My fun story about Starsky & Hutch was that when I was about 12 I had convinced my mother to buy me the "Starsky & Hutch" snub-nose .38 caliber toy gun from the show. My brother got one too. We were flying out of Madrid airport in the winter of 1978 and we both had our "guns" in our coat pockets as we boarded the airplane. When security detected them and we produced the "guns" you should have seen their scared expressions! They told us the guns would be handed to the pilot and we would get them back when the plane landed. So it was.
WOW!! Can you imagine if you and your brother did that today with those toy guns??
Loved how they both hedged their answers on whether they liked the movie. How very diplomatic of them.
That movie was absolute garbage. Completely disrespectful to the stars and fans of the show. The only thing they got right was the car. If they were going to put out mess like that they should have just left the series to posterity.
I truly think the director never saw one episode of the show, he didn't know who was who having Starsky more conservative than Hutch. Paul in an interview said he made suggestions to the director and he would look at Paul and say "Starsky would never do THAT." SMH Paul would look at him like "What? I was Starsky" ;
I had always wanted Starskey's cardigan, many years later I was able to spin the yarn and knit it from an old knitting pattern that I was fortunate enough to find and buy, I still love it and the show from which it came

Starsky and Hutch the originals best cop show ever ,💜 didn't care for the movie and as for recreating the chemitry that Pual and David have ,it can never be done its just comes natural for them its special, they look fantastic ❤❤
Movie was the most disrespectful shlock ever. Only thing they got right was the car. Best part of the movie was when Paul and David showed up at the end.

'S&H' was my favorite show as a kid (and 'Charlie's Angels' ... for different reasons).

Same here, except i hated Charlie's angels. S&h was like the of the few shows I tolerated back in the 70s. If a show wasn't based in reality I would never get to see it.

The car was over-done, the characters were over-done and the show was over-done. We all knew that. We all knew that the S & H TV show was not reality. Not our reality anyway. It was mystery, action and adventure. And for that Paul and David and Antonio and Bernie were perfect. So was the car.

Sad that "Starsky" has no appreciation for classic American cars. The '74-'77 Gran Torino was designed to be a comfortable road car, NOT a race car or corner-burner. It was also produced during the early part of the smog-era, so low on power.
With some simple modifications, the Gran Torino can be a well-performing "muscle car". And it looks good.
I was race in Venezuela my father move there for busines in the mid 70s..My firs impression on those days was that Ford was called Ford Fairlane 500 Brougham, only difference was the little window on rear side that the Torino did no had and the 351 v8 was not a Cleveland. The Torino was US made Fairlane was 60% national 40% imported from USA . I fell in love since the first time I saw one , same as the Malibu Classic impala same year and the Caprice and LDT, cars that they war made or assembled since """"""4 bucks you could make full gas tank.""" Later MOnte carlo 78 (wich at my 19 birthday my mom got me one) , Lebaron, Thunderbird or Conquistador. that was the las years of the wonderfull american cars. I moved to Los angeles in 2006, I tryed to buuy one Torino with 65000 orinal milles on it in Lancaster CA $6500 i when there with cash... BY the time I got there ,was Gone...how ever times chage , I only buy Toyota or Civic Honda.on this days Ga$ prices, no other car. I love US cars. from 1982 and back.....( unless a silverado or ford 150 . pick up cars that he USA still make good).
Starky is my love of life. His face for me is handsome extreme, his voice, his atitude, and left handed like me. I had a black 2010 Ford Mustang, all new design. S&H is my favorite TV serial.

I have been a Starsky and Hutch fan from the beginning. it would be great with the technology that they have do a movie with Captain Dobey's funeral which would finally put the end to season one episode twelve with everyone going to jail and Starsky and Hutch retiring.
It's all about the stripe, that stripe transforms the car, it redirects the eye to a completely different place than the car in normal paint.

Even Antonio Fargas gets it with FIATS calling them Fix It Again Tony's! I'm surprised nothing was mentioned about FORDS being referred to as Fix Or Repair Daily's or Found On Road Dead LOL. Im sure Antonio and Paul Michael Glaser would be having a field day! Of course I own a FORD Mustang and I haven't needed to have repairs in over 3 years with the exception of changing spark plugs.

I read that there were four cars used in Starsky and Hutch. Also one car had painted side mirrors and the other car had silver. Unfortunately they used both cars in the same episode which is kind of interesting that editing didn’t notice that but I did
alot more than 4 were used

You got to realize about this Gran Torino they wanted a car that would stand out Paul might disagree and wanted us an everyday car but imagine if they did done Paul's way there wouldn't be a really cool car that stands out everybody say hey that's a starsky and hutch car just like hey there's the batmobile oh hey there's airwolf or hey there's Knight riders car I would tell Paul if I could that they probably wanted a car that would stand out to say hey this car is unique like a DeLorean time machine I would also tell Paul when I was 5 years old watching his show at the very beginning that big car zooming through the alleyways streaking around corners looked really great on TV I mean it's like Smokey and the bandit that trans am starsky's car fits it's unique it's what David starsky liked

I find that Paul, despite all his personal tragedies: the loss of his wife and children, both of whom died of AIDS, hasn't lost his sense of humor, which we found in the series. Now he's lost more than a business partner: his brother!

No offense, but "Really?" Good chance to get great actors from Starsky & Hutch fame, and you ask Antonio Fargas about his Huggy Bear character??? Do your research, then learn about the actors and their characters BEFORE the interview.
