This is the King of sedans, pound for pound. Don't squeeze a better 0-60 time out of that magnificent V6 just let Lexus keep all of its soul and stay the very best at what it does best. Sometimes love comes slowly and I think I could grow to love it. Lexus is always a slow lover. The longer you own one, the more and more you love it. I typically don't like black wheels but I agree this is tasteful with the silver paint. And thank you Lexus for not painting the calipers red. So sick of that fad in sports cars.
My mom is going to order one this week, though not an F Sport. I’m binging all 2022 ES content as a result. We’ve been thinking she needed a new car due to a few reasons so she’s selling a 2012 Volvo XC70 that’s been nothing but solid for her. She did sit in an F Sport and immediately identified being uncomfortable with the highly bolstered seats. I think the car she’ll get is going to be a great car for her and it’ll be her first Lexus. After a string of Volvos and BMWs through the years since 1982, and to varying degrees of satisfaction, I’m hopeful that the entire experience of owning this car is a highly pleasant one. Thanks for the review, Joe. You cracked me up with the Warrant reference. You bring me back, man!
I owned a 2019 ES; the same generation as the '22. I really liked that car, and having owned the new RX, the ES was surprisingly much quieter; no comparison. However, the ES drives like a big heavy boat. It's fast enough, but I wouldn't say it's "fun" to drive. The selling point is quietness and softness.
@@kevinbreese5739 Don't be fooled by the "F sport" badge, it means very little in the subject of suspension, motor, or transmission. It's literally just an option package of exterior and interior cosmetics.
I own a 22 F sport ES 350 and I don't think it drives like a boat (IE Dodge charger), but I have to agree 100% on the lack of the "fun" factor. We got this as a car to use for trips and situations where we wanted comfort, but the car seems to be aimed at a market of much older drivers. The technology is behind in comparison to other brands. People always ask us about our Lexus and we say "it's really nice, until you buy a BMW". But if you know exactly what you want in a car, this is exactly what it's intended to be. And that is a great thing.
Not feasible on this generation. There's not enough room under its platform for both the V6 and the AWD transfer case. The next-gen ES in '25 will have AWD and more horsepower, although no V6 anymore in any model.
Just wanted to say hi from Guam Joe. I watch youtube a lot and you are one of the best content creators for car reviews. Yes Lexus reliability is amazing just test drove a used 2007 model and it ran like new compared to a 2011 BMW 3 series which had an acceleration delay when stepping on the gas. I can't wait for your "ON THROTTLE OF THE IS 500".
Great review, Joe. I wished it had these features: 1. 360 degree camera 2. Digital controls for heat/AC for rear seat passengers 3. More horsepower and torque 4. All wheel drive 5. Massaging seats My '21 Audi A6 has #1, 2, 3, and 4. It is also more sporty-looking. I get it that people who buy a Lexus are looking for reliability in a luxury sedan. Since the GS was discontinued, folks like me looking for a sedan are "looking" at the ES. However, I do not think I will be switching to a Lexus anytime soon.
Well despite the fact those things would make it a more "suped up" ride, you're missing the fact that they're giving us a naturally aspirated V6 engine with over 300hp, long term reliability, and lower depreciation than any of the vehicles you target for the features you mentioned above. Lexus is not competing as a race car, it's competing as a premium car.
@@MikeBlue77 not everything is about looks,. People who value, reliability and best resale value would get the Lexus despite not being the best looking vehicle in it's class.
Good review as always. Beautiful reliable smooth as butter luxury car I prefer the non F sport trims cause this is a luxury cruiser not a sports sedan.
I've owned two brand new Lexus ES 300H cars; a 2017 and 2018. 242,000 and 142,000 miles respectively. Ultra reliable, no issues whatsoever. I did change the transmission oil every 50,000 miles. Lexus is known to be conservative in their disclosed 0-60 time. Real time is several milliseconds quicker. The Hybrid is super fast off the line due to the electric motor. This time however, I'm going with a white on white ES 350 F-Sport! Can't wait to own this car! Thank you for the review! The overall refresh in this 2022 model- especially to the cockpit technology, is worth buying versus the 2019 model.

Great review… wife owns a 2019 white (black interior), es350 f-sport. Wrapped the chrome window trim and roof in gloss black. Took out the wheel gap with RS-R lowering springs… nice stance now. She loves it!
I've owned German cars and Japanese cars, primarily. I sold off my last German car in 2004 and never went back. I prefer reliability and serenity. Lexus is still the king of those 2 preferred qualities.
The chrome isn’t dark around the windows for the same reasons this car isn’t REAR drive. This car sells extremely well because you can afford premium brand and it is reliable!
My wife already told me to buy her that one!!! I really loved it!! Thank you guys for the great job and information! Simplemente los mejores!!! Siempre los imitan mas nunca los superan!!!!
Can remember when the ES was a midsize and now with the vehicle size inflation, its now a full size. So that would mean the LS is now super size? Sizing should have remained where it was in the 90s and early 2000s.
