    Nice video dude. I turnt my 14900KS lnto a workstation build, took out my 4090 and paired it with a 9800X 3D. SP score 115. This chip can do 5.4Ghz below 1.2v.

    Would really appreciate if you tested PBO with +200mhz offset vs locking the cores at 5.4

    Everyone should watch this channel if you want more performance than just XMP EXPO. This is a young boy. But he touched on really good information that mainstream reviewers don't. Very unbelievable good job kiddo.

    1% low benchmarking on a max OC daily driver setup is all that has ever mattered. In a world of misinformation, this type of truthful and competent type of product reviewing is extremely scarce. Glad that I had stumbled upon this channel and have found an honest and intelligent reviewer which is a needle in a haystack.

      if i were a competative gamer i would stay on intel or the non x3d chips. the texture pop in on the x3d chips is noticable in many games. despite higher 1% lows, there is still stutter on the x3d chips in certain circumstances that is noticable and repeatable. that said im still on the 9800x3d, im okay with the texture pop in. it bugged me replacing borderlands 2 recently. its really bad in that game. buuuut. generally its not a big deal

      @@s7r49 thx for the input. Ideally you want the GPU and l3 cache to take care of the textures before the ram does. What's your paging file situation looking like and graphics card?

      @@str8chillaxin Should be fine. GPU is a 4090 so i doubt if its using the page file. but page file is set to automatic on windows. I've not monitored it to see whats going on there, I've read a lot of threads and seen some people cover it. my understanding was it was due to the archetecture itself and was not something that could be fixed.

    Zen 5 being 5% faster in gaming is irrelevant , gaming isn't the only thing cpus are used for. Phronix review showed zen 5 has massive gains in scientific and rendering workloads

    Please start to Test on War Thunder! Plus ... on PBO Max Out whit scalar i see alot of people getting 5.450 Mhz ! I will get a 9800X3D whit X870E Taichi!

    Intel & AMD need more improvement. Intel Price is also too much for this spec 👎
    Mac M4 is rocking the field with Les Cost.
    Can buying a Mac mini M4 just be the only cost of the VGA price? If we are planning to make an AMD build equal to the M4 Mini, it will cost three times the M4 Mini.

      Admittedly Apple Silicon M4, is making all the competition look nearly a decade behind. NVIDIA's Vera Rubin ARM CPU will pick up the slack to match in my opinion.

    I have 6200 cl 28 on my 9800x3d with fclk 2067 due to "3:1 ratio latency benefit". Is 3:1 ratio latency benefit still true or is it better to just have the fclk as high as possible?

      3:2 ratio still matters in 1:1 yes ,BUT if you can run 2200FCLK it will be "brute force" faster compared to the idal 2066mhz. I suggest testing FCLK stability with Prime95 Large FFT (2hours )

      @@csabauri351 from what i researched this is only true for workloads outside of gaming. in his case 2066mhz gives u less latency which is superior for gaming. in the need it is only nuances we are talking about...

      After roughly 2133 or more you get better latency. You should test it yourself too

      If you can run at lesat 100mhz higher than whatever the 3:2 ratio is (so in your case 2167+ since its 100 higher than 2066) it will generally be better than the 3:2 ratio. If you can’t run at least 100mhz higher and maintain stability it’s best to just use the 3:2 ratio

    How are the min fps (not lows) and frametime graph smoothness compared to intel? Did you disable SMT on the 7800X3D?

    What’s the point thought when the refresh rate of a monitor is no where near that high gotta cap the fps unless your getting something like a Alienware AW2524H or Alienware AW2524H for example but those are over a G.

      I'm on 1440p 480hz OLED. For me, a cpu that can maintain 500fps in the 1% lows in games like OW and over 430 in the 1% lows in Valorant is all I ever wanted.

    Already seen people hit 500+ cpu fps for bo6 on the 9800x3d, so you are about 10% shy of what it can do
    Also if that’s the cs2 angel benchmark, seen multiple people have achieved 1030fps+ average

      That's because the 9800x3d can do like 5700 all cores when properly cooled and tinkered with, and with sub zero cooling it can go 6ghz all cores very easily.

      500 + cpu fps was just with static ~5.5ghz or with PBO & eclk
      1000+ cs2 benchmark results were just with PBO & Curve optimizer or PBO + eclk
      5.7 direct die with even more extreme ram timings would 100% exceed 1050

    have the same board and ive got my 9800 overclocked, did you notice any stutters when games launch or alt tabbing? its already better i think it was driver issues. my mobo also doesnt seem to like the ac power loss setting in the bios no matter which one i pick, seems like if its off long enough as soon as i switch the power, not even hitting the power button, it will boot lol

    Oh ya the new bios in the asus rog strix b650e-f has new turbo mode witch determines smt and overclock is enabled so yes this made my games faster.just wanted to say that.

    would you mind doing a guide for 9800x3d tuning? I feel like thats missing so far. I have no experience with OCing at all but would be interested to try it out. So far I just enabled XMP and used the PBO -40 profile from ASRock. It works fine but looking at that cs2 benchmark I only get about 770-790 FPS with all low, 2k res, no DLSS (now that I type this... I need to recheck if I'm GPU bound by my 4080).

    $500 is too much for that Ugly MB. I have the ASUS ROG Crosshair HERO VIII But $700 for the new Hero is WAY TOO MUCH, I got the MSI Carbon Wifi and it looks and works great with the 9800X3D with 8000 MT/s in EXPO with a 4090.

    AMD fanboys are finally getting the gaming experience 13900k optimizers have had for 2 years+ don't forget the AMDip and windows lag ect. The 9800X3D is for people who don't know what to do besides slot a cpu into a board.

      tbf from the benchmarks and clocks clearly shown on ingame charts the 14900ks in the vid is stock would be on par with the 7800x3d with a decent oc but just a waste of time imo.

      This testing method shows MAX FPS that ANY res/settings combo can do.
      All higher res (with or without upscaling) can do is The Same Or Less. At any point where the GPU starts holding things back.

      Yes, they do. They’re just gonna delay it for another 3 to 4 years while AMD gets even better with X3D and Intel will release Last Level Cache for Xeons, NOT Intels consumer CPUs that need them most.
      Pat Gelsinger needs to be replaced for Intel to stay relevant.

      @ ARM is demonstrably important, ARM does matter. This is a silly statement.
      Apple Silicon ARM M4 Max, beats the Threadripper PRO 7995wx in performance. And it fits in your backpack with all day battery life!
      ARM will equal x86 in performance and software compatibility within a few years. X86 isn’t going anywhere, but ARM is powerful, not to aforementioned, far too power efficient not to gain mind share in the long run! ARM and X86 will both be the industry standard within half a decade in my opinion.

    Benchmarks could be better. Only benchmark outside of built-in benchmarks matter and only look at 1% lows, average just adds stutter.
    Easy to know if you play games with low and terrible FPS.
