Thanks dude! It's definitely a tossup between the 6 and 8 cell system. The 6 cell setup is great, but the 8 cell setup is heavier - with more thrust, yet only minimal handling differences between them. Hardly like the Viper 90 which felt sluggish on 8 cells due to all the weight it was carrying.
@TwoBrosRC My Viper currently has the 8S fan that was meant for the Avanti. I will be putting the Viper back to 6S though, as I prefer the lighter setup in her.

Well any jet can do tricks with thrust vector & has the thrust to climb. Question, why do the CG upside down? If jet flies normal most of the time? Been doing my cg normal & landing gear up.
@TwoBrosRC relax John I wasn't attacking you, just a question. Just noticed that people getting into RC in the last couple years Go towards ELRS instead of spektrum.
@TwoBrosRC you're right, I'm truly someone who can't understand tone. It's good we have choices. Insane flying, I can't even fathom making a jet do that.
Yes, but only with thrust vectoring. And we say this as a channel whose logo is the Viper 90 flying a high alpha pass. If the Viper had TV, we'd see a real battle of aerobatic prowess.
My 8s was just too heavy with TV. The lipos needed to CG is jusy too much. More weight than thrust and a heavy character. Im settled on 7s on the stock edf and means I can use any 6s that I may have left over whilst at the field. Such a shame more manufacturers dont bring out a TV option on their jets.
Can't say we experienced it being too heavy. It flew great on TV with 8 and 6 cells. The difference was only perceptible in post-stall maneuvering, and only then during flat spins or other tumble maneuvers.
@TwoBrosRC I'm suprised you didn't notice the extra weight as you are the guy who loves lightness and agility. The 8s fans extra 220g and extra 250g bump from 6s to 8s just wasn't welcome for me on this jet.
Just didn't feel it this time. It was quite odd. Something about the design of this jet makes it less noticeable. Probably the TV system - because without it the jet would most likely lumber around on 8 cells.
Thrust vectoring will require an extra 2 channels on the receiver? Basically, a 10 channel to include thrust reverse? Asking because I've never had a TV model before.
Yes, hence why we're recommending the AR10360T - plus the multi-gyro setup on that particular receiver. Links are all in the description, but definitely hop on Discord and ask for help. We'll gladly guide you through it.
I’m sure the answer is yes, but does the thrust vector have an activate and do activate switch? In case i want to fly without using it half the flight and then activate on the other half? Or is the thrust vector always on while flying and can’t be turned off?
Jon im used to having a flight mode with adjustable gains on the Rknob. Im going to try the throttle based gains you use. Have you got a set up where you can still have a flight mode where you can still adjust gain on the fly by the Rknob? Ps where is your 2nd gyro installed? Thanks
Assign an open channel to the knob, then assign that channel in Forward Programming for the gain. For more info, join up on Discord and ask for help in the #tech-and-setup channel via bit.ly/TBRCDiscord
Oh I know how to use Rknob for adjustable gains. It's how I set up all my planes on FM3. Just wondering if you had a FM like I do but also a FM with throttle based gains too?
The ESC is rated for 8 cells. All you need is the motor linked in the description. The Avanti outperforms Gripen because it was designed as a sport jet.

The setup we posted on Discord has a switch controlling the TV system.
Flight modes in the receiver don't recognize mixes, the mix is always active for our setup.
Quick question, is the foam the same density as the FMS Integral?
Pretty much. All the 80 and 90mm FMS jets are similar in that regard.
@@TwoBrosRC Thanks. The integral really has me taking a hard look at other FMS EDF’s for this exact reason.
I wonder if the thrust vectoring can be used on the viper 90?
Unfortunately not without serious mods. You'd be better off using a third party TV nozzle.
Hello, if I upgrade to 8S ,do I need to upgrade the ESC or just the EDF motor? How is the Avanti 3D performance compared to freewing gripen 80mm?
The ESC is rated for 8 cells. All you need is the motor linked in the description. The Avanti outperforms Gripen because it was designed as a sport jet.
+3 points for using "asunder" in a sentence in 2024...
Weird, I just posted a reaction and small donation but don't see it?
That's strange, definitely didn't come through on our side. Consider trying again maybe? Thank you!
Now hover it. I've hovered the old 90mm Eurofighter.
Will the Grippen hover?
2:37 and yes Gripen hovers, it's covered here: ruclips.net/video/c69ZDEQJt_Y/видео.html
Abnormal and unusual operation.
That's why it's fun!
Woww as3x+ 80 on pitch gain 🤪 serious?!
Yeah. Why?
@TwoBrosRC I don't now how to tune the pitch gain, I'm afraid to put it higher as default 😂
Lower…

Thrust vectoring does nothing for me.
🆗
Thanks
Thank you! 🧡
