Do you guys think i did ok for $1800 bucks? ALSO HIT THAT SUB BUTTON!
That's not a bad price for that car! They only did that body style 2 years. They're hard to find and if you do They're not in that good of shape.
In missouri? Yeah that things a steal!!!! Im 3 hours from ST louis i see them listed fpr $3000 with no drivetrain.
You stole it. I am going to need to borrow that lucky horseshoe you have for your car purchases
The tool for the rims are a must!!!!!! Remember on some Daytons they have left hand threads for one side. Make sure you replace all you studs with upgraded hardware. do not skimp on the wheel studs please please replace them all. THEY WILL SNAP OFF!!!!!!!!!! Ask me how I know lol
Damn good deal. What's the plans for it when it is done?
Make sure to put a Chinese food take out menu in your glove box and put it on your windshield when you park.
🤣 that's classic bro
I wanna see that god dam warrant.
😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
@@skynetgeneral4030 lol bro said I didn't know you like to get wet tho! Lol bro yall killing me 👍 😆 ✌️
This is freaking awesome man. I've always loved that Monte in training day. About 20 years ago when I was a teenager I had the opportunity to buy a 78 Monte, it was white with a fresh 305 and it had red velvet interior. The car almost looked brand new. I didn't have a job at the time and there was no way in hell I could come up with $1,500. Still to this day every time I see one of those I think of the one that slipped through my hands. Can't wait to see it finished
1979 Monte Carlo was my first car and I still own it!! Good car
My Aunt Rita had the “Exact” model 78’/79’ Monte Carlo (also black) and it was so beautiful in those days; I remember riding in it alot as a teen! The 80’s were “The Good Ole Days!”#80’s#Chevy#MonteCarlo#TrainingDay#🤘🏻🔥❤️
Fun fact, transmission fluid a common swap for hydraulic fluid in loading docks. Brake fluid is a hydraulic fluid so it will work. I'd have never thought of it until just now though.
im from Mississippi lol been doing it for years 😂🤦🏾♂️
Casey! A G-Body Monte?! HELL YEAH! So stoked for this build! Keep those videos coming!
Hell yeah Casey. This is goin to be one badass ride once your done with it. So cool to see someone finally doing this iconic ride.
I’m excited!
This was the first car I ever drove. My grandma had 2 MCs. Lots of love for the 79’ Monte Carlo
If you don’t know already, the adapters usually come in red and white. Red goes on the passenger side, white on the driver side. The one you showed had no color, it should be stamped what side it goes, same with the Knock Offs, they will be stamped too. The KOs in the movie are bullet KOs smooth or sometimes called dome, the most common you find are diamond cut. Tires, beside 5.20s, typically they’re 175.70.14 or 175. 75.14. Get some chrome cleaner and should bring back the shine. I prefer Eagle One Chrome Wheel Cleaner.
I WAS GOING TO MENTION ABOUT THE ADAPTERS BEING PASS SIDED AND DRIVER SIDED LOL.....
Those “brackets” are bumper shims 😊, this is going to be a great build .
Cheers
At least the tilt steering is still tight. That's a mess you don't have to dig into. It's crazy cause I can remember when that was at most a $500 car. Definitely really like the body style.
Those columns are cake to rebuild. They get loose from people hanging on them.
@@anthonypesqueira7540 When I tightened the ones in my Blazer, I could only get to two of the four bolts. It didn't stay tight long.
I've seen bags make cars hop now. I'd go bags too if it's gonna be a driver.
Excited for this build! And make sure adapters are on the correct side they should tighten towards back and losen fwd 😎👌
I already love it. I work on '71-'76 Impalas and Caprices-and am a big time 70's car lover. This is gonna be awesome!
Excited for this! Grew up loving the lowroder scene. Had a couple lowered '76 Cutlass' on wires but couldn't afford hydros
I have and bought new in 79, a monte carlo silver w/ black buckets. was able to order it back in the day so it is a T-top ,posi rear end., gauge package, always garaged and covered. My 45 year old BABY! Good luck with yours.
