I thought I had done mine wrong because soooo many people were concerned with the shape and neatness of the parts. Glad to know I’m not the only one who doesn’t gaf 😄
Yes sis!!! You are the third loc crush that I follow who said that they do not part their locs. They just did the grab and go method! I'm sold now. Been trying to start my own locs but kept getting frustrated with the parting. I am going to try again! Just grab and go! I do my regular two-strand like that. So why not my starter locs! Thanks gorgeous!
I'm three months loc'd and struggling with keeping my hair and scslped moisturized. I just came across this video and immediately ordered macadamia oil and 360 spray bottle. Thank you!
Yup getting your locs wet regularly is it. When I got my first professional retwist at 5 months she was surprised that I wasn’t farther along and I’m sure that’s because I wash often and keep my hair moisturized. When I first started with a salon set I had 127, two weeks later I combed those coils out and put in two strand twists so now I have 88 and I’m so glad I went bigger.
Love your hair. New to the community, 3 days loc'd and loving it...I'm excited. I'm lowkey considering restarting next month because I think I want my parts smaller because my hair is fine!
I really enjoyed your authenticity in the video... It gave me a good laugh when you spoke about your hair smelling funny lol It be like that sometimes! I JUST started wetting my hair regularly and it makes a WOLRD of difference! Thank you for the suggestions on how to keep our locks moisturized and poppin 😎 🦄 I’m invested now 😂
Your locs are so pretty! And yes, I had thick hair before I loc’d and I personally believe it’s even thicker now. I can only use scunchies or headbands to hold it up. Im only 6 months in.
Girl!! The color, the style, the jewelry, the everything!! I love it! 🙌🏽🙌🏽😍♥️♥️♥️ I can't wait to color mine!!! But I'm gonna wait til it officially starts to loc! But I love my hair so far! 2nd time around & I parted it the way I wanted to & I have more locs than the first time! So I'm excited for my new loc journey! 🙌🏽🙌🏽😍
Great video, another oil that's awesome is baobab, very light and very moisturizing, not greasy, absorbs almost instantly. For rosewater, I get distilled rosewater. That's all I really want to see in the ingredients list. It comes in a glass bottle and all I do is get a sprayer bottle from the dollar tree and use the sprayer top on the glass bottle, works great. I'm in Toronto, so I get my rosewater at walmart or the grocery store in the international food section. Real rosewater can be consumed and is used by many cultures to cook with and to drink. I get a bottle for 2.97 and the fact that it's in glass is a bonus cause I don't do plastic, especially if I'm using essential oils or heating whatever I'm using.
so i just sat down and watched all of your loc videos 🦄🦄🦄🦄 first i want to say to speak on your mom, i don’t want to say sorry for your loss because i know it’s not truly a “loss” but sending you my deepest condolences regarding her transcendence 💕 i love that so many women in your family are on their own loc journey’s & i was wondering if you could maybe ask them questions about their journey, any tips/advice/guidance that they may want to share with people like me want to start a healthy loc journey. i think it’s amazing to be able to have support from the people you love but i’m in this on my own, so i just thought to ask. your locs are lovely btw 💕
Yes, this oil is the truth!!! I came back to comment after buying it and using it for a couple of days. I absolutely love it. Thank you soooo much!!! 🦄🦄🦄🦄
🦄🦄🦄🦄 This was super helpful mamas! I’ll be dyeing my hair soon too & you can never have too many pointers lol. I have 83 locs & will be 3 years in June 19’. They were started by a loctician & she didn’t listen at all. & Now I can notice thinning in the front of my hair due her negligence. 🤦🏻♀️ So I’m DEFFF going to restart my own after I grow out my hair to a certain length 🙏🏼
Heyyyy..u have great energy. I'm a few days shy of 3 months. And lawd it's struggling!! My hair is thinner and the struggle to stay twisted it's real!! I looked at a few of ur videos and am gonna try a few things u do. Wish me luck!!
🦄 first time watching your videos nice vibe young lady. Starting my loc journey soon as this stay at home order is lifted. No more braids just keeping my hair clean and moisturized no combs just using my fingers to detangle. I feel like a kid waiting to go to Disneyland.
Be careful buying some beauty products from eBay, it’s often not legit and can mess your hair up. Speaking from past experience. ✋🏾 If it’s too good to be true, it usually is.
Wow! I use the same brand of oil! I purchase mine a little cheaper in a larger size at Marshall's or TJ Maxx. It smells wonderful! I also use it as a body oil. Your hair color is amazing with your complexion. ❤
Ché Lives lol me either... I used to be when I first started, always tryna make them look neat.. I just don't care anymore.. looks more authentic anyway
I miss my locs and will be starting them again soon... big chopped December 31 2018 but its be calling me back... love the color sista keep shining beloved..how is your mom doing?
I have hair type curls very similar to yours...mine are a little looser. I started my locs a month ago with two strand twists but now they look like regular curly hair...it’s still twisted but my curls have gaps in them like loose curls. What do you recommend to get them to loc properly?
Thanks for the info. You’re beautiful and inspiring. I would like to start locs. Is coloring my hair before a loc a good idea? I will use your regimen to keep them moisturized
Why do you let them dry completely before putting them up? Just wondering if there’s like a reason and if I should adjust? I’ve been trying to keep minimal manipulation to avoid slip so i’ve just kept it tied up for days and spray the hair in the style but will that ruin my locs for whatever reason?
i started my loc journey the 1st of november. and everything i keep reading is confusing, should i not mist my two strand twist with water everyday? is it too early to do that ?
28 views is 28 human beings lol as a small RUclipsr that kinda stung 😭 Anyways thanks for sharing... I’m trying to learn to take care of my locs all 2020. Recently created a spray bottle concoction with oils
I started October 23 so we are around the same progress & Your hair looks so similar to mine & I started the same exact way, 2 strand twists & grabbed random pieces (no comb) . I have 116 🦄🦄🦄
I started my own loc journey a month ago but there are a lot of stringy strands of hair that have separated from my twists and my hair is matting in the back but at the roots. Idk anyone else with locs so I just wanted to know if this was normal and if not how should I fix it without disrupting the locking process of my hair
watch yannie, also hair will do what it wants no matter what you do...the more you leave it alone, the better. Locs are supposed to be very low maintenance.
@@renee4640 np, I learned the hard way to keep it simple....the less products, even oils, the better. I only oil my scalp now, I don't put oil on my locs anymore because even oils can build up. With rosewater and aloe vera juice there's no need.
Your locs look great and that color compliments you very well.
