- Walther PDP F Series in the 3.5 inch barrel. Unboxing and First impressions Part 2 of 2 with Cindy Frost of Pistol & Pluck.
This 9 mm has so many innovative features that set it apart from many others on the market!
It comes with two easy to load 15 round magazines . The features from Part 1 of this series are highlighted and discussed while first impressions are gained on the range.
Cindy determines if the Walther came shipped out of the box zeroed or if adjusting the sights (which is a stock feature of this model) is needed.
How does it measure up to Cindy's preferred carry, the Glock 43X (with added Shield Arms 15 round mags and Shield Arms mag release)? Cindy shares why this pistol would make a great first pistol, especially for someone with small hands.
Does the Walther PDP F Series pistol make a good CCW? Cindy shares why it might and might not depending on your hands.
Does it shoot the cheap stuff aka Blazer ammunition? Yep.
Legacy Firearms Co. Holster doesn't hold up as expected.
The PDP F has "big bones" and big capabilities, check it out with Cindy on the range. 💥The range is "hot"🔥

My wife carries a pdpf iwb . She was lucky and took a couple of classes that Tatiana Whitlock from walther arm was part of.
Very nice lady .
Great video and review. Your kid is a sniper.
Sounds like great classes!
And both my sons most assuredly know their way around the tools.
I like that this gun is designed for women. Having said that, I'm a little under 6' tall, weigh a good 240 pounds, and I'm a Man! I bought this little gun because the second I held it, and racked it at the store, I knew I loved it, and wanted it for personal protection. The trigger reach is a bit short for me, but it's a small price to pay for an excellent overall package. I have fairly large hands, but lock into the grip just fine. We men can't just sit aside and let the ladies have all the fun! Cheers!
I just found this channel. Cindy is very analytical and thorough, and I like that.
Thank you & welcome aboard! I appreciate you being here ✨️
Great video Cindy ! Thanks for sharing! All of my pistols are Walthers , PPQ, PPS , CCP and a PDP. I recently put a deposit on a PDP-F for my wife. My preferred carry is my trusted PPQ M1. I started carrying on and off about 10 years ago. Yes , on and off , I know I should carry all the time. I can’t carry at work on the Medic 🚑 . But the worse the world gets, the more often I carry .
PDP F became my preferred carry gun within 2-3 weeks of training. Once you get used to the trigger position and the snappiness of the pistol, it's all about enjoying that fantastic grip. When it comes to size, judging by your height is like the issue I have with my H&K P30, I can't ever go back to carrying a bigger pistol. In your case is going to take time to get used to the size, and like me, you might never will.
If you still need a holster, try Slim Fit Holsters, I got one, and it fits like a glove.
Thanks for the recommendation!
Good job on your video. I enjoyed it.
Thank you!
The Tulster Profile Holsters with a wing are excellent!
Thanks! She is big boned but it's feasible to conceal her when it's sweater weather!
I just stumbled upon your videos Cindy, very good I am now a subscriber.
Awesome! Thank you!
Tenicor and Tier 1 are good holsters. I recommend the steel clips. It holds the holster in place better.
I was soooo close to looking for this PDP F at a gunshop near me. Now, after watching your reviews, I will pass on it as a CC option for one reason, it is bigger boned than the G43X. The Walther PDP F might be better on my nightstand. I'll keep an eye out for Walther to come out with something a little less bulky. I am small framed and finicky about comfort and concealment.
I enjoy your reviews! You do an excellent job of explaining pros, cons, and other useful nuggets of information. Love the bullet points also.
Thank you! I'm happy to have you here ✨️🤍
Hi Cindy. Great video on the PDP-F. I just got this gun a few weeks ago and really like it. I've only put about 200 rds. through it at the range, but shot really well (more accurate than my S&W Shield Plus (EDC). Like you, I do need to spend more time with it to get more comfortable using it. I do agree it's a tad big for CC, but not impossible, especially with cover garments.
I have also been searching the internet for holsters for the PDP- F 3.5, and they are VERY hard to find. So far, this is what I've found. I haven't decided on, or bought one yet but probably will in the next month or so (prices vary depending on model and options): Philster holsters $69.00 (out of stock), Clinger Holsters $58, CrossBreed and N8 Tactical holsters $76.99, C&G Holsters (don't have price), Dara Holsters (very expensive), Armzmen holsters $65.00. Good luck, and would love to know what you eventually wind up with for a holster, as well as your PDP shooting journey. Love your channel!
Thank you! What did you decide to go with?
Thanks for this video. Enigma express
Thanks for watching and the recommendation!
Cindy, check out ZR tactical solutions for other parts for the F type, springs, magwells, weight kits, mag extensions, all kinds of goodies! the springs can make the recoil softer to keep your hand from coming off the grip when shooting, good luck woman!
Thank you! Happy shootin'!
KSG Armory is my favorite. Wing is separate from retention. ❤
Thanks for the rec!
