- The Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro drivers visited Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the theme park centred on the Maranello marque. It is located on Yas Island, the venue which hosts the nineteenth and final round of the Formula 1 World Championship. Felipe and Fernando arrived in the Emirates on Tuesday night to bring the curtain down on this closely contested season and today they were taken to the Scuderia Challenge, an attraction in the park which allows people to tackle a simulated lap of the Yas Marina Circuit at the wheel of a 430 Scuderia Challenge car. Four journalists were in attendance, Ottavio Daviddi of Tutto Sport, Stefano Mancini of La Stampa, Laurent Dupin of TF1 and Julien Febreau of Europe 1. These men were the top qualifiers of a competition held yesterday for the international media.
The two drivers were bubbling with excitement having just experienced the Formula Rossa, the world's fastest rollercoaster. "Really incredible," was the unanimous verdict of Fernando Alonso who won the first race on the simulator and Felipe Massa, at the end of the breathtaking lap. "Thanks to this attraction, all lovers of speed, like us will be able to experience, for once in their lives at least, the unique sensation of being launched into the air at 240 kilometres per hour, as well as enjoying what is a truly great day for all real Ferrari fans."

I'm not as smart as you, so I thought that it would just kill anybody who got on the ride and was careless. I thought that's why the theme was red - you know, to mask the blood of countless innocent victims of a theme park ride.

I love how after the initial G-Force from the start both Fernando and Felipe just relax and enjoy the ride like its a Sunday drive.
Granted they would be used to the start when launching off the grid in their cars, only difference is they are normally wearing helmets so won't feel the wind on their faces like they do on this ride.
What even funnier is that they both seem to be speaking in their normal languages yet still able to understand each other and while Spanish and Portuguese do sound similar and share alot of words, they are two completely different languages.
It is a sunday drive for them. During a race they experience much worse G forces working on them than even the initial acceleration part for 1.5-2 hours straight. The only uncomfortable part is that they don't wear a helmet while their face is getting buffeted by 200+ km/h winds.

@@gulfcoastbeyblades2192 They're F1 drivers, and f1 cars aren't enclosed. Before 2017 (i believe), there was no halo which meant the driver was fully exposed, but even with the halo on the car they're still pretty much exposed to the air. But yeah helmets make a big difference and f1 cars are faster than the coaster anyway.
Actually, Portuguese sounds like a mishmash of languages to me that makes my head spin.
Me and my sister rode this back in 2017. No joke it is the fastest coaster I have ever experienced! In the beginning you're going so fast you can't even breathe normal, I was literally gasping for air and started freaking out. As the ride continues you eventually settled down and enjoy the rest of the experience. We loved it so much we rode it multiple times!
Alonso propably went on another lap to catch his wallet before it hit the ground.

That was crazy experience, I went there two weeks ago and sat on front seat , I loved the ride to an extent that I rode it twice and also rode highest roller-coaster in ferrari world twice , if you go to uae then go to Abu dhabi's ferrari park for sure !!!!

I went on this ride in July 2011 and before going on we were told we had to have our head against the seat at all times and when it begun going fast my head just wouldn't stay against the seat... I literally thought my neck was gonna break!! So scary but amazing at the same time...
