One thing I really love about this model is when you get in and out after driving, not only does the steering wheel move up, but the seat goes back making it easy to get out, and when you get back in and start, the seat moves forward. That’s pretty cool. The multiple ways to drive/shift is cool with 8 shifting, Love it. The touch screen and speak option is way better than using the touch pad from the 2021 model. Overall, this is the best model yet. Except one thing, my favorite silver paint option is no longer available. But have to add, the vibrations in the steering wheel if you drive on or over lines is cool, plus it also tracks info and lets you know its time for coffee. I can honestly say that this is the best safety vehicle with comfort around hands down. 👍
This is a superb car and I just purchased an ES300h, 2022 model, in North Carolina. It has 18" wheels which are awesome looking. They have Bridgestone Turanza all season radials. But not performance radials, thank goodness; those are expensive and wear out fast. It is not an Ultra Luxury but does have the wide 12 inch screen and Mark Levinson sound. So, it has everything I need including an HUD (heads up display) and yet is around $4000 less than an Ultra Luxury. It even has the feature where I can kick under the rear bumper and open the trunk! Ha, instead of kicking tires anymore, you can just kick the air under the trunk!!!
Just traded an Avalon for a new Lexus ES 350 for two reasons. More insulation for road-noise, and lane tracing assistance with follow-up distance assistance. Both objectives are met better than I expected. The Lexus salesperson did not exaggerate the driving assistance and said that it is not nearly as good as Tesla. However, it satisfies my needs. Tesla is out for me because of service issues. I am counting on the Lexus reputation for service. I understand Lexus is working on new improved driving assistance called "Teammate". I will be in line when this is available.
@@AskJakeit’s awesome, and the best in my opinion, but you have to experience for yourself. I wonder what 2023 will be like, since 2022 had everything in this model.
The full range adaptive control is technically a budget autopilot system. I tried it on my friend's Venza 21, and it makes driving in traffic or long distance so much more comfortable.
One correction on the adaptive cruise control if you stop in stop and go traffic for more than a second or two you do need to hit the gas pedal to get back up to the speed set or speed of the traffic. Also if for some reason you hit your gas when using adaptive and go over what you are set at if the traffic in front all of a sudden drops way below what you are set at the system can’t compensate and you will have to hard brake. The Tesla model S I had always gave a warning that you have the gas engaged when the autopilot was on. Perhaps a good safety feature could be an audible warning. This happened to me as I was set at the speed limit plus 3 and came upon a car going under the speed limit and I moved over into the left lane and normally I always increase my speed to match the left lane as to not become an obstruction as I pass and of course the traffic jammed to a halt as I was passing and got the collision warning and had to brake hard.
@@johnross8614 You just need to hit RESUME in Adaptive cruise control after it stops !! No Gas pedal, No Brake !!! Just hit Resume !! You obviously have not driven the car !1

Hey Jake. Of all the ES trim packages, which ones feature acoustic laminated windshield and side glass front and rear? I assume ultra luxury does but what about the other trims? Also, note to Lexus: Does the dash HAVE to be all black? The previous generation had seat matching tones on the dashboard.

All of the ES models have Ultraviolet (UV)-cutting, acoustic glass front windshield, and Water-repellent, Ultraviolet (UV)-cutting front-door glass and UV-cutting rear-door glass. But you have to go to the Luxury package (and up) to get the Water-repellent, Ultraviolet (UV)-cutting and acoustic front-door glass.
I hate to hear it because of my timetable I can’t get a new ES for about three years but I hear the next GEN one with no longer have a six cylinder 😫 do you have any insight on this Jake? Thx!
Overall it was a good video however you did not specify if the rear seat is heated and ventilated also can we open the trunk with a cake if you have your hands full
Thanks for the critiques. I’ll make sure to cover that next time! This one does have a Kick Sensor on the trunk, but no ES models have heated or ventilated rear seats
Does this ultra luxury ES 350 NOT have heated & ventilated rear seats? My Avalon Limited has that feature. At the 2:54 mark I noticed this luxury car on the driver’s side has only two accessory features but there is a place for four! An ultra luxury car that’s still missing some features? Maybe this model isn’t a fully loaded model and they hoped no one would notice..😉😉 Still a beautiful car though!
