This channel definitely deserves more subscribers, I love it, keep it up, wishing luck from Scotland
No it doesn't, it's inaccurate information.
I sure wish these types of repair shops had been around when I had my Subaru Outback! It suffered all kinds of dings by clueless people throwing their doors open without a care (grrrr!). And on a black car... such dimples really stand out. You were smart to go with a light color.
"Cult without the negative connotations", lol... Very helpful vid!
I found this to be one of the most fascinating videos bc we got to actually SEE INSIDE the falcon wing door and see some of the sensors. Soooo cooollll.....!!
Sorry about the Wing Ding. But...the repair DID produce a really interesting video. Nice recovery.
I like getting the behinds the scene info like this, good video
Optimus Prime is in Norway :-) With Tesla Björn ;-)
Joakim Uppsäll-Sjögren indeed. That was our nod to him.
would it not be more appropriate to be one of the wrecker crew... could be ultra magnus before he was rebuilt by the Junkions
(ok that was nerdy even for me lol)
Super caring:
// High compliments to Atlanta's European Collision Repair, and to your excellent presentation/ introduction.
// LOL: "Mike Malone on retainer."
I'm the same way. I park as far away as possible from people. And I'm in a Prius V! Happy to report, no dings!
Wow that's really neat how he was able to get that ding out!!!
Good video. I like at the beginning when we see under the car and inside the doors. Very cool.
Greetings from Oregon! I love this channel. You guys are so into it and by they way, your kids are adorable. We have a model x 90D too! It has black perforated seats and solid white paint (which was discontinued sadly) and has autopilot!!! This channel deserves more subs. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the kind words and the viewership! We are originally from WA state so the NW is near and dear to us. Enjoy the 90D and all the best!
You should consider investing in a dashcam, I installed the DR650S on my X (info about that on my channel) and it recently captured a Toyota back into my X, luckily no damage! Also, you can remotely view the footage and receive a notification if an impact is detected while the car is parked.
MacTechGenius we actually did shortly after the ding.
When showing off those semi-"naked" Teslas on camera, my first thought was "I wonder if the competition is watching this, too, trying to learn a few secrets from Tesla."
So wish I had these experts here in Oregon. I have a small dent in the rear quarter panel (paint scraped). Mine is in a body shop for 3 weeks to get a 2" dent. Part of that is paint prep and reblend which includes prepping the driver side falcon wing door.
But love this video.
ECR did a fantastic repair of a hole I put in my trunk when I backed up in my garage with my truck opened. Cost $3,200.
I've watched a lots of videos you guys make and all's pretty good, thank you
Great information! I just had a *Tesla Model S* in the shop on Saturday for a small door ding.
My customer drove 3 hours round trip to come to me for the *paintless dent removal* , since I came highly recommended from another Tesla owner that I had repaired *hail damage* on his Tesla.
Wow, another great video from Kim....
I learned so much! nice new graphics and intro too
Love this channel👍
That guy is like a walking billboard for brands. He should drive Nascar.
The guy said at 2:32 that you couldn't repaint over the door as it would ruin the sonar of the falcon wing door, does this not mean then if the car got dirty/muddy it would effect the doors sensing ability? Would be interesting to know!
Chris Mason not an issue from my experience.
I'd imagine it'd have to be pretty uniform and exactly over the sensors.
Splashes of mud here and there don't seem like an issue.
OH MY G... THAT PILE OF JUNK AT THE END OF the VIDEO WORTH THOUSANDsss
do you guys know if Tesla has a tire protection program in case you get flat tires? for example, i have a program from Lexus where i paid 800 and it covers any damage to my sport michelin tires and they will replace the tire for free. so far ive been through 4 tire punctures and each tire is 400 at lexus. so it has saved ALOT of money.
amazing ding repair method!
Thinking of opting for the 75D, as on a limited budget. Options, would you recommend the upgraded interior pack or the auto pilot? Think the 6 seat configuration would suit my lifestyle best. What options would you say are a "must"?
Matt Hellcat fan oh Autopilot 100%! I would get the bear bones X if I had to and AP would be the first box I'd check.
It is brilliant in every sense and makes the mundane tasks of driving completely irrelevant.
Also 6 seat interior is a great choice for a multitude of reasons but the airy feeling and viability that come with it are tops.
Besides the seating and autopilot there is nothing else that I would say I miss on a daily basis or couldn't live without.
I also like my cold weather package because I like warm steering wheels.
Thank you for doing this video!
Thanks for watching.
awesome vid!!
