reasonable
I had a 2019 c43 and loved it. The AWD feature makes it feel like you can be a bit more risky with hard throttle. But after test driving a raucous c63s, I had to make the switch up.
The "Ok I have to do the whole Only Fans style leg spread" comment cracked me up. Love the bit of witt you add to your reviews 😂. On a serious note, you confirmed for me why I'll never own a Mercedes built in this century. Lovely to look at, hear and drive, not to own.
The C 63 S Couple (matt black one) looks pretty handsome (sexy). The M177 V8 bi-turbo does give it unique characteristic, you can't get it wrong, sometimes annoying when the serenity is suddenly broken by a cold start or roars like thunder, I can feel the vibration in air (hey, neighbour, I know you are back / heading out...) lol
As I've said on previous Merc vids the 9 speed 725 transmissions are generally expensive to service. And we'd seen quite a few owners dump these cars at the 3 year mark because the 3 year A service on these is generally eye-wateringly expensive - spark plugs, rear diff oil and the first trans fluid change, generally budget for about $3k from a dealer, slightly less obviously when using an independent.
Love the car definitely one of my dream cars.. great back drop also.. good old rockwood road/ rockwood cemetery.. I live only a few streets away.. keep up the top content 👍
I’ve had a rattle that sounded like the door and headliner and dealer couldn’t figure it out but I found it was the tiny silver ring on my turn signal, so I put electrical tape on the back and never happened again.
I always wanted an Audi S5 coupe (your video on one helped a lot), luckily I got a 2018 C43 coupe for the same price (usually 3-5k more expensive) here in south Austria. Since we have quite a lot of snow the C63 was out of the question budget and drive wise, my coworker has one and complains it cant put the power down, Mine however can, always. Keeping it until I can afford my dream an R8/LC 500 haha
Drove it new, it was a piece of junk rattle box then. Can't imagine one second hand. Good review, but how do you recommend a car that has an after-market list of issues a mile long.
These will become giveaways because out of warranty you can't afford to keep them on the road. Don't be fooled by the cheap buy price that's because the seller can't afford it and wants to handball the problem onto the next wood duck.!
5:05 That's not aero, that's just to meet regulations and compliance, the body must extend over the wheels, if the wheels are wider than the body at a certain width, otherwise it is not deemed as Street Legal.

10:31 some people drive like that and it's actually incredible dangerous. Just imagine if your hand is up there on the steering wheel and the airbag deploys
We have the lesser C43, which is still fun an so far minimal issues, and the full on GLE63. I don't drive the GLE hard so hopefully I will not be stuck with problems.
The words "investment" and "car" do not go with each other. Alot of people i knew jumped and bought these cars for 100k + because they said the value will increase. The values have all decreased and theyve paid thousands in maintenance. Toyoyta Hilux sr5 paid off, now thats an investment
Thanks Adam - I wouldn’t own one because I’m not a Lakemba or Caroline Springs resident - I have seen the SUV version of these in our local regional OTR - he arrived at the pump doing 60k per hour got out with dangling jewellery, Mohawk hair, matching beard and white suit looking like a Los Angeles porn film star - I think he mumbled “youse don’t mess with me cause I’m from the far northern suburbs of Adelaide bro” while he snorted on something resembling baby talcum powder accompanied by duff duff Dubai rumbles from the rear interior - my GC8 WRX was a much smarter buy with appropriate interior compared to this with its awful Hungarian gift shop style.
Mercedes Australia sales are falling rapidly and that's because they are not reliable and cost too much to own out of warranty which in turn makes their re-sale value the worse in class.

@@terrydahl6291 include my Solara (Camry coupe) among those, but not when other people are around.
Not nearly as premium as i expected on the inside...speaking of premium how bloody awesome is Adam, he's gotta be one of the best car review presenters on the planet 🤔
he certainly floats my goat.
I've had my 2018 C63s for close on 4 years 99,000 Miles and no issues. It also has been tuned the whole time, frequent mountain runs and track days. No issue at all with mine.
