I personally enjoy El Toro more, with that said. Kingda Ka has definitly earned it's status as the tallest fastest coaster in the world. It is violent and the G-force and speed are real. It is exciting from the start to the finish. As a veteran coaster rider it's not easy to admit that I screwed my eyes shut on the climb the first time only to open them and face the insane corkscrew drop LOL! But now I have tamed the tiger and can no hands it the entire ride (redemption 4-sure).

guys xcelerator at knots is so much cooler, it might not be as high or fast, but it uses lap bars instead of those stupid over the shoulder restraints giving lots of airtime and a feeling of flying.
In fact the only way to get a thrill like this is 1. Aircraft carrier fighter pilot 2. Drag Racing 3. Sport bike Motorcycle. This is the closest some of us are ever going to get to a rocket ride!
If you visit Great Adventure, the only reason why one would wait usually hours to ride Kingda Ka is to say "Wow, I conquered the tallest, fasted coaster on the face of this planet!" I rode it in 3 different visits - the week it was first introduced, with a handicapped person (skip to front of 3 hour line), and once to ride the front (wasted hours of fun time). Want to know something. El Toro, Nitro, and Bizzarro are so much fun - the coolest must ride coasters! This Big Daddy is over rated.

If you get to the park exactly when it opens and go straight to this coaster before any others, you might not have to wait at all. That's what I did and I was on the fourth train. That was at 10am. By 2pm the wait was up to three hours. Hope this helps. Have fun.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Cedar Point vs. Great Adventure. This will be argued til the end of time, but the bottom line is that Six Flags Great Adventure is THE best park because they have El Toro, Kingda Ka, and Nitro. Nothing beats that trifecta (yet).

i waited on line last night for 3 hours. and it was definetly worth it. people told me that when it first came out the wait was 7 hours.
