Hi Rob! I use the Hero12 and I come from the Hero11. I think HDR and 4k 120fps makes the difference for my MTB videos. HDR make my “forest POV” simply beautiful and the slow motion in 4k absolutely stunning. The possibility of connecting my AirPods is also a good upgrade for me so I can use it for blogging. I sold my Hero11 and bought the Hero12 for 50€ more, it was a deal!
The 4k 120 is nice indeed. But the airpods quality man, its straight up awful 😅 benefit would be stop and start record? Tested the pods myself and yeah, my experience was bad

I think this was a great and very honest look back at the GoPro 12. And I think a lot of people that they were going to appreciate the honesty. Detailed though you seem to have a busy life and this is great that you can give us all this information. . I think what bothers me most about the GoPro experience, particularly in the age of incredible smart phones. like the iPhone is that it’s just a lot of work to get a good result. And my honest frustration is that a lot of the issues I’ve not really been fixed since gopro 7, 8, 9 . Overheating to the point where you can’t use it, it’s really quite a ridiculous issue. Perhaps you could make the argument that an iPhone would do this also, but it removes a layer of the frustration when you can work on a bigger screen and see the results quickly when you play them back. This is also beneficial of the big screen and the fast response of the display. I have to admit that the initial impression an appeal of GoPro that I had some years ago has eventually worn off . It has been fun to use it and I don’t want to give up on it but they really need to tend to a lot of the issues. Further, I would be very interested to see some opinion/debate/statistics on the topic of iPhone use in the wild versus a GoPro .
Thanks a lot man! Personally i never use a phone to shoot videos, even stopped using it to film my kids. I always bring my go 3, even tho the quality is lower i prefer the flat profile and the easy of use. Working with an iphone is to much of a hazzle to make it look reallt good
So, I've been rocking a 9 for a long time now. I've been very fortunate, no issues at all. Worth the upgrade or wait for a future release? Or just go for the insta 360 x3?
Great video. Informative and concise. I've had many GoPros starting way back since the 3. Recent models have had a ton of issues with overheating and corrupting files. I want to get another one but I feel like I'd be a fool to support a brand that has consistently made problematic products the last few years. I saw you had a Insta360 go3 on your hat. How does the GP12 compare to it? Obviously the GP12 probably has better image quality, but at least the Go3 seems to work everytime you press the record button.

Hi, bad as hell, it came with lcd issues, when I try to replay a video, it doesn t work proprely....😢😢😢
