    Raking is a new trick I’ve learned here which is a great way to briefly rest the fingers before moving onto the next part of song.

    Thanks. This makes it easier to learn than to keep up with the tabs. Although I played this song years ago by ear but may have been wrong.

    Really enjoyed this. I’m not actually needing to learn this song, but I appreciate the tips on learning any song. It’s a good reminder of how helpful it is to just jot down the song structure.

    I do believe there are 1/4 note rests in the even number measures of the intro. Also right in the beginning there is a 1/16 th note rest

      Being born in the 70s, it’s funny to hear someone say they are going to “have to check out the Eagles” 😂 It’s sort of the reverse of me having to “check out“ Tame Impala or something. 👍🏻

    Hi Dan, I've never tried to play this one before and was just wondering about the chords from (Bmin/Dmaj) used such as the E and F# and are these borrowed? After working out the Melodic minor I thought about that or maybe something else. Maybe an idea for the future if you haven't already done it. Enjoyed the lesson anyway!

    • @OnlineBassCourses
      @OnlineBassCourses  2 года назад

      I think I’ve done something on that before but, yes, they’re chords from outside the key. I think it probably would make a good lesson though…

      @@OnlineBassCourses that is true. Most People are musically illiterate. I took the time to major in music, study music history, Learn theory, comp and arraignment and play the double bass. Once it was all said and done, it's not as complicated as people think. The key is listening to add many styles as possible. I teach people how to teach themselves. So many come back as say " when you look at it the way you said, it's not that complicated. You are right listening but not trying to play it right away is the key"