That's correct. Not heated and not ventilated, and you're not the only one who finds that omission a head scratcher. Some features were left out for the US that are available in other countries. Not only this, but also rear seat limo-style controls. I think they were trying to stay close to the previous gen's price point ($40k to start, $54k loaded) while adding other features, but it is odd.
Yes. Good observations. I'm thinking that they also left some to be desired so that they could differentiate the ES from the LS. Where as the Avalon is the largest/top model for Toyota, the LS is the bad boy for Lexus.
Thanx very much for nice vedio. Thanks for watching! I have heard from many of my guest who are older than me, that they like getting into the NX because they don't have to stoop to get down into the car. They just slide in. Also, in my opinion, the steering and handling on the NX is VERY nice and easy to use. Watch this video I made about the NX (ruclips.net/video/f9BxKg-5pyk/видео.html) What I do like about the ES, is that it is very smooth and luxurious. The NX will feel more sporty/modern. If you can wait, I would say wait for the NX, unless you really like sedans and that luxury feel.
That’s a great question. I have seen Lexus use that same 4 button system on the NX and the UX. The best answer I have for you is that this ES has every option I can think of, so those blanks really are just place holders. On the NX, that’s where you would see the Auto High Beams, locking differential, heated steering wheel, and pano view. But the ES doesn’t have locking diff, and the other features have different locations throughout the ES
I'm still driving the 2007 ES350, it has 140K miles on it and it's still as smooth as ever, not planning to trade it in anytime soon. I suppose 2022 model will last well into 2050 for anyone who buys it. Lol!
You all are very lucky, because as you I have a 2007 ES 350 with 93k miles and I spent so much money fixing it. At the present time, I have to replace the CYLINDER BRAKE MASTER and the ACTUATOR ABS TOTAL COST= $ 4,724.54 because the pedal sinks to the floor. I just changed the ALTERNATOR for almost $ 2,000 at Westminster Lexus shop..
I have a nice 2020 ES 300h premium. I will upgrade to the Ultra Luxury model within a year. The #1 thing I hate on my model is the horrible audio 10 speaker system. If the Mark livistion 1800 watt 17 speaker audio system sounds good it will work. Plus I do want the 10 way seat. And the sun shades are nice. Lexus should do a better job on the brakes for the hybrid. My Honda hybrid brakes work better then the Lexus I'm surprised on that. I have considered updating my audio system but rather have the 1800 watt system.
I have a 2019 es300h and brakes are pretty good imo but then again I came from cars that didn’t have good brakes to start off with lol have the luxury package and sound system could use some more bass but other than that everything is crystal clear with sound
Gorgeous car, except the in built navigation is still outdated. Apple car play helps fill the gap, but Lexus should offer a better nav for 2022 for a >45k car.
I definitely want to buy an ES350 in the near future. Leaning towards the Ultra Luxury especially considering I will be keeping the car long-term. Never understood why the "Ultra-Luxury" ES350 does not have heated rear seats when the much cheaper Toyota Avalon Limited built on the same production line has it. Nevertheless this is a beautiful car that's my only gripe.
@@AskJake Hi Jake, this is Mitch from Freeman Lexus in Santa Rosa, Ca. Are you absolutely certain? My ES300H Luxury does not have it, and I haven't seen this feature on any ES. It does have the auto dimming rear view mirror however.
Because they are offered on the 2021 IS 350 with the Dynamic Handling package, I’m 95% sure you can call your Lexus Dealer’s parts department and they can get one for you and program it for you
Nice review! This car is a sweet ride. Did I notice a CD 📀 player under the A/C controls? The Lexus brand is very popular in my area. Greetings from Dallas, TX, USA!!
Thanks for asking. They do not have extra padding in the seats on the Ultra Luxury, but they do have semi-aniline leather and a unique stitching pattern. Yes, the windshield and the front side windows are what they call acoustic glass and make it much quieter in the cabin.
I was about to purchase a ES350 from you guys in April but you are not a part of Capital One Auto Navigator. I ended up getting one from CarMax 2017 ES350. My next Lexus is going to be as LS500. Once the Recession hits and these prices come down. I wish Lexus would make some of these features Standard. 😕
Two different issues. They aren't heated because cheapout. They don't fold down because for 30 years, all ES's have replaced the fold-down seats of the Camry/Avalon with an extra trapezoidal brace for structural rigidity that only leaves enough room for a ski pass-through.
