They all look like they have value. The colors on the Roboworm and Strike King Ocho really popped, so they might need to be added to my arsenal across several baits. Whelp . . . looks like I've already spent my anticipated Christmas gift cards in my head.
Haha yeah I’m with you, already spent my Christmas money before I even got them, I know what to load up on. But I agree, I believe these all have some value and will have their time and place. I was really impressed with the Robo, the SK Ocho, and the Yum, can’t wait till next year to find some fish with them
The original TRD is my favorite, I love the way it stands straight up. Based on this vid I am going to try the Roboworm, Ocho and the dinger for sure. Thanks for posting.
I’ve always used the Zman stuff for my ned rigs. I bought the ned bomb for this year but haven’t used it yet. If I were gonna fish one bait it would be the TRD. I’ve caught five bass that went over 19” and countless others on the same single bait. You can’t kill that elaztech!
Love the Yum Ned dinger. It’s cheap, durable, and the tail is hollow. So you can put a rattle or scent inside of the tail or just leave in empty and it floats better because it holds air. Absolutely awesome!
Great, unbiased presentation of a wide range of options. Photography was great as was your commentary. Congratulations on providing an effective tool for fishermen to make good decisions.
I got back into bass fishing again after a 20year lay off and picked up the Zman TRD Bugz...They sold me on the Ned rig from there....But that Ned Bomb from missile baits I'm hoping to try soon... they have a start type kit so that's going under the tree for myself....Of course my wife want to but it for me for Christmas so win win!
I like the zman stuff. The way it stand up, floating appendages and they are non toxic. Imo they are the Ned masters. Some of the strike king baits are collaborated with zman. They use elaztech so they float. Floating shakey head worms kill it also when you don't need a tiny Ned presentation.
The original Finesse TRD was my most productive Ned Bait “UNTIL” I started to use the Hollow Tip Worm or “HTW” by Samatis Baits!! This week alone here in NC it’s accounted for several 5+ lb bass, a 6-4, and a 7-6! I’m not affiliated with the company, just passing along a great bait for others to try!
Amazing footage!! Wish more lure explanations would do this!! This helped me choose the right ned for my fishing style!! Immense help. Great video. Great job. I would watch every under water lure video you make!! Action makes a difference knowing what it does when the line it slack, gentle, smooth, jerky, and tight. Every type of line tension was demonstrated. Truly great job!!
I love this video; thank you! I personally throw the Missile Baits Ned Bombs and the Strike King Ned Ocho’s. It’s good to see they have different actions for different situations and bodies of water.
Good video Terry. I’m not by any means a tourney fisherman, as a matter of fact...I am just getting my game straight when it comes to who, when, how , where and why. But I have made an obvious observation in lure selection. 6th sense hands down has some of the best baits around. Along with Yum plastics and of course the ultimate in finesse fishing....our boys at Z-man. Elaztech is a genius product that will definitely put some fish in the boat. The only thing that I have seen from Googan Squad that I will probably purchase is their “click bait”. That really seems to have some backbone to it and possibly a good bait to have confidence in as it looks like a well made and effective product for angling. Sorry to ramble, just wanted to tip my hat to you on a well made and Informative video. You covered a lot of ground in this one. Thanks!
I have had a bunch of success on the robo and the misslebaits neds this past year . The robo neds come in some great colors too . I do fish the Z Man too they are just a pain to thread on but they do stand up the best as well most durable.
I don't know where you fish, but I m in Florida we have all kinds of grass, plants , and weeds growing at the bottom. Question how do use this kind of setup in our type of environment with hook expose to all kinds of obstacles to get caught on each cast?
The original finesse TRD and the missile baits Ned bomb have been my go to the last couple years but that yum Ned dinger had some incredible action and standard straight up which I didn't expect. Great video bro 👊💯
I’ve always been sold on Z-Man...but this year(2021) I want to try Missile and the Strike King brands! Awesome video my friend! BABAAM!! Can’t wait to get back to Michigan again this summer!