I went to car show yesterday and seen this in person 🔥 white with the red interior don’t even get me started on that center console man😂😂😂😂😂 I was about to pull a fast and furious
A review for a great car. I think when Toyota/Lexus hear people say, "I ain't buying the ES350 cause it ain't got AWD" or "they killed GS so I won't buy the ES350", Toyota/Lexus says "ok, don't buy it, you are not part of the target market". I think if these are the predominant criticisms for the ES350, and not the reliability and longevity, Toyota/Lexus will take that and keep running to the bank.
Have the 2020 mode. Love the car. It has a smooth & fast acceleration. After a 14hrs road trip, I was ready to drive another 10hrs... haha... Highly recommend this vehicle.
@@dude-yg9ez It actually loses traction really easily with FWD though. More so than other FWD cars, which here in the NW where it rains a lot (i.e., more opportunities to more easily break traction on slick roads) is a deal breaker. I think it's begging the question to suggest that you're not "supposed to be flooring" this car. Sometimes you gotta goose it.
@2REAL TV You don’t know what you are talking about. The ES is based largely on the Avalon. It hasn’t been based on the Camry since the 5th gen and we are at the 7th gen now. While it is true they all share the same TNGA-K platform and 3.5L V6 engine, you can say the same thing about nearly all the new Toyota and Lexus. Guess what other cars use the same engine? The Camry, Avalon, Highlander, Sienna, IS, RC, ES, GS, and RX all use(d) the same reliable 3.5L V6. The RAV4 and NX also use the TNGA-K platform. Are they the same as the Camry, Avalon, and ES? If so, nearly every single new Toyota and Lexus is the same then.
Why do people knock cars for not being another car. Lexus has always catered to comfort, the smoothest ride and reliability. Period. They didn’t make it to be sporty so they shouldn’t get criticized for not being that.
I always say this but whoever invented the two way opening for the center console deserves a Nobel Prize 🤣

My break time always for Raiti’s Rides🤟
Cheer up guys
That is so wonderful! Thank you for letting me share it all with you!
Perhaps we wear our cars like clothing. Choose wisely. Love that Lexus quality.
You are so very right about that Toby!
“I only have two legs and two arms”😂😂😂😂
Thanks for picking up on my jokes!
You forgot to write the end - Joe Raiti 2021
I wish you would stop putting your 2 hands ALL OVER the car. On the hood, on the lights, on the trim, on the doors...
Thanks for sharing that great ownership input!
@@RaitisRides when is the 2023 lexus es 350 f sport coming out also will we get a new infotainment system
Yours probably wasn't an F-sport, which is the subject of this video.
Since the GS is discontinued, they should bump up the horsepower for the FSport and make it AWD.
Agreed 💯
💯💯💯💯💯💯
Not feasible on this generation. There's not enough room under its platform for both the V6 and the AWD transfer case. The next-gen ES in '25 will have AWD and more horsepower, although no V6 anymore in any model.
Ok this has to be the one. It just checks all the boxes on my list!
With the cancellation of the Toyota Avalon, I expect the sale of these ES models to jump considerably. Priced right for good value in this class.
I miss my 2002 ES, so many good memories in that car
Great review, Joe. I wished it had these features:
1. 360 degree camera
2. Digital controls for heat/AC for rear seat passengers
3. More horsepower and torque
4. All wheel drive
5. Massaging seats
My '21 Audi A6 has #1, 2, 3, and 4. It is also more sporty-looking. I get it that people who buy a Lexus are looking for reliability in a luxury sedan. Since the GS was discontinued, folks like me looking for a sedan are "looking" at the ES. However, I do not think I will be switching to a Lexus anytime soon.
Thanks for that great list of points Mike.
@@MikeyBadabingBadaboom The ES is still a boring looking car, IMO.
@@MikeBlue77 not everything is about looks,. People who value, reliability and best resale value would get the Lexus despite not being the best looking vehicle in it's class.
@@Mrmanbirsandhu I never said it is all about looks.
Thanks for sharing your ownership input.
For $37,000 you can get a Camry 2021 with all these features PLUS full panoramic sunroof and a much greater MPG using the same V6
And the Camry has folding seats, whereas the ES doesn't.
😃 Field Day! Brings back memories...thanks for all the old school flashbacks during all your videos! Sharp looking watch, what brand is it?
You and your wife are an awesome team!
You always give the best reviews anytime i want to buy a car i check your review out and then make up my mind.
Appreciate the hard work!!
ES 350: My chassis has been around since 2019! Toyota 4 Runner: Hold my beer Needs AWD though, work on it Lexus, still passing on this Lex-Camry-Us
LMAO! This is so very true!
Why Camry? Shouldn't it compare to Avalon?
@@kevinxu9435 This is around the same size as the Camry. The LS would be compared to the Avalon since it is larger.

