Hi guys Just wanted to clarify something. The only F-86 variants that had afterburners were the D/L and the export model K. I worked on F-86Ds from early 1956 until 1958 when we converted to F-104 As and Bs. I enjoy your videos very much as they are down to earth. I am 86yrs old and still fly EDFs. Keep up the good work! Richard Driftmyer CMSGT USAF Retired
Alas, whether the real aircraft had afterburners doesn't seem to matter to many RC pilots. One company sells LED afterburner lights for A-10 Warthog models! 🤣
WOW WEE...I think this is my favorite EDF jet EVER!! Looks REAL, sounds REAL!! AWESOME retracts!! Can't wait to see more of it!! Abby, turn neck warmer DOWN from BROIL to just WARM, you won't burn your neck!! Thanks Saylors for the great ride and SOOOO FUN to watch!! Btw...who is Dale Snodgrass?? 💟👍😘
U for sure picked the best colour scheme.. the yellow one is kinda done to death. This popped up in my notifications totally unexpected about 6 weeks ago. Thought it was fake news! Ordered and got it last month and blown away by its scale and detail. She's actually a large plane for an 80 class. Love the large lipo Bay too. I really didn't need another edf in the hanger but I made an exception for this one. Been waiting on a big sabre for 2 yrs
The speed brake is used for landing, there was a need in the full scale to keep the power up on landing, so the speed brakes and flaps are used and work very well. Nice flying.
Whew!! Thanks for acknowledging the nasty weather! We’ve gotta get a switch that can turn that wind off long enough to fly or something! I need a calm day to fly this again ASAP!! 👍💯😎⚓️
First off I haven't had the chance to watch all of this but you should definitely mention the name of the pilot thats on the canopy. Probably one of thee best pilots in the world, Dale Snodgrass was I believe the highest time F-14 pilot if not in the top 2 anyways. Dont think there was a engine with wings he couldn't fly. Really neat guy to listen to giving lectures. Tragically passed away in a crash, always go through that check list!! Complacency doesn't care who you are or what you've flown.
This actual aircraft is at the Tico Warbird Museum in Titusville, Florida. The name on the side of the canopy is Dale "Snort" Snodgrass. He was the high time F-14 pilot in the Navy and went on to do the airshow circuit for awhile is this actual aircraft, among many others. Sadly he was killed here in Idaho, on his way home from an airshow a couple years ago. He is absolutely a legend in the Aviation community, both Naval Aviation, and in the Airshow Community as well. Great job showing this awesome aircraft to us. One more point, those lights on the tail are navigation, and formation lights. The F-86 didn't actually have an afterburner. At least not as far as I know anyway. But that's a small point. You did a fantastic job on the video. I look forward to your flights with it in better weather. Again, great job guys!!! 🤙😎
Looks a great model. I live in the UK and in the 1950's I used to go to US air bases in England on Armed Forces Day airshows. The Skyblazers were based at Bitburg Air Base in the then West Germany and they performed at airshows throughout Europe and at US bases in the UK. It's great to see this F-86 Sabre FMS model in the Skyblazers team's colour scheme. One point, the Skyblazers F-86's only seemed to fly with 'drop tanks' on for transit flights, then removed them when performing their formation aerobatics. Regards Roger Smith
Ooh! I'm modelling up a Fat-86 in Solidworks right now, to be built up with 2mm Depron flooring underlayment foam. Love the Sabre! It's my current go-to in DCS. This is an exciting model, thanks for bringing it to us!
I hope we will see a second flight soon! anyways, great vid i been looking at it for a few days but its out of stock and probably too difficult for me lol
I think that the A-10 from the other day looks better than this but it is a strong #2 candidate in the looks department (I love that F-16 you did a long while ago too!). I will own a RC jet within this decade! 😂
OK, I have flown in Alaska as a Bush pilot and this was a great video.❤ kudos to you both for making this video, I'm very proud of you both for what you've done and proposed with R. C. Thank you so much for your content. I wish I had enough money to follow you. Hopefully in the future I will.

Great model, I’ve got mine in the Huff scheme. Couple of things, well done for getting out in the cold and windy conditions to bring the video. Lucky you got it down in one piece, too windy for flaps and air brakes It’s not giant though is it! It’s an 80mm so a good mid size to small, the HSD 120mm is giant but even that compared to the sky master 1:5 turbine that’s not giant either 😂 I’m lucky as I have these as well, can never have enough F86’s!! What a great site you have there, you’re very lucky to get such a nice runway. Enjoy and happy flying. 😊

@@feelgooddany i wouldnt go that far i do love that there easy to assemble and always fly great they just need to up their quality control in some area,s
As far as my collection goes, it’s pretty massive. It’s a relative term my friend. Of course there are a few people out there with bigger jets than this, but this is a big EDF, relatively speaking 👍💯😎⚓️
Nice aircraft ...... terrible flying. Far too much yank and bank ........ turns need to be much bigger and smoothed out (please don't blame the wind!). Not sure what you meant about not using flaps because every time you deployed airbrakes on ground the flaps also came down so presumably coupled? (I'm assuming that you kept airbrakes out for landing as you said you'd put the airbrakes out prior to the near vertical dive ...... why !!! .... never realised the F-86 was a dive-bomber!!)
@@joe92 To the best of my knowledge God doesn't fly at our field and the club has a healthy and happy membership ....... so the hobby certainly ain't dying from where I stand???
I’m leaning towards no, but that may not be totally true. I honestly hadn’t even considered it until your comment! I was so distracted and impressed with the air brakes and retracts on this beauty! 👍💯😎⚓️

Freewing avanti best flying edf out their 399$
FMS is so far superior in the final finish and detail than say eflite planes. everytime i order an eflite plane they disappoint me with there lazy detail work and blemishes
The Chinese 🇨🇳 do a good job don't they ...
I sold all my eflights (same reason)
I'm a Freewing Fanboy
@@feelgooddany i wouldnt go that far i do love that there easy to assemble and always fly great they just need to up their quality control in some area,s
@@smesui1799 some do some not so much
And #2 reason: spareparts are always on stock
He does a good job with points of unterest But hes just a average pilot
Thanks for sharing this rude thought that you could have kept to yourself. Smh
Its not massive its a 80mm
Why do u mislead its not massive its a 80mm actually on the smallish side .Not cool
😄
God, there's one of you at every field. No wonder the hobby is dying.
@@joe92 To the best of my knowledge God doesn't fly at our field and the club has a healthy and happy membership ....... so the hobby certainly ain't dying from where I stand???
Looks like the CG might be too far back...
I still have my mamba10 that i purchased through your link years ago. Still rips.
Does it have reverse thrust?
I’m leaning towards no, but that may not be totally true. I honestly hadn’t even considered it until your comment! I was so distracted and impressed with the air brakes and retracts on this beauty! 👍💯😎⚓️