I just subscribed giving your channel a chance. I stumbled this whole Favorite rod thing and after watching some horrible videos of guys that might be excellent fishermen, should not ever be commenters or spokesmen. Your video on the topic was the best and most articulate. So here I am watching this video about Ned baits. If you’ve never watched the channel Tactical Bassin. I highly recommend you do. It goes back 9 years, but you’ll not find a more educational fishing channel covering nearly everything about bass fishing in every season and weather condition all over the country. Especially love their underwater bass fishing videos to show how bass react to different baits and they explain all aspects of bass behavior for each time of year. And the ONLY Googan bait I’ve ever caught a bass on was the Rattlin Ned in the Smelt color. It weighed 4.87lbs. And my water is always algae stained where no one but myself fishes where I live. If you’re ever in Central Florida, contact me here as I don’t bother with any other social media. And since I’ve bought and tried at least one of every Googan bait from the beginning to current releases of hard baits. Their baits are typically scaled down but the same weight as most other baits. Even though I’ve had no luck with anything other than the Ned, I’ve noticed that all their baits are designed to be fished aggressively. The zoned for example worked for me as a mix between hopping and dragging. So what you say is true about the tail, That is how I found it worked for me. The rattle is so quiet, it might have also helped in this water as all the fish here spook easily because if all the predatory birds dive bombing them like the Osprey, or literally swimming underwater like the Anhinga does. Lastly, all the Herons and Storks that stand along the bank and pick off the bait fish. No other brackish body of water like this anywhere and it’s an extreme challenge most other bass anglers never have to deal with in pure freshwater.
Huge thank you for watching a few of my videos and subscribing, it means a lot! And yeah if I’m down your way, let’s go find em! Thanks again and tight lines!! 👍🎣
Thanks for making this. I'll have to try out the yum ned. I have a pack of trd craws but haven't used them yet, they look excellent. Another good one is the TRD hawgs I caught a few nice fish on them this year. Riot baits makes a ned worm that works very well too. Thanks again for the vid.
Great video. Thanks for the footage. This confirmed my preference for the zman ticklerz. Gotta be that zman floating plastic. snags less, lasts longer. great bait for deadsticking tight lipped bass.
I have been looking at the ZMan craws to be used as a finesse jig trailer. I am glad that you filmed underwater action of these different types of baits. I strongly believe that a worm that has floating properties will do a bit better than those without. Then again, the Senko will blow that theory out of the water. Great video.
I love the look of that Dinger. My best Ned baits so far: the original TRD, the TRD HogZ and the Hula StickZ, which is like the TicklerZ, but longer. You could make your own TicklerZ by cutting a little piece off the front of a Hula StickZ.
Very nice demo and camera work! I live here on Table Rock where Ned is King. Very seldom are they fished on bottom here with the clear water. Used most often as a glide bait with no heavier than 1/8th oz head because you are presenting to suspended fish that are working small thread fin shad schools. A No tail action bait more closely resembles their prey. Ive used them all and in clear water, Cant beat an old 3 or 4 inch Senko on 1/16 or 1/8th oz mushroom head for this gliding, slow fall presentation IMHO. Keep up the great channel! I'm a new subscriber.
New subscriber here lol. I love how you're doing the underwater comparison. I'm fairly new to Bass fishing. . getting away from catfish. Thanks and keep the videos coming !
I use a mason jar filled with water. Googan and Yum both sank to the bottom. Z Man will float, Gene Larew baits also. Roboworm sinks, but haven't tried any Strike King products. Grandebass has a bait, called a Baby Rattlesnake that is money, along with the Airtail worm.
I'm doing baits reviews for bass and using lots of these baits. Using LiveScope showing bait and bass. The Googan Ned bait worked great, maybe it's the rattle. Also hair jigs for bass, Good show enjoyed. FLC
I love the video. It’s always great to see underwater footage of to see the action before buying. I haven’t actually bought any Ned rigs but at the start of this season I’ve been having the best of luck with Owner’s Centering Pin Shakey Head paired with the Yum Dinger....I agree they aren’t as durable but with the low cost and amount of consistent strikes, it’s been well worth it.
Zman for me. The TRD Bugz works where I'm at. PB largemouth is still a tossup between the old Jitterbug surface action in lillies and the Yamamoto Kreature (just slap everything on the damn thing at once). =)
Great video, thanks. I fish the Finesse TRD's and really like them. I also liked the CrawZ, I might have to try those. I have been fishing with braid line, with these baits, should I tie a mono or flouro leader with these baits? Let me know your thoughts. And thanks again.
Thanks for watching and great question. For me I always go braid to fluoro. I think that has the best sensitivity and abrasive resistance. And I use almost exclusively Sunline Sniper for all my flouro lines. Thanks again Dan and tight lines!!
Great to see how these baits look under water. Gives me new perspective on how my presentation should be. From the video my favorites are the z man baits and the robot worm. They all had insane action. I just hate storing the z-man baits because they start to melt or something.
