Dalton, you buy the worst cars, and WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOU FOR IT. Don't ever change, or you might lose the shop!
Drinks a lot Dalton has been my favorite super hero. But dumpster fire car buying Dalton is the best!!!!!
Spot on comment, well said.
A statement as true as that could only come from a certain "jag" owner
Well said
Definitely losing the shop!! 😂
That sounds like a Morske repair saying LOL. Can't believe Duff Dog isn't out barking at you right now ha ha. Love the comment my friend God Bless have a good one.
Dalton, I’m not gonna lie, seeing cars with more hole than car be revived has legitimately re-sparked my mechanic drive. I thought my Cobra strut towers were beyond saving, but the Holey Goat, Silver Dollar Chevy, and this glorious adventure remind me that rust isn’t the end. Just get out and drive it! Keep up the fantastic builds!
JD: “I just want to thank whoever engineered this”
Dalton: “Yeah, well, they’re dead at least.”
Love the banter whilst renovating cars. Pure gold. Thanks for an awesome video PBG!
Smirt azzes.😂
That part killed me! 😆
Dalton is quickly becoming the new roadkill, at least the good episodes of roadkill that were entertaining.
Those guys wouldn't know what to do with a $2500 budget
@@PoleBarnGarage Your budget included two cars!!! Good job. Nice SkyIndian!
@@PoleBarnGaragethey did put a motor home engine in a charger, they spent probably less because they hacked literally everything on it lol
Aaà wawa q@@jamesaiello9787
@@tnc7399 Good luck getting a '68 Charger and a motorhome for under $2500, unless someone upstairs just likes you.
Sometimes dalton appears to be the human personification of 4pm on a friday, and i love it
Wasted?
Holly crap...best sentence ever
Sometimes?
@@PoleBarnGaragethe 2 words that always come mind at 4 pm Friday, fuck-it 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
JD is a throwback. Anytime you ask him to do something, whether he knows how or not, he always just says ok. Great attitude
JD is the son we wish we all had, at least those of us who are over 50 with no kids.
Dalton, seeing this video has revived my spirits. I have been hospitalized since October 18 of last year and been unable to work on my 1964 Buick Riviera. This video has given me the additional motivation I needed to get out of physical rehabilitation so I can start wrenching on my Buick. Thank you Brother for staying true to yourself. 😊
🤣🤣 Dalton's Neighbors: "Think he will ever work on a car that will have exhaust?" as he drives by doing burnouts
My grandpa told me when he was a teen he bought two 55 Chevies for 50 dollars a piece. One bad body great drive line, and one blown motor beautiful body. THIS is what it's all about buddy 🤘🤘
Wonder what “bad body” actually meant back then!
Wish Pole Barn Garage existed before I wasted 30 years trying to build everything "right" instead of cutting directly to the enjoyable part.
I know right?!? All the time “getting it right” and one could have been driving and enjoying it!
I am enjoying this newer trend of hot rodding where cars aren't built "perfect", but instead built to run and be fun.
Right? It took a while to understand rod knock means I had fun lol
People ask why I'd put a dump truck 366 tall deck in my Camaro. Well it was free. Free is good. Then they say you know you're gonna blow it up with those turbos and nitrous right? Yes. Yes I do know that 😂.
I always enjoy your videos. The wife asked "Why doesnt he just take one car and fully restore it, instead of half assing it"
I explained thats the whole point of his channel. You dont have to fully restore it to enjoy what you built. Most guys out there dont have $40,000 garage set ups. Dalton is just a regular guy like most people.
I nearly spit my coffee out at Jess saying, "Arts & Crafts"! 🤣🤣🤣
The smashed read end makes me laugh everytime 😂
Wish Pole Barn Garage existed before I wasted 30 years trying to build everything \
Please do a budget body work and paint on this car. This car definitely deserves it. It's awesome!!
Videos like this are what keeps me coming back to this channel. Just having fun in a shop with a low budget, still making cars you can rip around in without selling your left kidney. This is the side of car RUclips I love. Keep it rolling y'all.
Right of the tip of the bat, the Mopar style hood scoop added 25 to 30 horse to that old Pontiac motor. 😂😮
And its awesome to see the family engaged and appreciate the low dollar engineering. We aren't all made of money and i hate the youtubers that forget who or what they were or came from. Cheers from Ohio
Yea not seeing someone reach into their um "parts bin" for the new engine and brakes and such they "had lying around" because that shit always annoys me.