LEXUS = LUXURY & RELIABILITY 👍
I’m still waiting for the price of the 2019 to go down 😁,I’m back on forth between es350,Avalon touring,stinger,g80,k900,2.0 accord touring in the use market 2019-2020!
Get the 2019 ES.
Stinger gt2 you wont regret it!
Great review… wife owns a 2019 white (black interior), es350 f-sport. Wrapped the chrome window trim and roof in gloss black. Took out the wheel gap with RS-R lowering springs… nice stance now. She loves it!
A picture is worth a thousands words. Lol. We want to see it.
This guy and his food storage 😂😂 good job joe. Love your reviews bro!
Thanks for letting me share the cars and some laughs with you.
I love my 2013 Lexus ES350. Probably the smoothest and most comfortable car I’ve ever driven. Not sporty but comfortable.
Just wanna say waz hannin to Joe the greatest car reviewer!!!
Hey brother man! I appreciate you having my back!
I've owned German cars and Japanese cars, primarily. I sold off my last German car in 2004 and never went back. I prefer reliability and serenity. Lexus is still the king of those 2 preferred qualities.
Lexus still means luxury with sport 🏁 👍
They do a pretty good job at the balance.
Remote start: hit lock key three times, hold it after the third time until parking lights flash.
I want to see the dashboard at night on luxury vehicles if you can add that to your presentation! I love your style, thank you
At long last. Lexus has updated their dreary interior, especially on this top-end model such as the 350. Very nice indeed.
Man i wish we had this powerful petrol versions in EU, not just the hybrid one. Amazing car. :)
This dude is hilarious 😂 I had to sub
Clearwater Lexus baby, my home turf! Love you Mr Raiti
There should be an ES F with the Tundra’s twin turbo V6.
Can remember when the ES was a midsize and now with the vehicle size inflation, its now a full size. So that would mean the LS is now super size? Sizing should have remained where it was in the 90s and early 2000s.
Agree
The LS actually has less interior room in total cubic footage than this ES. It's very space-inefficient by comparison.
Out of all the bands he could have said he chose Warrant. Love it!😂
Thanks Andrew! Remember the Cherry Pie video?
@@SUPASLY75 Wrong person and band.
I went to car show yesterday and seen this in person 🔥 white with the red interior don’t even get me started on that center console man😂😂😂😂😂 I was about to pull a fast and furious
You are hilarious!
I wish they offered the panoramic sunroof on the f sport trim
A review for a great car. I think when Toyota/Lexus hear people say, "I ain't buying the ES350 cause it ain't got AWD" or "they killed GS so I won't buy the ES350", Toyota/Lexus says "ok, don't buy it, you are not part of the target market". I think if these are the predominant criticisms for the ES350, and not the reliability and longevity, Toyota/Lexus will take that and keep running to the bank.
This vehicle is perfect. My ocd is crying tears of joy. Only zonk for me personally are the ugly reflectors on the rear bumper
Great video I have Lexus LS 430 2003 never had a problem now it was time to buy ES 2022 call eight
it's a great car! I love how it handles and the technology updates
I was expecting close to 100K i was shocked when he said it was around 50k
in my country its 80k lol
i just love this car overall , is this the black line edition ?
I just bought one! I’m picking it up tomorrow! So excited!
Very nice review! The car is awesome! I have a 2021 ES350 F Sport and it rocks!!!
That is so very awesome! Congrats!
Bring back the GS! ES is still for old ladies.
Have the 2020 mode. Love the car. It has a smooth & fast acceleration.
After a 14hrs road trip, I was ready to drive another 10hrs... haha...
Highly recommend this vehicle.
An AWD system (with the V6, not a four-banger) away from greatness
This settles for extra goodness. A compromise, to stay off the Lexus LS' toes
I totally agree with you! If this had just a little more performance it would be great!
It doesn't really need awd, you're not supposed to be flooring this car, that isn't what this car is about
@@dude-yg9ez It actually loses traction really easily with FWD though. More so than other FWD cars, which here in the NW where it rains a lot (i.e., more opportunities to more easily break traction on slick roads) is a deal breaker. I think it's begging the question to suggest that you're not "supposed to be flooring" this car. Sometimes you gotta goose it.

They do hold their value. That is for sure
@2REAL TV Camry is not the same as the Es Lexus. The Avalon is the ES Lexus.
If so, nearly every single new Toyota and Lexus is the same then.
good to see Lexus is still naming their cars after the engine placement. Not like Benz and BMW who numbers are all over the place now.
Very Nice Review Joe!!!!! I Totally Love The Brand - New 22' Lexus ES350 Through.
Great review and I would love to see a review comparing hybrid to nonhybrid version in terms of handling, power performance, MPG.
Some corrections: switch the reverse camera to the wide-angle view.
Toyota keys have remote start by pressing and holding the lock button three times.
Why do people knock cars for not being another car. Lexus has always catered to comfort, the smoothest ride and reliability. Period. They didn’t make it to be sporty so they shouldn’t get criticized for not being that.