I like the pink worm the most. Awesome action with the tail. And for some reason when I use the googan ned rig it usually stands up like most the others did for you. I also have the craw which I have yet to use but has one of the top 3 best actions out the lot. Good video and look forward to more.
I use both zman and yum. The Yums easier to deal with and have a larger diameter but tear easy. The zman are super long lasting. Especially if you super glue it in. And give the zman good stretching and work the salt out and watch the action then.
The TRD BugZ and the Roboworm Ned Worm are looking like the right choice for me. Just got into checking out ned rig videos and this is by far the best video! This is what I like to see when looking up new techniques. Good work buddy!
Live the ned!! Just out my ned video up. My favorites are the z-man ticklerz and strike king cutr tail. But will be using a ton of ned brands this year great video.
Which weights are you using there? My rod wont cast the finesse shroomz, so I'm getting the pro shrooms in 1/5oz instead. Curious to know if it will affect the presentation in a meaningful way.
I don’t tournament fish anymore so I’ll let my tip out. Lol. Ned rig and ribbon tail worm or swimming worm with lots of action, that is cut to size and let that ribbon tail catch you everything. And you don’t have to go buy special bait that only has one use
The original TRD is the best because of the floating the Yum is the only other one that floats good. I will stick with Z man and experiment with the larger sizes. Videos like this saves me money. I thought I would try the NedBomb but I see that they don’t float enough.
I don’t have much current by me. The ocho and roboworm I liked the best for stick baits. The ZMan Ticklers and Bugz were 🔥. The missile baits Ned bomb has a great swimming action. I thought all the colors by Strike King were great.
I’ve seen other excellent bass anglers cut up Zoom Trick Worms to a smaller size keeping that bulb end exposed and use scented dyes to color plain white. Cheapest of all ways to Ned rig in case you wish to try it yourself.
I have picked up almost all the baits you showed us here before even seeing this video lol I'm not big on the missle baits but the cut-r worm is awesome for swimming!
Great video, thanks for sharing. I have all the ZMan stuff, I just love the durability. Also have the ned bomb too but are not really biting here just yet. Please do a video on low budget rigging including weedless. Often I use a cheap small hook on 6# mono leader with a 2 - 3g split shot 1/2" from the hook and I get a very similar profile at a fraction of the cost of using the ZMan or similar jigs.
Would like to have viewed the baits with much longer stationary pauses to see if they actually stood up. And also with each bait on a different surface, thought the sand actually helped some of the baits stay upright. Great video. Very nice close up shots of each bait. Which bait offers the most or best color selections in your opinion?
For this I believe it was 12lb Sunline Sniper, I use that for most applications but it was what was easy to do this test video. Thanks for watching man, tight lines this year!
I may be biased but the Motion fishing Penny Craw is my favorite ned rig bait. Great action and the buoyancy is unmatched. outside of that bait, the original TRD is my go to. but that Yum dinger looks juicy too! Great video Adam!
Subscribed! Rang the bell too, haha. I'm in mid-Michigan and the water temps are FINALLY getting up there and our Gov. has graced us little people with the privilege of allowing motorized propulsion on our vessels during this "State Emergency" (rolls eyes). So LET'S GO FISHING!!! Nice job on the videos for sure. Keep em coming.
Yeah it has a rattle in the tail. Makes that tail so heavy but a cool sound. I’ve heard they’re not the most durable, however I’ve only had limited experience with them. Thanks again for watching!
I did a Ned rig tank test with a few different baits including the Googan Rattlin Ned (wasn’t a fan other than the glass rattles) my Shaky Head Tank Test is my favorite Tank Test video. It shows that sometimes the cheapest baits do the beat. The BPS Floatin Worm looked great. The Googan Baits Slim Shake just laid flat. Go check them out brother
Which one of these baits do you believe will catch the most fish? Which had the best action?
They all look like they have value. The colors on the Roboworm and Strike King Ocho really popped, so they might need to be added to my arsenal across several baits. Whelp . . . looks like I've already spent my anticipated Christmas gift cards in my head.
Haha yeah I’m with you, already spent my Christmas money before I even got them, I know what to load up on. But I agree, I believe these all have some value and will have their time and place. I was really impressed with the Robo, the SK Ocho, and the Yum, can’t wait till next year to find some fish with them
Very surprised by the buoyancy of ALL of the baits very cool!
Zman Ned baits have caught more for me personally than others
I like the yum dinger!
The original TRD is my favorite, I love the way it stands straight up. Based on this vid I am going to try the Roboworm, Ocho and the dinger for sure. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for watching. I love the finesse TRD as well, hard to beat the OG. But those other choices are sure to slay
Ever try the big trd?
