You could just heat the oil up in the bottle sitting it in hot/ super warm water... also mixing the oils and letting them sit for a week- a month with some fresh rosemary, or some Ayurvedic herbs have been 🙌🏾 for my locs!
I was tempted to leave the oils on my locs too for a week before bleaching/dyeing them. I don’t get why I’d need to shampoo after the treatment tho, I thought the point was to hydrate so wouldn’t washing them only defeat the purpose?
@@kaherigyenyame4817 well when your hair is dirty it helps boost moisture without stripping them when it’s time to wash. But yes if your haír is clean feel free to leave it in
Distilled water, rosewater, peppermint oil put that in an actual steamer like you would use for clothes. You can set the steamer on the table and adjust your head to get in to your scalp you can just lay it on the table throw your hair back part it steam it , part it seem a with the dont put steamer too close to the scalp or you will burn yourself. Make sure it’s turned down to a good temperature. And then once you’re done with that cleaning your scalp and your locks moisturize them with coconut oil make sure it’s unrefined cold pressed and yes you can find those in a squirt bottle. I make my own and put them in glass bottles that I ordered off Amazon. Sorry if there’s typos but I am talk texting so I am super busy while trying to watch your video LOL and you are very pretty thank you for the video 🫶🏼
I don't have locks, but I've tried the first oil combination that you mentioned, and tbh it was the most moisturising hot oil treatment I have ever done. ( My hair is 4b/4c)
Plastic LEAKS do not use plastic products. Use glass when you can. That includes the oils that you use make sure they come in glass, including your vitamins make sure your vitamins are coming in glass bottles. Also amino acids from eggs are way better than avocados. Also be careful what temperature you are heating your oils up to you because it will take all of the good stuff that is in them out and can make them toxic.
I’m definitely going out to the store and than wash my hair l, and try this method! My locs are so dry because of the bleach and my hair been red for about a year now. It’s crazy because I never took care of my locd like this. I’m almost 3 years in and I’m started to experience dryness and breakage. Loved your video! I hope this helps my hair
Same here girl!! I colored mine red an I’m regretting it now. I’ve done a horrible job taking care of the color smh. Definitely trying this video though.
My favorite carrier oils are apricot seed, watermelon seed, and raspberry seed oil. I don't always mix them but they are nice mixed during the winter months. I used them on my face too, and spritz my hair with lavender water. I would like to try the black castor oil thouhh
I just started my locs with two-strand twists 3 days ago and your videos are so helpful! I'm so excited about this journey! Thank you for all the info you share!!
Ok so I loved this video. I immediately did this. Everything you said made so much sense. Currently wrapped up now, can’t wait to see the results! Thank you.
Great tutorial, I started locs this month, first time in my life helpful info on keeping it moisturized and healthy for sure. Even better having this gorgeous creature doing the demo lol
You inspired me to finally get locs. I have big head and fine hair but have always wanted locs. I’m two weeks in with 50 locs & loving the process so far. Question: what brand rose water & glycerin do you use?
I’m about to color treat my locs for my 1 year locaversary 🥳 but I’m trying to research the best ways to keep them moisturized without buildup! I love a good hot oil treatment but would love some recommendations or a video on some of your favorite deep conditioners on your locs! Thanks for all the info 💕
I do mine differently, lol. I shampoo my hair first, then do the hot oil treatment. I don’t do too much. I leave it in, after I seat under a hooded dryer for 30 minutes. shampooing it after to me defeats the purpose in a sense the shampoo is so drying.
I just completed this hydration process, and my hair feels amazing. I thought "gimmick." My locs were hard. My hair can be rough - 4C+ (of course there is no +, but you get the idea). My hair feels soooo good. I will pass this on. Question: The oil that you did at the end, did you heat that also (sweet almond, black Jamaican castor oil, lavender and rosemary).
Thanks for sharing your routine for dry locks. I will use it whenever I find myself in this situation. However, we need to be knowledgeable about oil properties and benefits. Every oil contain fatty acids, it is the type and the concentration of these fatty acids that change from one oil to another. There is NO PROTEIN in oil ! Zero ! No matter what type of oil. Check nutrition facts and labels to see what is the oil. I think it is the same about mineral content (I check for avocado oil and it doesn't contain copper or iron or any mineral. But it does contain vitamin E and vitamin K)
Yeah I read that once coconut oil goes through the cold press process the protein has been removed. I love the hot oil treatments benefits though, great video.
Can ANYONE help me out with this … Put the oil in your hair then rinse it out & then wash it out & put more oil into your hair… Did I get the steps right ?? If so, then I have a question … Why not just rinse & wash your hair then put the oil in it & leave it ??
Can you explain what you mean when you say your hair is sensitive to protein? Coconut oil has never seemed to work for my hair and i'm trying to figure out why. I've never heard of this so any further explanation would be awesome! :)
Thank you for the video.I just started my lock journey and it's been two days..do you have any tips that could help grow them better and how well to care for them
How often do you do hot oil treatments? Has the alopecia resurfaced since the start of your loc journey? I’m 11 months into my journey, and have noticed that whatever thinned out hair patches were in my scalp have become more pronounced... I’m struggling to grow those areas back, can you do a video about how to grow thinning parts of your hair/locs?
Have you watched my second alopecia video on how I cured mine? Also have to been diagnosed with alopecia areata? Because reason I ask is (I am not a physician only giving what I did) you have to make a whole lifestyle switch. Food we eat triggers autoimmune diseases. So you have to give up dairy and processed foods completely and detox your body first. Once you do that it’ll help the issue internally and then topically you can do the oil concoction that I showed in the “cure alopecia video” of mine. Let me know if that helps u

A word of advice: talk about fast hair growth shampoo to double hair growth.
Its my first time waching you.LoveYour locs. May i ask i use Dr Bronner and find it is very drying and stripping .So does it not strip all the oil.
Thanks love!!!
For me it doesn’t strip mine. So I’d say maybe try it less than once a month. Maybe once every 2-3 months.
That black jamaican castle oil do not work on my hair
Can you keep oil on or do you have to rinse
It’s 👀 like u putting a lots of oil on your hair . My hair can’t take all of that oil on my hair

She did and she also washed it with the Castile soap. She then applied more oil lightly after rinsing.
I was about to ask why we need to rinse it out when we reapply after.
My locks became brittle after regular workouts
Thank you I will try this
do you have to wash it out
thank you for the education ❤️
Thanks beauty ✨
How many times did you shampoo your hair?
This time once because it felt clean. Max I’ll do is twice
Dr's say you should not cook wit grape seed oil
Thanks the tips 👊🏿💯
What is your nationality? You are absolutely gorgeous. I love your locs.
Nationality - American. Ethnicity - jamaican mexican

Do you think this would work for my straight hair locs?
Yes if they’re dry!
Your locs don't rot letting them dry naturally?
Well i wash my hair very early and tee shirt method to soak up excess water and then go about my day. It’s hot where I live so when I’m out about in the sun it dries by the end of the day. If they’re still wet I’ll put a blow dryer to them

And Jamaica black castor water
Have you used them products
Yup

What is going on with the colour job??
Black, Brown and Blonde!!! It really does look crisp
What good for dry scalp
Have you ever experienced flat locs, due to sleeping on damp hair since you said you were heading to bed after the wash?
Nope because I towel dry first which helps immensely
And if my hair is that soaked I’ll blow dry it on medium setting with my hand held. I won’t pull at them just let the warm air blow through them
I’ve had that problem, I’ve noticed if I palm roll the loc while it’s soaking wet it goes right back to its regular shape .
Why do you heat the oil?
