    It's funny that in 80-90's all the music teachers and classical people said, that this is not music but noise...well, these noise-bands have composed the best f'ing music since Mozart, Beethoven & Co.

      @@TheRober82 Do you mean Wacken 2012 or this Oslo 2011 version, because this was Oslo concert (DVD/Bluray 1) and Wacken still is The Forces Of The Northern Night too (DVD/Bluray 2)?

      @TheRober82 2 года назад +3

      @@NightwishArena I meant the Wacken one of course, it seems to be a regular mix up as they are both named that. I figured it was easier saying the same concert as they would search for forces of the northern light, or just mourning palace, and it would be on top. But you explained it now anyways, so thanks for that :)

      This applies to all teachers. They're always a generation older, thus, even if progressive, always at least half a generation behind. Perhaps, with the current generation having access to so much information online, it will get better... but by the looks of it, we, as humans usually do, ignore whatever information that challenges our current views, and embrace whatever information which enforces our current views.
      As George Carlin so neatly put it: (from my memory) "Parents are full of shit, teachers are full of shit, law enforcement officers are full of shit".... and he went on for some length.

    That's what I love about Metal. I MEAN Metal. Not "Core" - which is also good, but man.... Metal in its purity is just like something else. It's so atmospheric, such anthems they put on. It's like reading a good book in front of a cozy fire, drinking a good red wine. It's like a tale, an exciting adventure. When I listen to music like this song I feel like I am in a different place. Just absofuckinglutely love it!

      @@raimundematiusaityte9929 ok i'm sorry. It was symphonic black metal until "abrahadabra" and especially on this album it's dark pop rock or something to me, i wouldn't call it metal even. Compare this album with albums from 94 till 2007 and you maybe see what i mean. It was not until they kicked out two skillful members of the band before they went to absolute mediocre. Been following them since aeons ago and i can say this is not what i'd call a progress. Huge appergios exchanged with this tikitoki keyboard player (probably shagrath himself played it). Riffs are so uninspired and basic as heck. I can go on if you want

      @@sinisterking6009 You are very familiar with Dimmu Borgir discography. I don´t know it unfortunately so well. I used to listen to albums Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia and Spiritual Black Dimensions a lot. But I love their concerts with symphonic orchestra and choir too (In Wacken and Oslo). I have listened to Dimmu Borgir song Interdimensional summit and I see what you mean! I find too much pop music influence there. I prefer the old sound of Dimmu Borgir too! Peace!

    • @SomberGames
      @SomberGames 2 года назад

      Why? I'll never understand why, of all of the amazingly complex and unique songs Dimmu has, people is so fixated on Puritania.
      I like the song, don't get me wrong, but it's such a short, repetitive weird-sounding and generic song for a reaction. Even in the same album you have some incredible masterpieces like Indoctrination, Hybrid Stigmata, or Blessings Upon the Throne of Tyranny.

    • @toreba

      @@toreba I do get that, however I still think it's not really a representative song of what the band is about.
