Please note that Horizon Leveling in 5.3K 60 will allow you to tilt the camera up to 27 degrees while still maintaining the horizon. Horizon Lock up to 5.3K 30 will allow you to tilt the camera 360 degrees while still maintaining the horizon.
This is great. What is the SD card capacity you've got there to get 8, 9 hours of recording time?. I know it depends on the bitrate and other video settings. Just wanted to get a general idea. I want to get the highest recording time possible, with a good quality footage. Thanks.

Can u do a video focusing on the Log profile on Go Pro 12? I'v played with it and of course I need to boost the saturation in post as its nearly black and white!!! In some cases I need to boost sat to insane hights just to look normal, and its still under saturated and worsed is anything that moves in the image has an annoying colour ghosting happen behind them!!!!
The Extreme or Extreme Pro have both worked great for me in GoPros. I have not used the Plus before but if the GoPro says it is too slow then I’d recommend the Extreme or Extreme Pro card.
I got the sandisk extreme plus from bestbuys I exchanged it for for the same one because when I bought the first one the sd card looked off to me.. sure enough I went to get the 2nd one and I compared it the color was off on the sd card. Now everything works perfectly
I just bought go pro 12..i cant find that new preset and adjust the white balance. I only have the brightness but not enough not the same what is in your video quality capture
My understanding is the Hero 12 does have a variable bitrate. It could adjust lower if the filming situation benefits from this in accordance with the programming of the camera. If you use the GoPro Labs firmware you are able to set a specific bitrate that is higher than the default setting.
I used to be huge fan of GoPros. But, I stopped using GoPros and switched to DJI. Reason: short battery life. Still don't understand how you guys can run your GoPro on a hike, or bike ride, without constantly running out of power in the middle of action. Regardless of what endless RUclips tests show, my GoPro batteries last about 22 minutes. That is not acceptable in 2024. Unless GoPro addresses the battery issue, I'll keep using DJI.
I own and like several DJI products as well. Action 4 and Pocket 3 are great. When I want that higher resolution and extra image quality I find the GoPro is still my favorite. There’s something about the quality of the image in good lighting that I like best about the GoPro. I expect we’ll see the Hero 13 this September. Hoping to see some big innovation.
I thought this was a HIKING channel because you have named your channel "Great Day For A Hike". It appears you are more of a product reviewer on tech, cameras. The channel name is highly misleading.
I do love to hike and most of my adventures involve hiking while I bring along and test out cameras, tech, and/or gear. My channel name states something I hold to be a fundamental truth: Every day is a great day for a hike. Sure, I could have a channel name that is my name or something else, but I’ve stuck with this one.
@@GreatDayForAHike No problem. I love hiking. I just bought the Insta360 Ace Pro. I am fed up with the GoPro cameras performing poorly on cloudy days. I have had the Insta360 for 3 days. I also use the DJI Pocket 2 that I bought in 2020. I use the GoPro Hero 11 Black Mini on sunny days.

Excellent presentation Thank you for sharing
Great video, very helpful!

Thank you. I have a SanDisk Extreme 512GB microSD card.
Can't I use horizontal lock when using Max Lens + vertical mode?
The tips you are uploading very useful to me. thanks.
how did you bring the ISO and Shutter speed info on the display?

Nice video, but Horizon leveling is limited to 27 degrees, not 45.
Thanks. You are correct and that was a misspeak on my part. I’ll pin that here so it’s clear for everybody.
Hello can i use these set of nd filters kn my hero 9?
Yes, this set of ND filters works with the Hero 9,10,11, and 12.
I have the gopro 12 and i just bought a sandisk extreme plus but it says it too slow.. what memory card do you suggest and will work?
do you already have a answer?

@Livinlife818 Great to hear! Almost sounds like the first one wasn’t genuine. Glad you got it sorted out.
@GreatDayForAHike yea it was a fake sd card which I didn't understand since it was coming from a big electronic store.. atleast they exchanged it
How exactly do you set a shutter speed of 1/192?
If you’re in 24fps, when you toggle the shutter speed slider you’ll see 1/192 as an option for the shutter speed.
@@GreatDayForAHike Thanks!

Is it true that GP12 has a variable bitrate and sometimes goes very low?

I thought on a previous video you mentioned that the ND filter caused problems with Hypersmooth?
Why is the color profile not called Flat anymore? Is Flat and Log the same? BTW i dont own the H12!
Great question. LOG is basically even more flat than the prior Flat profile. LOG provides even more dynamic range to work when grading the footage.
@@GreatDayForAHike thank you
Is that the general rule? Export 5k as 4k for improve footage?
Yes, as long as you set the footage to 4K and cram those pixels into 4K. Many video editors do this by default. Others you have to tell it to do this.
I get blurry video with lot of noise. How to get rid of that? My videos get ruined
So you can't rotate camera 360, and still get horizon levelling

@BigOvlogger Sounds like you have a great mix of cameras. I have been happy with the Ace Pro as well.