Yes. Also, in my opinion, I think they leave the more luxurious rear seat to the LS 500, since it is the flagship, and must be set apart from the other sedans.
In the car business, there is a rule of thumb that for every $5,000 you finance it equals $100/mo on your payment. Also, interest rates are pretty crazy so it’s hard to ball park it. But, let’s say you’re financing $50,000 your payment will be about $1000 give or take
Also worth mentioning: The tire is a compact spare, but the well under the trunk floor is big enough for a full-size wheel and tire if you choose to add one.
I have a feeling when Lexus goes to the twin turbo engine you’re going to see a lot of people bringing their cars to the shop. The reliability will be gone.
They did a remodel in 2019 which changed it from having about 50/50 wood and leather. But as you can see in the video, there is still wood trim on the wheel, it’s just more decorative and subtle, so your hands feel more leather than wood.
Nice, but il keep my 2014 UL es350 anyday. The dash in these are horrible looking. The only thing I like about the 2022 is the front grille and all the new amenities, like the newer pano roof how it's larger and not separated like the older models. I'm not a fan of that sharp body line going down the side.
The dash and infotainment doesn’t look good in this car. I should have more integrated into dash and better luxury look up front. Other than that, it looks good.
Sure does! This is copied from a part of my training material: Ultraviolet (UV)-cutting, acoustic glass front windshield Water-repellent, Ultraviolet (UV)-cutting front-door glass and UV-cutting rear-door glass
One thing I really love about this model is when you get in and out after driving, not only does the steering wheel move up, but the seat goes back making it easy to get out, and when you get back in and start, the seat moves forward. Yes, the pano roof is an added option
@@AskJake thank you.
Only thing this doesn’t have is heated rear seats. Don’t know why they don’t include that as an option.
I hear you. I believe it has to do with setting it apart from the LS 500... or maybe to keep the price point lower.
Thanks for watching! Email me if you need more info jmotsinger@nashvillelexus.com
The avalon is bigger and better. For less
@@grubthomas4826 Next year is the last year for Avalon. Very sad. I have had 2 and loved both.
Oops, I meant this year! 2022 is the last version of the Avalon. Very similar to this Lexus.
@@grubthomas4826 No. For less, yes. "More," only the seat heaters and folding mechanism.
Why would they go backwards with the key fob.
Not sure what you mean, but thanks for watching!
Does this car have the auto dimming exterior mirrors for headlights behind you?
It sure does!
@@AskJake Hi Jake, this is Mitch from Freeman Lexus in Santa Rosa, Ca. Are you absolutely certain? My ES300H Luxury does not have it, and I haven't seen this feature on any ES. It does have the auto dimming rear view mirror however.
Can i get one of those smart key card for my 2021 is350 ??
Because they are offered on the 2021 IS 350 with the Dynamic Handling package, I’m 95% sure you can call your Lexus Dealer’s parts department and they can get one for you and program it for you
Hey Jake how you been ? Clicked fast . Also any news on NX? And thanks for everything?
Doing good. Thanks for watching. Still no news on the NX 😕
Hey Jake, Do you have 22 300h F sport in white? Must have triple beam, rear shade, hud, and nav 12.9 screen. Thank you
Can you email Ccleaver@nashvillelexus.com. He can help you find what you’re looking for 👍👍
Nice review! This car is a sweet ride. Did I notice a CD 📀 player under the A/C controls? The Lexus brand is very popular in my area. Greetings from Dallas, TX, USA!!
Yes sir! Still has a CD player :) Thanks for watching!
ES has come a long way...
Thanks for the comment!
Hey Jake ... Is that a CD player? Thanks
Sure is! Single-disc
@@AskJake good for Lexus! Rare item on a vehicle now. Glad they still have one. Thanks
Great video sir
Thanks so much for the support!
What’s the MSRP of the model you reviewed?
$55,725 Thanks for asking! Most of the time I’ll post the MSRP in the description.
I just fell in love with this thing I do not want to let go of my 2011 but got damn this video makes it hard lol
Thanks for enjoying the video!
Is there a massage seat? ❓ ❓! 🤔
Thanks for the question! There are no massage seats available on the ES. You have to go up to the LS 500 to get those
Does Ultra Luxury add padding to the seats? I've also heard the glass may be more insulated in order to make the cabin even quieter. Is that true?