Super great job on your car 👍😄
Great insight into Tesla guys, quick question does your referral work with cars ordered in the U.K.?? After watching your videos I am definitely considering ordering an X. The ease of getting kids and car seats in ( I've a 5 year old and an 8 day old) it's all because of your input that I'm looking into it. Thanks guys, Matt from good old Blighty 😀
Matt Hellcat fan glad you've found it helpful Matt! It certainly does, its a global code. You'll love the X and it'll be hard to go back after the first experience.
Hey guys! Love the channel and watching it gave us the confidence to get a Model S P100D. We just got it and are going to drive from NY to Florida starting on Feb 17th! Want us to come say "hi"?
Helpful thanks
Optimus Primus,great one!Love your videos;hope I'll get one X too!
thank you
You guys need more subs!!! Love your videos!!!😀
Great use of Salvage Model X!
How about doing a demo of the doors opening and closing during a heavy rain , sounds interesting
We've done it.
Great , where would I see the vid on the doors operating in the rain ? I live on Vancouver Island , we get a lot of rain in the winter , and am trying to make up my mind as to go with the gull wing or not Thanks
Left my car in for service , they saw a dint I didn't know was there , marked on service diagram , had to shine lights at various angels to see it cause was going to go back to complain thought they had made a mistake . Now know how easy can be missed
Hi Kim, I am not yet a Tesla owner, but I like everything I have learned about Tesla and Elon Musk so far. I can't understand why you got 53 thumbs down. They must be jealous. I really enjoy your videos, keep up the good work.
+twitchyourwhiskers thank you.
I love your channel 👍
I should get myself involved into the bumper business
Speaking of dings and dents, I am getting lots of tiny chips on the windshield of my X. It seems like I find a new chip every other day. One theoryI have is that because of how aerodynamic the car is, debris are more likely to travel up to the windshield instead of hitting the front end. Either that or I am incredibly unlucky. How is your windshield holding up after so many miles?
Silas Ho that's a good theory.
I've noticed at least 3 or 4 nicks as well.
There's a product call ClearPlex that will protect you but I haven't yet installed it on mine.
We talk about it at the 8:10 mark in this video.

thumbs up for Subaru Impreza 22B at background at 3.00
Name of song in the video?
How to install a gullwing door
at 2:27 when Andrew talked about the material, does that mean I wont be able to wrap my car?
No, wrapping works perfectly fine and is not thick enough to impact.
Thank you!
Wow that ding looked terrible, glad it was fixed.
Sweety, when would you like to come test dtive my Jaguar iPace?
I can't stand doe dings. Ina steel car like my Volvo. $50-$100 per ding. How much did that cost?
Chris Bates $100
Like Tesla great!
Notification Squad❤️❤️
I own a Audi A6 S-Line and my biggest fear is parking in car parks cause of how other drivers open their doors.
9:34 HAHA @ BUMBER TO bumper traffic!
3 mils = 0.076 mm ;)
Great vids! Keep it up :)
U should vlog
Hey!
Nice video, but you forgot to mention the two most important facts about the job: how much did it cost, and how long did it take?
Tony Pombo both covered here. I said in the video 60-90 minutes and commented below $100.
Thank you. I must have missed it. Looks like a good deal.
Thanks for watching.
#transformer MOMMY ! You have steady hands unlike other youtubers & you provide a great statistic information ! In love
~Harshank Patel
4:20 19[8]4 GTO!
like Tesla
if i was such fan of for example BMW as you are of tesla everybody would call me insane
My X opened its wings into my garage wall (which has never happened before) thankfully it never got damaged...
Mountfujifujiapple yeah there are definitely blind spots in the sensors but it is 99% trust worthy. 😉
Really, that small dent..
2nd comment!
Are you serious? I understand getting a ding in any car would upset anyone, but I've had two hits on my 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited and I'm not crying. I love my car, by God I do but I shouldn't have to spend a lot to repair just two small dings. As long as there is no obstruction to the steel underneath the paint, I'm ok with it.
In the end, I'm truly wondering how much this cost you.
I think it was around $90 or $100.
What do these people do for a living to afford two $100,000 plus cars? Those payments combined will be close to 5k a month.
Zach Huneycutt I'm wondering the exact same thing! I'm barely getting my first Tesla (Model S 75) after saving up for an entire year. The 60% down payment really helps!
It’s not 5k per month
Gas for life If you agree go here @gaskings
Why does Kim drive it when, the husband knows/cares more about the cars and tesla's
matt :-/ wouldn't say he cares more about them.
He doesn't even want to do the videos.
Be careful what you assume!
All pretty woman drive tesla. Why not ugly ones?
