    Sheesh! I was a Maschine fan boy like 4 years ago. Had the Maschine MK3, Jam, Komplete Keyboard. Sold them all and went to Ableton with a cheap keyboard. Infinite capabilities. I came here to see if NI would disappoint and yup! They sure did. Stop being lazy and build a DAW that integrates with Maschine flawlessly. All problems solved.

    Wow, I usually don't leave negative comments, but this was a sad day for NI. 10 years we waited for 3.0, and got outdated updates and a project launch with no enthusiasm or excitement. There are obviously some internal issues with NI that is causing the lack of development with Maschine. I'll finally make the jump to the MPC key 37.

      @jkq2006 20 часов назад +2

      @@preppybeatswe don't want a daw! We want a groovebox with modern sensibilities. There are so many daws out there, that's why maschine's approach is appealing. It's so fast to create idea with but would be even faster with automation curves etc. let's hope they can implement such things. Stem seperation is cool but serato samples implementation is more immediate plus there's real time pitch and time stretching all wrapped in one plugin.

  • @NakulKrishna
    @NakulKrishna День назад +90

    Pros :
    - Stem separation seems to work really well based on this example. I didn’t think it would but sounds great. Not something I use but who knows when it could come in handy.
    - bounce in place is a great feature imo, can see myself using this a lot.
    - midi tools are a welcome inclusion.
    Cons: there’s a whole lot of these.
    - no upgrade to how arranger view works? Seriously?
    - no automation upgrades?
    - 3 chapters of 8 or so dedicated to new sounds(completely redundant), integration with another device and a “fully redesigned interface” that basically looks the same.
    - nothing new or interesting, nothing innovative.
    - no modulators
    - no new hardware(to be fair this software upgrade doesn’t need one)
    - no follow actions for scenes, no automatable arming of clips for spontaneous scripted looping performances.
    - no improvements to browsing capabilities.
    Verdict:
    Good thing this is only a $29 upgrade?because it’s honestly barely worth that. Features we’ve been waiting for years are ignored in favour of chasing other companies to include current fad features. Like who thought we needed maschine central? Aren’t there enough sound pack expansions already, why would this even need to be included as a highlight in this already minimal feature list? MIDI tools great, but didn’t see the possibility of even vertical zoom on the piano roll. Where’s modulators? Tempo per scene as featured addition? Seriously? Super underwhelming upgrade and I really hope you guys have a lot more planned for maschine because at this point it almost seems like you started working on this upgrade 6 months ago if that. Expected more with the tie-ups to other big companies. Please give us a roadmap for what’s to come because this ain’t it NI.

    • @sockeye
      @sockeye День назад +2

      Maschine Central is probably there to help subsidize the low upgrade price, with the low upgrade price offered as an olive branch to a long wait time for less than expected updates.

      @@keithwalter506 Ok with that being said, I also have an Akai MPC. 10+ yrs ago alot of people had,owned or knew someone that had an MPC. I have been loyal to Akai since MPC 60. NI offered new fresh drum kits that were already professionally eq'd with fx. Where Akai really didn't do that, you had to put effects on a lot of the kits. So NI was late to the game, but when they came they "showed up and showed out". However everyone is racing to get the best out of their hardware. Since Akai has come out with 3.0 they have had several updates. In time so will NI, give them a few weeks. Especially if you had to pay for the upgrade. NI could have just come out and charge $99 or more but they didn't. And who knows it may go up after the introductory offer. At one time Akai was known as the company that was going down until they were bought out....now look at them! Akai got the same backlash because of Roland back in the day. Before Roland we had Sequential, Alesis..etc.

    I know this might sound like I'm being a bit entitled here, but I really don't feel this being a paid update. Could've easily be a free 2.19 update to be honest, as the Stem Separation is "just" a the same RX application they already added into Traktor as well, so not like it's a tailormade thing for Maschine. Kinda expected 3.0 being somewhat "more", like what 2.0 was to 1.x. Sure these features are kinda nice additions and I bet for some they're totally worth the 29e/$ update price. But for me, as I'm not a "sampling beatmaker", this just isn't worth it, not even with the low price of 29e/$.
    The "tempo per scene" is the only feature that I might use in some projects, all the other are just something I honestly don't need. 2.x works perfectly in my setup and for my use case and thus I prolly will just stick with it until something gets added what I REALLY need. What really disappoints me is that there is absolutely nothing added to make Maschine a better live performance tool. It is already awesome in that and the reason I love it, but there are so many things that could be improved on that area... and it's not the only area where NI could improve Maschine a LOT, but haven't done so.
    This all said, I'm not totally lost my hope as this is at least an opener and hopefully an indication that they are still working on Maschine. So, let's see what they will add into 3.x after a while. But for now, I think this is a pass for me.

    I just bought and installed Maschine 3 - I've two monitors with high resolution (3840x2160). Once I open the software, it almost completely fills both screens/ if I try to shrink it, Maschine has a hard time and hides parts of some of its windows and flickers around ... - so I suppose, the integration on Win 11 PCs is not too advanced...
    In addition, looking to your video and trying to follow your example:
    I dragged and dropped a flac-file, which worked fine- in the video you mentioned just click on "Edit" somewhere on 2:46 - but where is the Edit button?
    In the menu on top, there is a Edit entry, but this one just shows me the "undo load fsound(s)"...
    As a recommendation: there is recording software available, such as Camtasia, which also highlights a cursor movement and even marks the place where you hit a mouse-key, which would be helpful...