Thanks for asking. They do not have extra padding in the seats on the Ultra Luxury, but they do have semi-aniline leather and a unique stitching pattern. Yes, the windshield and the front side windows are what they call acoustic glass and make it much quieter in the cabin.
@@AskJake Thanks for the detailed response.
@@PetesProjects0 Thanks for watching!
Does the 2022 ES Ultra Luxury come with fog lights?
Great question. Actually the Lexus ES doesn't have fog lights on any trim level.
Can get ultra luxury for 2022 es 300 hybrid?
Yes I have one
Is the engine 2grfe
Like in 2013 rx350
ooo that's a good question. I'm not sure where to find that answer
what a handsome car (& handsome man lol) 😆 loving this 2022 can’t wait to get em at my work dealer
Thanks for watching!
Is the panoramic glass roof only available in ES 300 luxury? I was planning of getting the ES 300h F Sport but not sure if that was included
Un fortunately they don’t put the pano roof on the hybrid. I was told it had to do with the increase in weight
This video looks like it was shot with a filter on?
All natural sir! The new iPhones may have an automatic setting that I don’t know of… but I didn’t add anything
I hear you. I'm glad you're part of the Lexus family!
Jake can u please show a 2022 LS 500 lexus and how much was that ultra lexus u just showed u didn't give us a price
I usually put the price in the description. $55,725
@@AskJake thank u so very much
Great video!!!
Thanks so much!
Nicevlog! Great presentation. The aesthetics of the car is completely ruined. The earlier Lexus front grill was more refined.
Thanks for the compliment!
The back up camera quality of lexus is bullock cart class!
Thanks for watching!
Where can I find one? I’m tired of going to empty lots
I hear you! it's hard to find. Just keep looking and call ahead
Thing I don't understand in this beautiful car ?? There is not even heated or fold down seats in the back ?/ I Dont Get It !!!!!!!!!
Heated Rear / Folding seats are a Luxury now ?? Wake Up !!@@AskJake
What’s the monthly payment for 5 years with no down payment with excellent credit score for this model? Just a ball park figure.
In the car business, there is a rule of thumb that for every $5,000 you finance it equals $100/mo on your payment. Also, interest rates are pretty crazy so it’s hard to ball park it. But, let’s say you’re financing $50,000 your payment will be about $1000 give or take
Does this car come with replacement tire?
Yes it does
@@AskJake I know you mentioned it but didn't actually see the tire. So good to know. Damnit... This is THE japanese luxury sedan.
@@jupatj24 Thanks again for asking the question!
I have a 2017 ES and hope to get one of the last ones 22/23 that has 3.5 V6 like mine. Not a fan of turbos or 4 bangers.
I hear you. Hopefully Lexus will do it better than everyone else!
great review for an excellent car.
Thanks for watching!
When will it be available at the dealership? This white with “brown” interior is what I am waiting for. Cannot wait to head up to the shop
It’s available now! Email me at jmotsinger@nashvillelexus.com
Ah man ...when did they get rid of the woodgrain steering wheel?
I meant change
They did a remodel in 2019 which changed it from having about 50/50 wood and leather. But as you can see in the video, there is still wood trim on the wheel, it’s just more decorative and subtle, so your hands feel more leather than wood.
@@AskJake I wonder how hard it is to change that... I've gotten use to the look and feel of my current 16s steering wheel
What time will the 2022 lexus nx be sold?
We still don't have a production date sadly. But keep watching. I'll let you know as soon as possible
@@AskJake Yes. Thanks . By searching on RUclips, I have not yet found anyone who does a test drive of the car. We are very excited about it
@@AskJake,when is the IS 500 coming out??
@@4nlover635 Still no new info about when the IS 500 is coming out. We still can’t see any being produced at the moment.
Thanks for the comment!
The dash and infotainment doesn’t look good in this car. I should have more integrated into dash and better luxury look up front. Other than that, it looks good.
Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for the review very cool vehicle but trim is out of my budget
Thanks for watching!
Does it have double pane windows ?
Sure does! This is copied from a part of my training material:
Ultraviolet (UV)-cutting, acoustic glass front windshield
Water-repellent, Ultraviolet (UV)-cutting front-door glass and UV-cutting rear-door glass
I want this car.
Same!
