On a clear day/night you can see both New York and Philadelphia if you look the opposite way. Since I use to live near Philly, whenever I got on Kingda Ka and reached the top, I always yelled out "I CAN SEE MY HOUSE FROM HERE!!!"
I have to say, after having experienced both Top Thrill Dragster and Forumla Rossa, this launch really took the breath out of me. It really packs a punch.

After a woman waiting in line got brain damage when a piece of metal fell off of a train, Cedar Fair have said it is shut for 2022, but have chosen their words very carefully and not specified when or even IF it will reopen. Disappointed that I never got to ride it.
Unpopular Opinion: Although Dragster is a much smoother, more complete experience (with the little themeing)- however I actually liked Ka more. That launch had my soul transcending out of my body, got tunnel vision on end of the track- blinded by the sun on the way up then hands up for the way down! Just amazing! 👍🤘

I just rode this four times on Saturday. What a rush! Though if I ever ride in the front or second row I plan on bringing goggles. Funny thing is you're half way up the tower before you realize what's going on. Also it's quite bumpy just before ascending the tower and just before the brake run. Fun nonetheless!
Amusement part always gives me this giddy feeling and has for years. I feel like a little kid again. The only other thing that can do this for me is music. You know bands like Delta Parole, that music takes me back the most.

I rode Zumanjaro the other day on July 28th after having a little hiatus but when I found out that Zumanjaro and Kingda Ka can run at the same time I went back on and as I was going up Kingda Ka launched to the very top and the ride was shaking quite a bit it was so weird but very cool

When this ride first opened, you would end up waiting 6 hours to get on this ride. And that's with all 4 ride lines opened. When the park opened it's doors in the morning, you had everyone waiting for the ropes to be taken down. When that happened, practically everybody ran the 4/10 of a mile to be first in line for Kingda Ka. It be so many people in line that the rest of the park was wondering where is everyone? It was ashamed to tell people that everyone is in line for Kingda Ka.
@@hi.goodbye2167 It is a very awesome ride. I've ridden Kingda Ka over 60 times, in one night 12 times in a row. The reason for 12 straight times, it was a little raining and it was a small line of guest waiting to ride. They needed some of the crew for weight balancing for some of the other guest riders. So I made myself comfortable in the back row so other guest can ride.

Kingda ka is 0-128 mph in 3.5 seconds and climbs 456 feet in the air and drops 418 feet down for those of you that didn't know 😄😄😄

it's new this year. they added big overhangs on the gondolas to protect riders on Zumanjaro from falling objects