I’ve always used the Zman stuff for my ned rigs. I bought the ned bomb for this year but haven’t used it yet. If I were gonna fish one bait it would be the TRD. I’ve caught five bass that went over 19” and countless others on the same single bait. You can’t kill that elaztech!
00; 00 99th 00 lol; indeed
Loved how the Dinger bait wagged ists tail. Awsome will be buying some of them!
Trying my first ned rig tomorrow, thanks for this video, learned alot
Awesome seeing them underwater! Just ordered some of the zman crews.
Man that Z-man TRD finesse is perfect.
Very helpful... thanks for demonstrating a few of them.
Nice job
Nothing like seeing them underwater
Awesome!!!!!! Made my guessing what to use, so easy!!!! Thank u
i liked the subtle rocking from the ned yum dinger.....adding to my tw shopping list.
I love that TRD Crawz on the ned rig. Im going to have to try it out.
Oh yeah it absolutely smacks fish
I like the zman stuff. The way it stand up, floating appendages and they are non toxic. Imo they are the Ned masters. Some of the strike king baits are collaborated with zman. They use elaztech so they float. Floating shakey head worms kill it also when you don't need a tiny Ned presentation.
I like Zman products mostly but that Yum Dinger works as well .

Every type of line tension was demonstrated. Truly great job!!
I’m a TRD and Roboworm guy but the strike king was very cool. Thanks good information 👍🏻
I tried last winter with Z-Man Finess but not as much as I would have liked but I believe in it!
I love this video; thank you! I personally throw the Missile Baits Ned Bombs and the Strike King Ned Ocho’s. It’s good to see they have different actions for different situations and bodies of water.
Strike king lures looked best to me! Cool test.
Good video Terry. I’m not by any means a tourney fisherman, as a matter of fact...I am just getting my game straight when it comes to who, when, how , where and why. I appreciate you watching and the comment, thank you!
UK angler use the zman products over here with great success. My first time out using the crawfish green pumpkin 3rd cast mega perch 🎣
Great video. To the point, shows the underwater action. Not a lot of talking. Z-man crawz and Yum dinger look amazing
TRD Bugz have the best action for me caught loads of Perch on these.
I have had a bunch of success on the robo and the misslebaits neds this past year . The robo neds come in some great colors too . I do fish the Z Man too they are just a pain to thread on but they do stand up the best as well most durable.
You almost need a PHD in threading a elaztech bait. But if you can master it, it’s totally worth it
I don't know where you fish, but I m in Florida we have all kinds of grass, plants , and weeds growing at the bottom.
All the zman baits float/ stand and you can catch one hundred fish on one bait👍
I’ve always been sold on Z-Man...but this year(2021) I want to try Missile and the Strike King brands! Awesome video my friend! BABAAM!! Can’t wait to get back to Michigan again this summer!
Great video, this will really help me on the road to success with the Ned
Caught my PB largemouth on the classic TRD this January.
I just subscribed giving your channel a chance. Big fan of underwater action videos. Keep em coming buddy.

I’m glad you enjoyed it! I’m a huge fan of the Ned so I’ll check those others out too!
First time trying Ned rig, I got the roboworm. Needless to say, never tried anything else cause it works.
If you had to pick only one weight head which would you pick
Great video. Thanks for the footage. This confirmed my preference for the zman ticklerz. Gotta be that zman floating plastic. snags less, lasts longer. great bait for deadsticking tight lipped bass.
I fish in the California Delta and I got most of my bass with Zman TRD's I got bass with 5 different colors they do work well.
love the video... if you ever do one again... please do one with no current. Keep up the good work!
I have been looking at the ZMan craws to be used as a finesse jig trailer. I am glad that you filmed underwater action of these different types of baits. I strongly believe that a worm that has floating properties will do a bit better than those without. Then again, the Senko will blow that theory out of the water. Great video.
Thank you so much Jeff, means a lot for your comment! And yeah a traditional senko is just a special kind of fish slaying machine, nothing like em
I love the look of that Dinger. My best Ned baits so far: the original TRD, the TRD HogZ and the Hula StickZ, which is like the TicklerZ, but longer. You could make your own TicklerZ by cutting a little piece off the front of a Hula StickZ.

The ned bomb always works for me. As soon as I swim it for a bit and stop, let it sit and yank it once, they nail it.
Great video great selection!
Excellent video!! I learned a lot. Thanks
Thanks for watching man! I’ll have to check out those hooks, I love the owner stuff!
