Thank you for this video (I know it’s nearly ten years old now). Wonderful nostalgic memories, I had the Ardennes, Tobruk and Berlin sets (also charge of the Light Brigade), but it was great to see sets I never saw before.
Thank you for this kind comment 😊… This video is old, but not as ols as these sets 😅. Search vintage.sprue on facebook to see a lot of incredible vintage model kits. Nicolas
Quanti ricordi. Io e mio cugino quando avevamo un po' di soldi da parte, prendevamo il treno per andare a Firenze dove c'era un negozio fornitissimo di Esci. Compravamo sempre qualche scatolina. Entrare lì dentro ci sembrava un sogno.
VERY VERY WELL DONE INDEED.. DID AIRFIX DO SOMETHING SIMILAR ?????? OR IS IT MY ANCIENT AND SHATTERED MIND PLAYING TRICKS ON ME AGAIN ????? THAT WAS JUST BRILLIANT 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Thank you very much Murray ;-) Airfix have produced a WONDERFUL range of similar dioramas with absolutely stunning boxarts. This was the Battlefront History series, 8 sets. They were pair-matched with opposing warring parties. you will find a gallery onmy facebook dedicated page here : facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.272923092778449&type=3
Not seen the ones in the Video, but I did have an Iwo Jiwa set, a D-Day set and a North Africa set most likely Airfix as most of my early stuff was only got other makers things about 1980 onwards.
I love them. I wanted to collect them all but they are too expensive with 300-500 Euros for a good conditiones set on ebay. BTW at 2:30 thats MALTA, NOT SICILY. Sicily is the big fat island on top of that ;)
Hello ! You're right, i made a big mistake about Sicily on my map ! Esci sets are less expensive that what you tell ;-) , i found most of them (in ten years ) very far of this price. I have all of them. The perfect collection would be to have all of them in white AND red box for those which have been reissued in this box color. ;-)

I made the diorama of the ardennes when I was 12 years old, now I'm 43 ...
Shouldn’t the Afrika korps be wearing their desert uniforms?
On which set/campaign , @Dj Lewis ?