Look at Tulster, Tier 1 Concealed or T. Rex Arms holsters! I’m sure they’ll have something for you! Also, given it is very bulky and on a slight frame will print Elmore easily, I would suggest the Canik Mete MC9… it gives you the slim profile, 12 & 15 rd mags, interchangeable back straps, optic ready (direct mount too; no plate needed), holster comes with the firearm and it is serviceable AND has a VERY comparable trigger to the Walther… just a suggestion.. you’re the pro, I’m a newbie.. just going on what you listed as to why you, yourself, wouldn’t carry the PDP F…
I've been doing some research on some concealment methods for this pistol. The Phlster Enigma Express System has a holster that works for the Walther PDP-F. If I were the EDC, I'd probably want a light mount so I'd need a holster that could mount something like a TLR7A. Still looking XD
I have an Enigma and I loved the idea of it... it does conceal your carry tool very well. That said, the crank that must occur to get it cinched in tight enough to my frame is not comfortable for me.
I have gut issues... so there is that.
Thanks for the suggestion! I really did love the IDEA of it! Best luck to you with it!
@@PistolAndPluck oh I see! Thanks for the insight! I also read somewhere that the PDP F will fit in a PDP compact holster, that should open up options. Although I have not verified that
Nice video
Thanks for being here! I appreciate you ✨️
The PDP-F is a great pistol with a great trigger, but I'd rather EDC the 43X because of the size and Glock's bulletproof reliability. The Walther is a little big to carry every single day for me.
Sounds like we had a very similar takeaway ✨️ Though... I then put it to the test head to head to see what I actually shoot best, run best... and it's still a contender despite her big bones.
It does look a lot wider. Side profiles seem a lot wider. Nice shootin’
I got a holster for my PDP F series 3.5 from Dara Holsters and the holster accommodates the optic. What about a review of the Canik MC9 and a comparison with the 43X. I wish more females review firearms and do it more often. Thanks
Hello Ms. Frost, I would like to know what earmuff you are using in the video, how you like it and where to buy it. Thank you. BTW, I am a new shooter and considering the PDP-F. Your review really helped.
My ear pro is Howard Leight by Honeywell Impact Sport. They are equipped with microphones to hear those other frequencies that matter on the range: voices, footsteps, etc. Thanks for the question, and I appreciate your feedback. Happy Shootin'!
Is the slide noticeably easier to manipulate compared to the glock? My wife is a great shooter, but she struggles with racking the slide on most guns.
Walther claims a 20% reduction. I do not find it difficult to rack. Does she know all the helps to make it easier?
Can you do a video on proper breathing and timing? Should you pull the trigger on breath in or breath out.
Sure, thanks for the suggestion @arthureich9032 Breath cycle for bullseye style shooting, correct?
My stepfather was a range master and he would say “ Breeeeeeath out and squeeze steady . And practice with both hands 👊🏼🇺🇸🫵
I got my holster from the following location for my PDP full size so I know the PDP Compact would work great for it. I higly reccomend it especially the metal double clips for IWB. ALSO the way to keep it from flipping over is to put a "wedge" on the bottomside of the barrel end that goes against your body. That along with a "wing" will make it not print and the ultimate in comfort. Especially if you get a decent belt. ruclips.net/video/FeubDz3zydI/видео.html
Thanks so much for the recommendation @RONALD Sjr (RJR)! Will look into that further 😊
nice shooting cindy---- try BLACK RHINO CONCEALMENT HOLSTERS -- GOOD LUCK AND DONT FORGET YOUR ABC'S ALWAYS BE CARRYING!
holsters are not easy with walther. I wish they had more after Market support. i have a crossbreed holster. "The reckoning" kydex & leather
Thanks for the suggestion☆
@PistolAndPluck no worries. Have you worked with your PDP since the video, or is the size too much for you?
@Felon_With_A_Gun it is a
phenomenal pistol. It functions really well, and I with it, too. The footprint of it is tough to conceal beyond the months I wear winter weight clothes. Flashbang did a similar kydex and leather holster that works well. But... it's added bulk. I shoot this gun really well, but wish it was more the size of a 43x. Despite its size, I shoot it almost shot for shot as well. I do highly recommend the PDP-F for a lot of individuals that come for in-person training (after assessing their fit/ergonomics, preference & and purpose). It's also a great bump in the night response piece.
Hey, side bar... what's with your YT name? 🦝
@PistolAndPluck I'm sorry you can't use it for you EDC. i love mine. My first pistol I've gotten. Shot a few as kids. But this is special to me. Sentimental as well as loving the quality.
Side bar 😂.
Nov of last year I got my 3 felonies and dozens of misdemeanors expunged from my record. After that I legally own and conceal carry a pistol. It's something I thought would never happen in this lifetime. I didn't even do my expungement to get my gun rights back. I didn't think that was possible. But it was. I got my record cleared so I could travel internationally for my work.
I made a couple of shorts if you want to look. But in my profile I have a link to subredir for my article. It's all about the story, and I help other people in MI get Theriot records clean and restore their rights. Without a lawyer. I'm hoping to make a long form instructive video soon about it. To help more people
@PistolAndPluck thanks again for the recommendation on holster. I'll double check it.
cindy check this link maybe this holster fit to your PDP F-Series. 🤗
@Cez Rider There is no link visible here. But I appreciate the point. Maybe just name it here in the comments?
💙🌹😎
I think Glock 19 holsters will work
I'll check!
no dice. all of mine are molded to the specific make and model.
@Cindy Frost good to know...that Was a comment I read on someone else's F series review.