That has always been my favorite Dream Car. 79 Monte. Love the curve of the quarter panels.
I'm stoked to see this finished! Always loved that monte from training day
I purchased this same car earlier this year. I love it 1979 Monte
Love that car! Specialy because if the look and of what IT look like from the movie! 👌💪🔥🔥 Cant Wait!
Super excited for this build. Such a clean car and dope pick up on the rims. New subscriber here🙋🏻♂️
I’m so excited to see how it turns out . One of my favorite cars !!!
😂😂😂😂 man this video funny and very real nothing scripted good content💯💯💯💯 1st time watching and definitely subscribe
Casey: "Yeeyee, we're building a RUclips channel!!"
His neighbors: "Hey man, are you the yaywho that's been chirping brodies and screaching tires around my neighborhood?"
Love this channel and this the first video I’m watching NEW SUB
Sweet, Ive got a blue on blue 78 and a red on red 79. Truly the gbodies and training day. The bunch of metal plates in the truck are shims. usually used to align fenders, noses etc
I wish I could go back in time wen I was young and buy all these cars that are now classics...I am obsessed with old GM products..i have a old GMC SAFARI van and I adore it
Hell yeah man. Between the Stang and this Training Day build I'm def sticking around.
My first car was a 78 MC. Then I had another G-body 81 Cutlass. Love those cars and I’m here for this build.
Way to go awesome giving a monte a second, third and fourth life. Thx for the content good job sir.
Man it takes me back to walking junkyards in the 90’s. Cars like this for daaaaaayyyss. I’m in California, so you know they were in awesome condition. They just went out of style or wouldn’t pass smog tests
First video I’ve seen of your channel. I’m hooked. Love the Monte Carlos. Great body style. Good stuff. 🔔
Love your video man! Your a hilarious guy!! Can’t wait to see the next video
Love this build. Super excited. awesome.
Wow this is my favourite car from the movie's, awesome! I love classic American cars, such a shame we won't ever see their like again.
That was a killer movie and a great movie car find .
I had a 78 mc, man I wish I could find it and buy it back. Mine was identical to the training day car except it was candy apple green with a tan ruffle top. Most underrated car for a Lowrider.
Cool vid! Loved the training day lowrider!
Love the builds I had a m.c. can hardly wait to see you shine that up like a diamond in the rough lol
Hey Casey greetings from Columbia Missouri another great video thanks
I
OH hell yes you did great
PEACE ☮️ and God Bless
Wow, transmission fluid in the brake system 😮. I looked at a 90s F250 last year, asked to check the radiator - full to the top with rust colored clay/mud - crazy.
I'm from LA...love your style and your enthusiasm...Hell Ya...subbed!
Hillside por vida homes 😆
One of my favorite movie cars, can't wait to see how close you can get to the real car
Can't wait to see part 2
Really awesome protect
Hell yeah man! That things gonna be badass! All time favorite movie car! Will have one eventually!
The mid video danger ride, earned my like and subscribed!
Can't wait to see how this ends up.
78, 79 and still turning corners, awesome 👍
My mom had one. Pearl white. Can’t wait to see the build
Wow that’s awesome 👏
Good luck with MC. Love that body style my body had one in red with hydros
I’m in Springfield MO and Speedway is so close most times it’s a next day delivery for me too. Love the new build. I always liked the Training Day Monte.
I know you are just test fitting the wheels . Just keep in mind when you are doing the final install of the wheels the nut should always tighten towards the rear of the car. I would usually tell you to install the white ones on the drivers side and the red on the pass side but it looks like someone painted all the adapters gold ? Cool build man I've been looking for a Clean 79 for a long time .
So awesome!!! One of my dream cars!
I just added you on Tictok. Watching the Monte Carlo video and following you now. Just seen your from St Joe. Kansas city here.
Enjoyed the video!!