Man I love the low buck club! Thanks Dalton!
What dose it give you?
@@mcgrawmadness5990 You get member exclusive live streams from time to time that non members do not get access to. Most weeks Dalton will post the weekly content days in advance. For example non members are just now seeing this video. As a member I seen it a full two days in advance. Not to mention he is very good about having more interaction with low buck club members than you’d otherwise expect. It’s well worth the dollar a month. Not to mention it helps him be able to afford more parts and pieces that contributes to him making the best content possible for us.
Secrets to the universe
That headlight bezel in the outro is comedy gold! Remember that you'll regret teaching your wife that cars xylophone feature.
I'm 62, and your show brings back memories from when I grew up in the 60s and 70s. These cars you work on, are the models I dreamed of owning when I was a teenager.
😎👊🏽✌🏽
With a new radiator, exhaust, and some additional floors, you'll be fully set. Especially exhaust. I love the low buck club because I needed this today.
Best buck I spend every month!
I would definitely buy a shirt that says "let's put a self tapper in it" Great job Dalton and Jess for the entertainment and build.
Love this channel FOR THIS REASON !
Real budget ! There are lots of great CarTube channels but eventually they get really big and the content becomes unrelatable.
Just when I was getting bored of scrolling you come to the rescue!!!!
Thanks for laying rubber before removal from the Pontiac, PRICELESS! After watching to the end, my vote is put the car back together with all the parts on the inside and outside on hand. Then show how to make it better with your friends, family and other invited youtubers and have some fun along the way. I hope all is well with Codey since there has not been much action on his channel, I miss seeing him in action having fun. Great Job! It is so fun to watch both of you working together finding ways to make things work and have a blast. Thanks
Dalton you're an inspiration. I take this entire video as proof that you cannot polish a turd, but you can roll one in glitter ❤
I would absolutely love to spend a weekend with you working on those old classics.
You have got to be one of the most honest car guy I've ever seen. Please keep them videos coming.
"Fiddle Dickin'"? Haha, never heard that one.
I've been known to say Diddle Fkkin
Not from rural Missouri?
It's about time Dalton you've been baiting everyone with the Buitiac monster lol. Love it and I haven't even watched it yet
You, junkyard digs, and a few other select youtubers i watch religiously. I love your creative funny old school content. So informative too. ❤😂
33:00 I have never been so motivated in my mechanic life than in this moment. Chills Dalton, chills. Nuff said.
The hardest workin guy on RUclips!
Eh.. This is play to me
Your explanation of what the channel is all about is the exact reason why I subscribe. I also enjoy that you do it as a family... Just a regular family that I could live next door to. Thanks for taking me along for the ride!
Your neighbors must love you burning down that road on each project you work on !
It's the Puick....cool! Been a pontiac fan for yrs. Bought my 69 gto in high-school 31 yrs ago. Picked up my dads 67 lemans from the St. Vincent de Paul for 600.00, 1 owner who had it till she passed away. All original with a 326 and a 2 speed. Then added a jim butler 474 stroker with a th400 and a 12 bolt. Was a blast 2 drive, had 13.1 compression and ran on 110 octane erc, did glorious burnouts and ran mid 10's. My dad is currently redoing a 65 buick skylark convertible and doing the everyone LS swap 5.3. It was sitting in a shed in kansas for many many yrs, was original including drive train, had the 310 wildcat and someone had added a th350 and tossed the 2 speed. If it was me id keep the 310 wildcat and 3 speed. Was yellow and now is a gm blue metallic, really nice color. Just toss on a buick air cleaner and ur good 2 go.
Dalton, you're the reason why I decided to sink money into my 94 S10 after the wonderful TBI injectors caught fire. Watching you make stuff work with low buck stuff gave me the confidence that I could do the same, and I have. It now has a 600cfm 4bbl holley on the top of it, running off 4 wires along with hopes, dreams, and miracles and the lowest budget of leftover parts, gauges and electrical stuff (old harnesses make great scrap wire)
Excellent!
Also sorry for specifically making fun of s10 trucks in this one 😅
@PoleBarnGarage it's all good, I do the same 😂
Glad to see this and love the analogy of hoarding I'm 32 and have 6 parts trucks to fix 1 squarebody but I kept buying em cheap n running em till they broke or died and now I've accumulated a junkyard n parts stored everywhere
Awesome find! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing you do more with it! Me and my dad are currently working on his 71 skylark 2 door. We followed the same philosophy and found a 300 dollar 455 and stuck it in. It's definitely been a fun car . next is paint and body we will do ourselves! Enjoy the Channel. Keep up the good work
Love how you're lookin' out for the simple fellers just looking to get it running! I did that with my dream car, '69 impala. Bought it as a cheap roller, has a 366 tall deck from an 80's C60, trans from my buddy, interior from my Carprice. It's hella fun!
