it happened to top thrill dragster when it had an exact momentum to bring the train to a stop at the top. it was funny. the funny thing is, there were old people on the train. lol.

almost every rolllercoaster is made by the same company so yea no need to hold a record of who makes the fastest and tallest record cuz its only gonna be one company beating itself. and we all know that rollercoasters probably will form that are taller than any other. it will keep going on wether its speed or height or both
Six Flags didnt steal anything... Intamin AG in Switzerland Designed both Top Thrill Dragster and Kingda Ka. Intamin AG set out to out-do itself... The fact that the two rides are very very similar is because the same company designed them.

absouletly ring racer will be the fastest coaster (as of june 11th. 09)..... i wouldnt see it hiting 200 mph........ i give it 15-20 years before that happens

Seriously though... to all those who like to complain that "Six Flags stole the design from Cedar Point" you couldn't be more wrong... And also... Who cares? So what if similar rides exist in separate parks? God... people look for just any anything to complain about...
I've ridden both Top Thrill Dragster and Kingda Ka. Although Kingda Ka is 8 mph faster, it doesnt feel any faster... and although it's 36 feet taller, it doesnt feel any taller. All in all, i'd say TTD is better because A.) it's the first to go over 400 feet and B.) unlike Kingda Ka which uses over the shoulder restraints, Top Thrill Dragster uses only lap bar restraints, which are alot more comfortable and freeing for the rider... and it makes the ride more thrilling.
top thrill dragster was not the 1st to hit the 400 mark, superman the escape at six flags magic mountain was technically the 1st to hit the mark so stop braggin like it was wen it really wasnt
i disagree the credit should go to intamin, the guys who built the rides not to some overrated rollercoaster on a deserted island in the middle of nowhere

efectively, its a larger Stealth, its got all the same apart from the full roll on the drop, its got the same brake placements etc..