Also the 2018 didn't come with a 9 speed. The Update happened in 2019
the build qualitycontrol goes down because in the first 2 years of a model line they check almost every car that goes out while after that they only check randomly every 10 cars that go out. Source: Workshop Manager and Dealer of MB
'If you hold the steering wheel like this, you're a wanker' HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I blame Dominic Turredo
The best description that I have heard about modern Merc AMG's is that they are like overclocked 90's computers.
I love these videos, because it keeps the common folk from buying these beautiful gems. These c63s are more exclusive than we think, unlike f80/82 M cars and now g80/82. These type of videos talking down on them are good to all of us w205 c63s owners. I own a 2018 c63s and I never had any of these issues but I’ll let him tell it 😊
I love the sound of the C63, but the handling of the F80, and its beautiful lines are hard to go past.
Quote "I own a 2018 c63s and I never had any of these issues" Fixed this for you "I own a 2018 c63s and I never had any of these issues YET"
buy a c43 . you can actually use it as a daily driver , flick it to sport plus and open the exhaust button when the need arises on the weekend , as well as comfort mode during the weekday commute . it has all the same tech on the inside , looks just as good on the outside , and your wallet will appreciate the insurance and running costs difference between this and its older brother . had a choice between both and went for the 2021 c43 . no regrets . still have my licence
But it's not the Halo car of the range
That would be the sensible option. However, you can't really compare a V6 to a V8, especially for the enthusiasts
Not saying the c43 is bad but the looks aren’t the same. The c63s has a widebody that the c43 doesn’t and it’s obvious. The biggest reason to get the C63s is the v8. You can’t compare the two.
Yeah I thought that too until test driving both. No question that the c63 is by far more fun to drive.
C43 can take a beating. Very reliable. I saw a totally dogged out C43 with panels hanging in some places and it still ran good. If you do a stage 1 tune on a C43, it is faster than the C63. Stage 1 tube is still reliable in the C43.
i know these are amazing but still prefer the older w204 for that brutal 6.2
NA engine!
You guys literally named everything and anything can go wrong. As a 2018 e63s owner that is stage 1 tuned from eurocharged. I have zero problems with the car.
Agreed. I believe long-term owners who have these tuned are too busy enjoying how reliable the car is, to write any negative reviews or go on forums for 'issue resolution'.
great on point honest review❤❤❤... and kudos for being mentioned on trottle house.. with the giulia 🎉🎉🎉👌
The pointer returns! Keep up the awesome work gentlemen 🤙
As a c63s owner I can validate this video. Squeaky sunroof, faded black trim and budget for tires were my only concerns.
Not from aussie nor gonna buy a c63
But still watching cause it's really way better than current TV Shows and comedy shows
while being informative AF
A Dohertys Gym typical car park 😂
I own a 2019 C63s Cabriolet and I don't have any of these issues. Literally zero issues but I guess because I take care of it
I have a 2020 and have only had one problem in 35K miles.. oil pump sensor that went out, so they replaced everything.
The engine mounts are electronically controlled, they have magnetic fluid in them like an adaptable shock absorber. Complex!
I just love how you've been reviewing most cars that I'm looking forward to own lately😊
I own a C63S 2016 I am the second owner and I have it for 3 years and I made 54k miles and the only thing I can agree with you is a bit of rateling in the dashboard apart of that is the best car I ever own and not planning to sell it
Agreed. I find people who call issues either bought from someone who neglected maintenance or just outright disrespected the car.
Much prefer the old style of thumbnails, this is okay but the consistent yellow just suits the channel better. Good stuff as always though
Yes
I almost scrolled past this thumbnail cos I didn’t see yellow
I have a 2015 Edition 1 C63s and only has 17K miles. I take pretty good care of it. Recently paid it off. Plan to keep it for quite some time. Will start posting about this on my channel soon
Engine mounts are between £160-£210 each made by Febi-Bilstein or SWAG from an independent in the UK. I'm not sure I'd call that 'astronomical' although fitting rates might be if you don't live in Eastern Europe!