BugZ are 🔥.. like striking stuff to
Zman for me. The TRD Bugz works where I'm at. PB largemouth is still a tossup between the old Jitterbug surface action in lillies and the Yamamoto Kreature (just slap everything on the damn thing at once). =)
3:03 it looks like the bait is playing the piano we heard in the background lmfao
This is such I great video. I love the fact that you did the under water view/action
Awesome video thank you. Would really like to see the zoom beatdown underwater.
TRD is still the go to Ned for me. The Missle Ned bomb looked good, I recently bought some but yet to try them out.
Sweet video Fish hook! Love the quality of the underwater footage!! 💪
Nice vid. Thanks for going to the effort of testing them for us. We struggle to get any other Neds than Z-man here in the UK. It’s a great lure!
I always fish my beds rigs in 10 lb braid to 6 lb fluoro leader with a medium or medium light spinning rod
@@FishhookTerry Thanks a lot.
@@bladerunner766 Thanks.
Great to see how these baits look under water. Gives me new perspective on how my presentation should be. From the video my favorites are the z man baits and the robot worm. They all had insane action. I just hate storing the z-man baits because they start to melt or something.
The yum ned dinger only one that really stands up like the original Zman ned baits. Try the big trd if you want action(4 inch). Thanks for the vid🎣👍
Is that the bass pro in Taylor?
What rod and reel do you use with these?
I like the pink worm the most. Awesome action with the tail. And for some reason when I use the googan ned rig it usually stands up like most the others did for you. I also have the craw which I have yet to use but has one of the top 3 best actions out the lot. Good video and look forward to more.
I use both zman and yum. The Yums easier to deal with and have a larger diameter but tear easy. The zman are super long lasting. Especially if you super glue it in. And give the zman good stretching and work the salt out and watch the action then.
I had really good luck last year using the Z-Man Trick Shotz on a ned head.
What size jig head did u use?
The TRD BugZ and the Roboworm Ned Worm are looking like the right choice for me. Just got into checking out ned rig videos and this is by far the best video! This is what I like to see when looking up new techniques. Good work buddy!
Live the ned!! Just out my ned video up. My favorites are the z-man ticklerz and strike king cutr tail. But will be using a ton of ned brands this year great video.
I need to go watch your new vid, thanks for commenting brother!
This was cool to see! I’m still going to have to go with the finesse TRDs. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
The robo worm looked pretty good!
Zman is the ticket. The swim ones are good too.
what size jihead and hook, it matters
I’ve seen other excellent bass anglers cut up Zoom Trick Worms to a smaller size keeping that bulb end exposed and use scented dyes to color plain white. Cheapest of all ways to Ned rig in case you wish to try it yourself.
I have picked up almost all the baits you showed us here before even seeing this video lol
I'm not big on the missle baits but the cut-r worm is awesome for swimming!
Great video, thanks for sharing. I have all the ZMan stuff, I just love the durability. Also have the ned bomb too but are not really biting here just yet. Hi I’m new to bass fishing I’m only 12 but this reminds me a lot like the shaky head jig but smaller
Would like to have viewed the baits with much longer stationary pauses to see if they actually stood up. And also with each bait on a different surface, thought the sand actually helped some of the baits stay upright. Great video. Very nice close up shots of each bait. Which bait offers the most or best color selections in your opinion?
What line did you use? Size and type?
Thanks
Great video!
Can’t wait to start fishing again!
Well I was thinking of doing a full vid of the Motion lineup...maybe I need to get to work ASAP!
Fishhook Terry look forward to the video but no rush!
Song name?
Bro I was visiting my in-laws and my brother-in-law showed me the wacky worm. We were killing the bass! This was last week U.P. Michigan.
Amazing , thanks .
Nice video!
Dose the googan ned have beads in it?
Yeah it has a rattle in the tail. Makes that tail so heavy but a cool sound. I’ve heard they’re not the most durable, however I’ve only had limited experience with them. Thanks again for watching!
great work, thx.
Great stuff. Thanks.
Unless you visit the BP here in Tacoma 😂. Limited baits for bass fishing here. Nice video bro.
The Original TRD is THE REAL DEAL! longs extremely long and action is great. Haven’t failed me yet.
Hey Joe, have you tried the TRD TICKLERZ? Those are money man!! The TRD HAWGZ are pretty awesome as well. Tight lines man.
@@tonythelovegun I haven’t! But for sure been on my boat this year!
Will share
GOOGAN's rattling ned worked really well for me last year as a micro jig trailer
Good video
Going to start this year
Super Video! THX!