I'm SO glad I found your channel through Kevin. I'm not a mechanic, but I love learning and seeing you guys work your magic. I'm 55 and to see guys 30 years younger than me absolutely killin' it on every build, knowing everything about old cars is like looking behind the curtain and seeing the Wizard of Oz at work. I truly enjoy seeing you and JD work together. Your bond is strong says Yoda.
Dalton Chip Foose should hire you as his SEMA BUILD MASTER as your DOG SHIT REBUILDS are FANTASTIC here’s no one on RUclips can match the pure skill you have at spending nothing $0.00 but getting a gem from something no one else would look at keep up the grate work your my favourite Buddy all the best from here in UK ENGLAND Royboy in Yorkshire England UK X
And I thought I was the only Brit watching Dalton 😂
@@lettuce984 lol you got too watch dalton there’s nowt on UK TV he’s a legend he takes turds and smoothly makes em into peanut butter the British are behind ya Dalton come on son x
Just awesome! You’re fortunate to be able to spend this time with your son and Jess.
Awesome!! Love the old Buicks and pontiacs,
You created the Puick, brilliant!
The "work-arounds" like the liquid nails trick is one of the reasons I have great respect for this guy.
Got another one running. Great video
Thanks for your inspiration Dolton
This membership is well worth it! I always look forward to your videos, and now i get them earlier! Dalton, your channel is my favorite on youtube! Keep em' coming. You're doing the lords work.
Dalton, That car took me back to 1980.. I bought a 2 door 1967 Buick Special with a clapped out 300, so I found a donor 455 from a 1970 wildcat for $50 bucks and made it fit.. well worth the sweat equity and the joy that goes with the burnouts for days and smoking tires. Thanks for taking me down memory lane buddy! Keep up the great content man!
That is so cool! Reminds me of when I was a teenager. That is pretty much what I would of enjoyed doing! Swapping a good running engine into a old sedan. Throwing on a random hood scoop that looked cool. Installing a four barral dual plane factory or after market intake manifold. Putting better brakes on all four wheel's. If a four speed trans was handy swapping one in place of the auto trans. Spraying down the engine compartment with gloss black after cleaning it. Finding some decent tires, wide 60's or 70's in back and stock size up front. Gotta install some cheap Low restriction turbo mufflers or glass packs and some type of available exhaust manifolds,, Hooker Headers. Clean up the interior, patch the floorboards. Some type of seat covers over the old seats. Gotta have a SUN tach mounted on the steering column. Gotta have a Pioneer or better Cassette stereo player in it along with co-axel 6x9 rear deck speakers and front tweeters as well. Of course no air conditioner but definitely the heater and defrost working.... Then It is all about cruising and running it.
i love seeing you have fun with these rusty heaps that most people have either already given up on or would never give a second look. they remind me of my cousin who ALWAYS drove something similar to this (as his daily, lol) and was ALWAYS doing something stupid in them... which no doubt played no small part in my love of cars
I’m glad you throw realistic expatiations on these builds you do. A lot of RUclipsrs throw an insane amount of money that’s not realistic to the average Joe.
thats why this is the best automotive youtube channel in existance...........dd speed shop is a close second but this gets my vote as #1
love it man! cheap, loud, and fun! every time you blipped the throttle, it's like all my old junk I drive that makes me giggle in the same way
You ignore me 😢 but I'll never stop lovin the $1.00 CLUB . ❤
Things are so much better when you don't care. I find it liberating.
Same!! 🤘
I definitely am loving the Buick build for sure!! I’d definitely love to see you do some body work on it and some fresh paint and see how well that spruces it up even more???
You're my drinking buddy in a Saturday night. After spending a year thrashing toward perfection on my first project (and missing that mark), you're teaching me a lot about "good enough".
Much love you all you guys on the channel, and your dedication to making it happen.
This channel is absolutely legendary! You guys are great! Thank you for these videos they definitely bring Joy!!! Your attitude is great! Get out there and do it! And would be awesome to see it painted and turbocharged!