I miss the guitar solo in-between timestamps you used to do on the videos. Please bring it back
Mine is stage 2 car is bullet proof.
As like most high performance cars runs best at operating temps
I love seeing all the faults listed on these very expensive cars. I bought a 2012 Kia Optima in 2014, have had it serviced every 6 months, and have had zero problems. Totally reliable and very nice to drive.
Well said, the known coil pack issue got me,only 30,000km and two have gone at $800aud each set x4,prices should be reduce to cost for known issues, also sunroof rattle drives me nuts, other than that awesome car.
love the introduction of the pointer lol
Don't think i have ever watched a review on a car with more issues than this one, I like the idea of it but it just seems to be a gamble finding one that won't cost you a fortune or get on your nerves.
Would a C43 be more reliable and/or less to maintain? The C63 is obviously a much nicer sounding car, but it’s a lot of car for the road and the C43 seems slightly more reasonable
I had a 2019 c43 and loved it. The AWD feature makes it feel like you can be a bit more risky with hard throttle. But after test driving a raucous c63s, I had to make the switch up.
I had the opportunity to drive one, and I'm now in love.
New lens/camera? Vid looks great! Cars not bad either
Nice looking car but I feel like it's the car equivalent a dog like an Irish wolfhound. Fun while they're around but will eventually break your heart after a short time.
The build quality is more of a concern than the engine in this car.
Surprised this was today's review car but it was definitely an interesting watch.
Good work as always guys and look forward to Sunday's video as per usual 👍
I’m an Audi guy through and through but I do love the C63
Love you redriven
Love you more
This really applies to any C Class 2015 and up 🤦🏾♂️💯💯, let’s hope Mercedes see’s this!
These things look and sound so good.
Love how you use wanker as an insult. I'm proud of my abilities as an owner/operator.
Great review again mate! Ps. Erebus Origin looking good!
Mate, when are you gonna do c43 review?
Hey Adam, I noticed you’re into your watches and sporting all sorts in the videos. I really like the one I’m seeing in this video. I’m masculine and elegant at the same time. Can you reveal make and model?
Every time I watch these videos,, I’m 100% ready to buy one, then by the time it’s finished I definitely don’t want one haha..😶😶😂😊
10:31 some people drive like that and it's actually incredible dangerous. Just imagine if your hand is up there on the steering wheel and the airbag deploys
You'd give yourself a super high-speed face five to congratulate yourself on your amazing driving!
The only problem I found with this c63 is that the C63S E-Performance exists and shat on the nameplate for a 4 pot garbage 🤣🤣🤣
One of your best gentlemen
We have the lesser C43, which is still fun an so far minimal issues, and the full on GLE63. I don't drive the GLE hard so hopefully I will not be stuck with problems.
You could have made this clip in a minute or two if you just named the things that DIDN'T play-up or fail on this model car.
Top tip. Watch dash cam channels and see if your c63 has made an appearance. It probably has.
Bet the broken rotary damper on the storage hole cover costs $1,100.99 and is a 12 week wait.
The words "investment" and "car" do not go with each other.
Alot of people i knew jumped and bought these cars for 100k + because they said the value will increase. The values have all decreased and theyve paid thousands in maintenance.
Toyoyta Hilux sr5 paid off, now thats an investment
What about the AMG SLS? It's worth over $1M now. What about the Aventador SVJ?
Love the channel mate.
Any chance you can do a redriven review of the Chrysler 300 srt 2015-present model ?
Cheers
Take the engine and drivetrain out, throw the rest away and build an amazing race/street car with that.
great review. one of the best
Would never buy one in Australia, terrible roads and speed limits
As a trimmer who replaces headliners. You have no idea what your saying. $500 nobody would touch it.
I would want an all white one including white grill black accents 👌 white rims with black drum
First time here on this channel, very nice video. It is just me or this guy is the lost brother of actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt?
How about a review of the volvo v40 the hatchback i’d love to oen one been looking for a d4 but a review from redriven would be lovely
Is that an escort on the lift? Noice mate!
The dirty Leb bros have ruined the reputation of this car
Better than the bogan commodores