Awesome! I got on a similar buzz when I saw the movie years ago. I bought a 79 black Monte Carlo from El Paso Texas and imported it to the country I live, in New Zealand! It’s the only one registered in the country here. I put on gold Daytons and airbagged mine too. I’m getting all the chrome redone with gold at the moment and giving it a respray for a mint finish. Hope your build goes well
Casey you keep getting lucky doing your search for parts sweet deal on The rims just don't forget to replace all the studs for reinforced ones the stocks will sheer off, and you also need a sunroof you can get it from a 2006-2008 Monte carlo or Impala lots of videos on you tube on how to get it and install it, a friend and I installed one on his 86 Regal it came out perfect.
I’m excited for this build
As the owner of an '82 El Camino, I agree, these 80's cars are usually pretty beat to hell. But yeah, welcome the G Body club, brother!
My first car was a 79 Monte Carlo it was a POS but it was mine and gas was cheap when I got my license keep making these videos man you provide memories dreams and inspiration
LOVE THIS F'N CAR!!!!!!
Damn, I’m looking forward to this build!!!
Awesome choice of car, way to go!!!
Monte Carlo training Day movie card build? Subscribed! Thank you RUclips for dropping me here.
Damn dude, that's one of my favorite movies... And that car is awesome!
We just watched training day last night pumped about this build
Caseyyyy bro you the fucking man! I just came across your videos an bro keep up the great custom one of a kind builds. Looking forward to see what you do next Brother !!
My parents had one when I was a kid, 305 v8 with 125hp and a 3 speed automatic.. was actually a really good car..
Sweet Monte
I had a 2nd gen Monte Carlo which I loved but the 3rd gen has always been my favorite.
Although I wouldn't make a 78 a 79 myself we are working on the same car. I can't wait to watch your progress. The 78,79 and 80 are hard to find parts for. No one seems to make parts for it.
Exellent purchase can’t wait to see how this project will come out. Like always big shout out to you from Mexico buddy
Man i thought you said. This is the original car from
Training day...
What a Crock...
Waisted my time. Hearing you talk bout a lousy every
day junk yard car
Dope body lines..on that monte carlo....sweet find
1/2" air line and it will pop up fast similar to hydraulics.
Very Cool !
Looks like it might have a new life. The 70 to 72 is my favorite
New sub and I’m her this build let’s goooooo
Make sure u run 175/70/r14 tires there cheap on eBay and Amazon and the correct movie size. 175/75s look a lot bigger and give a different side wall then the movie car
Dope man
The tool for the rims are a must!!!!!! Remember on some Daytons they have left hand threads for one side. Make sure you replace all you studs with upgraded hardware. do not skimp on the wheel studs please please replace them all. THEY WILL SNAP OFF!!!!!!!!!! Ask me how I know lol
I had a 79 blue just like yours and I miss it like no tomorrow 😔 but thanks for doing this lots of memories
21 years ago, my family sold my late grandma's beige 1987 Monte Carlo coupe with 74,000 miles (a 14 year old car with 74,000 and the maintenance schedule was on time). It was sold for $2700 and converted to a lowrider. There was a family dispute for the car, but I bring it up because my neighbor down the street dead and he has a collection of cars and a motorcycle I'm willing to purchase from his estate.
Heck yea
Make shure you put an old skool System 3 amps with a touch screen video audio and navigation
I’d put 18 20 wheels Open and higher wheel arches
Don’t donk unless you put 1100 hp engine
You my good friend just earned you a new subscriber
Real talk bro this has got to be the slickest ride when you're done with it.
Love to see it finished
Gorgeous car👌👌👌👌
Always wondered what happened to this awesome ride good luck with this great car
Man that’s gonna be sick. It was meant to be when you found those Dayton style rims. 🤘🏻
Man I love the car from training day!!! This is going to be awesome!
The car and the wheels are a steal . Any Montes around me are around 5k and up and the wheels are usually 500 and up and not usually that clean so both are a win win . Oil that driver door too lol
Just subscribed, I want to see this build brother! Love that 79! Training Day is dam good movie! 78, 79, who cares.... lol 😂😂😂
I love it I just might get me one !
Man I hope you make it 100% like the movie iv bin wanting to get one to do that so bad

Great build bro gbodys for the win 🏆!¡
