- Today on Realistic Fishing I am bass fishing with a hilarious Zman lure named TRD Ticklerz. I am trying this lure only because of its funny name. This small lure is a cross between a TRD and Tube Bait. Fishing it on a Texas Rig I am able to catch three largemouth bass as the sun goes down. None of them were very large, but I am happy to be catching any bass during this time of year. Don't let silly names fool you, you can still catch bass on lures that look and perform well. The bass doesn't know the name of the lure is TRD Ticklerz. #Bassfishing #fishing

My son and grandson took me on a surprise fishing trip for the afternoon. It's been more than a year. I got to try the gulp minnows for the 1st time on pan fish. It was great, couldn't keep em off the hook. ha ha
I learned of the minnows from realistic fishing, forever thankful..

I couldn’t find these after watching this video but I did grab some Finesse TRD by Z man. Solid lure. Grab a nice rock bass this morning.

That TicklerZ Texas rigged has been magic for me the last few weeks. I got the idea to Texas rig the TRD from you and one of your vids. Sure does help with the snags I got on my open hook Ned rig. I used the TicklerZ as thats what I had left from the Z-Man Ned Rig kit. I have caught many Smallmouth Bass with it and my PB Chain Pickerel.

Love the ticklerz when the fish are really pressured. Seems to get bit for me when nothing else is working. Zman does have a way with names though 🤣

This is a special episode. I want to share an adult beverage with zman marketing person and realistic fishing and just be a fly on the wall. Lol.
Those work really well. Caught about 15 of them tonight. I use a NED hook though. Seems to work much better for me than the EWG’s. Crazy thing is, they are so durable. Didn’t even have to change to a different lure all night.
Love the zman Ned rig baits. My favorites are the TRD and the bugz. Haven’t fooled with the others yet but on a tough day I can usually get some bites of them.

ZMan is a great bait company. I use a ton of their products. Ticklerz are good for drop shot rig as well. I use the same color ( the deal) around here and I'll catch good fish. If I fish deeper, I use ZMan Bulletz jigheads and that's a game changer when needed
The other night I caught around 20 white bass in 45 minutes, it was a blast.

Best bought on clearance! They can be expensive when fully priced at a tackle store, but are very worth it to try them out. (Just my opinion)
Make sure you keep them away from other soft plastics. They melt

I think my next day off I'm going to head about an hour down the highway and try this place called keystone lake. I think that's the one near here. I passed it a couple times going to pick up some metal.

I've only caught one fish with the ned rig. I have the most luck with a 1/8 jig and 4in grub.

I watched a vid on RUclips from zman and they showed using a tickler on a ned head/ shroom head as a way to keep the rig weedless but while still using an open hook and not needing an ewg hook. You take one of the appendages and run the hook threw it so it acts as a weed guard. If you have a chance maybe try it out and see if that helps or improves the function of using the original ned reg. As always keep it up and k.i.r