Time to clean with lots and lots of Brake clean. Immediately cuts to Dalton with a grinder lmao
I love this content. You're the best Dalton. Thanks for the videos.
Excellent, always fun to watch. Car deserves more. Channels like this gives me hope.
Love this build, but I say that about most of yours. I can't wait to see the PBG bodywork on this one. Hoping you keep it gold with the blackout hood.
The muddy water shooting out the rad when you revved it was epic!
Great job Dalton and Team!. Love the old Buicks!
I love 67 Skylarks. My brother had one back in the 80s. Smooth rider
YAY! another PBG to watch!
Dalton... You are the KING of junk autos to road ready. Keep up your awesome content 🔨🔥
Yeah, those Missouri roads, feel and understood that completely, great job Dalton!
Awesome, awesome video. I aspire to be like y'all, a family who shares the passion of cares and works on them together. Super honored to be a fan!
It's not an edelbrock that's an edelwok.
Videos just keep getting better. Thanks Dalton.
Thanks Bill
@@PoleBarnGarageI do nag you a lot on here but I really enjoy watching y’all. Take care and happy restoring 😂
Also, I really appreciate you showing how easy /cheap this stuff can be. My hobby is vintage mopeds, but it too can be pretty daunting, especially when you have a pile of projects and analysis paralysis. I find your "let's get it done so we can go have fun" approach really refreshing. Thank you.
I dig the hood scoop! Well done.
Anybody else notice the headlight bezzel almost fall out?😂 i love how you dont cut out the small things that arent as planned
Now this is the way! Thanks for championing the RIGHT way to build a cheap, running muscle car Dalton! I'd patch the few holes in the floorboard with the new found "patch plates" you found in the trunk and of course replace that radiator. Doesn't need much else besides the exhaust fix to be good enough.
Really fun to watch, incredibly watching it come to life!!!
I can't lie, this type of content motivates me so much. Not only does it go further than anybody else in saying any car can drive but any car can have whatever powerhouse you want in it. This is the kind of thing i enjoy watching.
Smash the like everyone
Glorious
This video gave me the motivation i needed to get my butt outside today and work on another video of my truck build. Thank you for doing what you do. I got to drive my truck down the driveway for the first time so it was well worth it
Good stuff.. love seeing someone put the deals together, and make them work.. without big sponsorship.. Just good ole. Well it works! Thats why I follow.. I feel that in my soul… Keep it up brother!
I’ll tell you right now Lucas products never worked for me and I am 63 this year😊
I really appreciate how real you are on camera, I bet money you are the same off screen too. Thanks for being original and yourself, it makes for some great relatable content. I enjoy watching you pause and tell everyone that you are a real person not sponsored and you are doing what the average person can do. 😊
Love this channel, budget muscle for the win, your neighbors must love pole barn garage, open headers for days!
Dalton, this is your best video yet. The Pontiac engine you put in this car has power you haven't even tapped into yet. She wants to race bad!! I think you should do a badass budget racing build on the Buick and take it either to the drag strip or Power tour 2024!! I am so glad I found your channel. I grew up in Detroit from 72 to 83 so I remember muscle cars and how much fun they are. I love they way you, JD, and Jess work together. You all make a great team.
Budget builds.. Youre so right Dude. Way to go. Love it.
I swear this is the best show, how honest he is about everything. Thank u for all the awesome things u guys do for us.
I love taking two and making one! Awesome content. 👍👍
Love your approach and mind-set. Inspirational for us everyday people.
I love this thing, the hood scoop is just magnificent!
Nicely done Dalton! And, all done on a budget. Very cool!
Thanks for another entertaining episode !! Yall have a great show !
I love it. I am a gear head, and i love saving old cars. This was absolutely cool.
So cool to see that thing running. Always loved the body style of those Skylarks and the sound is just killer!
Thanks for the tip on Priority Tire. I told them Pole Barn Garage sent me when I ordered! Love the channel. Keep up these awesome budget builds!
This is the absolute best, and most realistic car revival channel on RUclips. Keep up the great work and I love my PBG hat!
What an awesome project this was. I really like these shoestring budget builds.
Great channel.
Yes I hope to see more of this car!! Big block it, a cool diy interior an paint leave the hood and hood scoop matte black lower it a little an maybe later on out a blower on it keep the carb theme . I love these cars wish I had one , until then I’d love to see this one go through some stages for sure.
My favorite year and model, love the 67 skylark! Then put the best all around muscle engine into it! Watched this episode twice!
