Nobody does this. Nobody talks dollars and I never understand why. Thanks for laying it all out bare. It gives people a chance to try to understand what a dream like this takes.

First things first. God bless your wife for having your back. I don't keep track of how much I have spent/mispent on my 61 (I don't want to depress myself lol) but I estimate its probably around the same amount. I lucked out and bought a lot of stuff pre-covid so I got lucky there. I always joke with my family that another 100,000 dollars into the car and I will be halfway to being finished.
Congratulations on the completion of your '60 Chevrolet Impala convertible. It's impressive that it was built by you, your wife, and friends, in your garage/shop. Thank you for documenting the build as well. This is definitely a learning tool for anyone building a classic automobile. Most importantly I appreciate your sharing the cost of the build. Although not inexpensive, the cost to completion is far less than what a reputable shop would charge/cost. I say, "building a classic car is not for those faint of wallet". Not only is it expensive, but (as you stated) it's a commitment. Congratulations and thank you again for sharing your build with us all.
Congratulations to you, the Mrs., and the #GetItDoneCrew on the build! Way to stay with it and digging deep. Thank you for all the tips, transparency, and motivation and we look forward to seeing the other upcoming builds. ¡Pa'lante!

Love the car and this video, really cool when you show and brake it all down like this. A couple things worth mentioning is learning new things by doing them yourself and the satisfaction afterward.
